1.Micro-holism theory in Chinese medicine
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(05):-
One of the characteristics and advantages of Chinese medicine is holism, which emphasizes harmony of human and nature. It compares the physiological and pathological change of human body with the natural normal or unmoral change by using thinking of analogy by classification, inferring the internal essence according to external synptoms and signs. And it intends to reveal body black-box,and holds physiological and pathological change from macroscopic level, but there are some fuzziness and ambiguity. With the development of morden science on the microscopic fields, some breakthroughs and theoretical systems are established. As the same,Chinese medicine holism must be micro-adjusted and establish its own micro-holism theory, which will be benefit for itself.
2.Philosophical thinking on insufficient innovation of TCM theory under the background of modern science and technology
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(06):-
TCM is an opening science. With endless absorption of the contemporaneous achievement, organic combination of contemporaneous new theories, and under the guidance of the own philosophical methodology, the TCM achieves innovation and development. However, under the background of modern technology, the theory of TCM has not been innovated far insufficiently, which effects the development of TCM to a great extent.

[Objective] To investigate the pathological features, secretion of interleukin-8 (IL - 8), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-?) and secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA) and helicobacter pylori (HP) infection in gastric mucosa (GM) of chronic superficial gastritis with spleen-stomach and damp-heat syndrome (SSDHS) and to explore their correlations. [Methods] Fifty-five cases of chronic superficial gastritis included 35 cases of SSDHS (Group A) and 20 cases of spleen-deficiency syndrome (Group B). Fifteen asymptomatic volunteers served as normal control group (Group C). Pathological changes, HP infection rate, levels of IL - 8, TNF -? and sIgA in GM were observed. [Results] HP infection rate was higher and inflammatory change was more obvious in Group A than those in Group B and Group C (P 0.05). [Conclusion] Gastric mucosa of chronic superficial gastritis with SSDHS presents inflammatory changes, which is related with the increase of IL - 8 and TNF -? secretion and the decrease of sIgA, and HP infection may be one of the factors inducing and enhancing the pathological changes.

[Objective] To study the relationship between syndrome patterns of traditional Chinese medicine and bcl- 2 oncogene, p53 suppression gene mRNA expressions in precancerous lesions of gastric cancer (PIGC). [Methods] Forty PLGC cases were endoscopically and pathologically confinned, including 24 cases of moderate dysplasia of gastric mucosa, 9 cases of severe dysplasia, 7 cases of incomplete colonic intestinal metaplasia. Of the 40 cases, 10 were complicated with Qi stagnation, 12 with stomach-heat, and 18 with blood stasis, mRNA expression of bcl- 2 oncogene and p53 suppression gene were detected in situ by molecular hybridization method. [Results] The mRNA overexpression of bcl- 2 oncogene and p53 suppression gene were found in PLGC, and the expression was gradually increased with the progress of lesions. In the complicated cases, the mRNA expression of bcl- 2 oncogene and p53 suppression gene were the least in the cases with Qi stagnation and less in the cases with stomach- heat than in the cases with blood stasis. [Conclusion] Abnormal mRNA expression of bcl- 2 oncogene and p53 suppression gene were found in PLGC cases and related with different complicated cases, indicating the specificity of different syndrome patterns.

Objective To investigate the effects of bisoprolol combined with rosuvastatin on endothelial function and inflammation in patients with coronary slow flow (CSF). Methods Ninety CSF patients treated from August 2014 to October 2015 were randomly divided into control group, statin group and combined group, thirty cases in each group. The control group was given conventional therapy (aspirin 100 mg/d and isosorbide mononitrate 60 mg/d), statin group was given rosuvastatin 10 mg/d on the basic of control group, while the combined group was given bisoprolol 5 mg/d on the basic therapy of statin group. The serum concentrations of nitric oxide (NO), endothelin-1(ET-1), high-sensitivity c-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) were detected before treatment and 8 weeks after treatment. The improvement of patients with angina pectoris was evaluated. Results After eight-week treatment, the NO levels were significantly increased in combined group and statin group, while the ET-1, hs-CRP and IL-6 levels were significantly decreased than those before the treatment (P<0.05). At the same time, comparing with the statin group and control group, the NO level was increased in combined group (P<0.05), while the ET-1, hs-CRP, and IL-6 levels decreased significantly (P<0.05). There were significant differences in the effective rates between the combined group (90.0%) and the statin group (83.3%), which were higher than those in control group (56.7%). Conclusion Bisoprolol combined with rosuvastatin can improve the endothelial function and anti-inflammatory in the treatment of CSF.

Achievements of the 30-year research work on Pi-Wei Doctrine were summarized. They are: (1) ratio of salivin activity and excretion rate of D-xylose in patients with spleen deficiency are different from those in the normal subjects;(2) the principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment is embodied in the methodology of herbal medicine pharmacology for complex prescription; (3) the above findings are further confirmed by the research in molecular and cellular level which indicates that TCM syndromes and pharmacological mechanisms of herbal medicines have their material basis and the regulatory effect of complex prescription on TCM syndromes is actually the pharmacological mechanism of herbal medicines. It is suggested that the research of herbal medicine should be based on the guidance of traditional Chinese medicinal theory and carried out in clinical practice.

Objective To analyze the correlation between the tubular gastric width and the anti gastroesophageal reflux after esophageal cancer operation, and to provide reference for the choice of surgical methods in treatment of esophageal cancer. Methods Selected 60 patients who received radical surgery for esophageal carcinoma combined with gastric tube reconstruction surgery in our hospital from January 2015 to October 2015,and divided them into two groups according to the way of stomach tube anastomosis (cervical anastomosis, thoracic anastomosis) and different width of gastric tube (greater than or equal to or less than 3 cm).Namely:cervical anastomosis + greater than or equal to 3 cm group(14 cases),cervical anastomosis + less than 3 cm group(15 cases),thoracic anastomosis + greater than or equal to 3 cm group(15 cases) and thoracic anastomosis + less than 3 cm group(16 cases). All patients recieved esophageal pH monitoring for 3 days continuously from the 11 th day after operation. The monitoring indicators include:number of reflux, accumulation time of pH < 4,whether there were clinical symptoms (heartburn, chest pain, pharyngeal foreign body sensation, cough, asthma, etc.) after surgery, and the frequency and time of these clinical symptoms appeared. All the patients were given endoscopic examination at the 14th days postoperatively.Observed the esophageal mucosa of patients and conducted histopathological grading of gastric mucosal inflammation. And then made a correlation analysis of gastric tube width and esophageal mucosal inflammation grade among all the patients with reflux symptoms. Results The cumulative time and number of reflux, incidence rate of clinical symptoms, and pH values less than 4 were significantly different(P < 0.05).The cumulative time and number of reflux, incidence rate of clinical symptoms, and pH values less than 4 in the cervical anastomosis + less than 3 cm group were significantly lower than that in the other 3 groups(P < 0.05),with statistical significance between different groups of endoscopic esophageal mucosa inflammation grade difference (P < 0.05).Esophageal mucosal inflammation grading in patients of the cervical anastomosis + less than 3 cm group was the lightest. It showed a linear correlation between the gastric tube width and esophageal mucosal inflammation grading in patients with reflux symptoms. Conclusion Postoperative gastroesophageal reflux is closely related to stomach esophagus width after resection of esophageal carcinoma with tubular stomach reconstruction of stomach esophagus, because it is unable to control gastric tube width to the appropriate range. And it should be strengthened in patients with reflux related indicators for monitoring,so as to take measures to prevent gastroesophageal reflux as soon as possible to improve the prognosis of patients with quality.
