China Pharmacy 1991;0(02):-
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the concentration- time curve of ferulic acid(FA) in serum of healthy male volunteers after oral administration of Guanxin II (GXEH) and to study its pharmacokinetic parameters.METHODS: Serum FA level was determined by HPLC in healthy male volunteers after single oral administration of GXEH(4.5g?kg-1) decoction. RESULTS: No double - peak occurred in the concentration - time curve of FA.6 -fold interindividual variation was noted in maximum blood drug level. The pharmacokinetic parameters were stated as follows: Ka: (0.26?0.350) min-1; Ke: (0.013?0.004 17)min-1;t1/2Ke: (63.45?32.288)min;tmax:(24.117?14.631) min, AUC:(13 263.51?6 478.275)ng?min-1?mL-1; CL/F(s):(0.000 44?0.000 268)L?g-1?min-1.CONCLUSION:There is a significant individual FA level difference in healthy male volunteers after oral oral administration of GXEH decoction, and both the absorption and the elemination of FA are fast.
4.Arterial stiffness and associated factors in maintenance hemodialysis patients
Chinese Journal of Nephrology 2008;24(4):245-248
Objective To study the arterial stiffness in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD)patients and to explore the associated factors. Methods Ninety MHD patients and 36 healthy controls were enrolled in the study.Automatic pulse wave velocity (PWV) measuring system was applied to examine carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity(CFPWV)and carotid-radial PWV(CRPWV)as the parameters reflecting central elastic large arterial and peripheral muscular medium-sized arterial elasticity respectively.Blood pressure and biochemical parameters were detected.Backward muhiple linear regression analysis was used to assess the influencing factors of arterial stiffness. Results CFPWV and CRPWV in MHD patients were greater than those of healthy controls [(13.22±3.23)m/s vs(10.67±2.11)m/s and(9.58±1.87)m/s vs(8.81±1.09)m/s,all P<0.05].Backward multiple regression analysis demonstrated that age and pulse pressure were positively correlated with CFPWV,while dialysis duration, calcium phosphorus product, parathyroid hormone, low density lipoprotein and mean arterial blood pressure were signiticantly correlated with CRPWV.Volume reduction after single dialysis session could not improve arterial stiffness ofMIlD patients. Conclusions Arterial stiffness of large artery and peripheral muscular medium-sized artery increases in MHD patients.Age and pulse pressure are major determinants of large artery stiffness.Peripheral muscular medium-sized arterial stillness is more easily influenced by dialysis-associated factors.

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(05):-
Objective To explore the effects of ingestion of purified drinking water from water treatment devices on health of rats. Methods Under the same feeding conditions, the Wistar rats were divided into different exposure groups exposed to different kinds of drinking water such as electrolytic ion water (alkaline water), reverse osmosis water, middle hollow fabric filtered water, copper-zinc ally (KDF) filtered water, municipal water and source water respectively. The changes of the indexes including organ coefficient, routine blood test, blood biochemistry and electrolyte were observed at the 3rd and the 6th month of the exposure. Results Higher levels of the count of white blood cells and neutrophil, and higher concentrations of seralbumin and total albumin in serum were observed in rats of tap water group compared with those in control group (P

Objective To investigate the influence of abnormal lipid metabolism on prognosis and quality of life in patients with severe COPD. Methods 134 patients with severe COPD in our hospital from September 2013 to January 2015 were selected as research objects, and their blood lipid levels were detected. The patients were divided into the normal group (n=61) and the low level group (n=73) according to the test results of lipid levels. 1-year mortality rate was statistically analyzed in both groups , and the WHOQOL-BREF health survey profile was applied to assess quality of life before and after treatment. Results 1-year survival rate in the normal group was 90.16%(55/61), which was higher than 73.97%(54/73) in the low level group (χ2=5.741, P=0.017). As compared with the normal group, the scores on physiological function, environment, social relationship, mental state, spirit / religious / belief, and total quality of lifewere markedly lower in the low level group after treatment (P < 0.05). The correlation analysis showed that plasma levels of TC, TG, and HDL-C were negatively correlated with 1-year mortality rate in patients with severe COPD (P < 0.05) but positively related with all dimensions in quality of life; plasma HDL-C level was positively related with 1-year mortality rate (P < 0.05), but negatively related with all dimensions in quality of life in patients with severe COPD (P < 0.05). Conclusions For patients with severe COPD, abnormal lipid metabolism is closely related with prognosis and quality of life. We should pay attention to nutritional support and control of abnormal lipid metabolism in those patients , leading to improvement of prognosis and quality of life.

BACKGROUND: The use of bone graft materials can promote bone fusion and enhance the stability of the spine during the spinal fusion. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s with hydroxyapatite/ tricalcium phosphate in the spinal fusion. METHODS: A retrospective analysis of clinical data of 64 patients with spinal fusion was carried out, and these patients were divided into two groups (n=32 per group): control group undergoing autogenous iliac bone grafting and observation group undergoing autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s combined with hydroxyapatite/tricalcium phosphate. Al patients were fol owed up for 12 months, and their recovery conditions about low back pain, spinal fusion and vertebral reset were assessed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The low-back outcome scale scores and excel ent rate, Lenke grading and Cobb angle had insignificant differences between the two groups after treatment (P > 0.05). No infection, inflammation and skin irritation occurred in the two groups. The coagulation function, renal function and inflammatory factor levels were at normal levels in al the patients, and there was no difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). These findings indicate that autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s combined with hydroxyapatite/tricalcium phosphate can achieve clinical outcomes equivalent to the autologous iliac bone grafting.
