1.The Effects of Group Counseling on Internet-Dependent College Students

Objective:To study the accessibility and the effect of group counseling which aim at the internet-dependence college students in China.Methods:According to the internet dependence standard which was established in the author's former research, chose 24 internet dependence students from Tsinghua University and JiLi University as the experimental group, and another 24 students as the control group.The experimental group and the control group had no difference in the scores of adapted CIAS-R before group counseling.There were a pre-test, a post-test and a tracing-test separately set when the group counseling was started, finished, and had a period of 6 weeks after it was finished.Results:In the post-test and tracing-test, the scores of adapted CIAS-R of experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group(39.5?8.1/46.4?6.0,F=11.38,P
2.Self-concept and Mental Health of College Students

Objective: To study the self-concept and mental health of college students. Method: 1006 students were tested by Tennax Self Concept Scale (TSCS) and SCL-90. Result: There was positive correlation between student's self-concept and their mental health (r=0.60, p<0.05). Conclusion: This result provides a base for further study on self-concept and mental health.
3.Status and trends of group counseling researches from 1996 to 2013 in China

Objective:To investigate the current status and trends of group counseling research in China by bibliometric analysis and content analysis.Method:Using methods of bibliometrics and content analysis,Chinese papers on group counseling in 1996 -2013 which were found in CNKI were analyzed in 6 aspects including litera-ture number,sources,research type,topic,quality and competence of group counselors.Results:A total number of 516 papers were found,in which 51.0% of journal articles and 49.0% of dissertations.The research methods and topics were developing from outcome and quantitative research to multiple methods and topics including process re-search,process-outcome research,qualitative research,combined research and theoretical research.The problems were that researchers were still focused on outcome research (92.6%)and quantitative research (54.5%).As to research quality,40.7% of journal articles were published on CSSCI,22.5% of the experimental studies had no control groups,among which 43.3% were not randomized or matched,and 75.5% of outcome researches had not traced long-term effects.In 65.4% of the researches,group leaders'qualifications were not described.Conclusion:The group counseling research in China is developed quite rapidly,and the research type and topic are more di-verse,but the quality of the studies needs to be improved,and the competence of group leaders needs to be exam-ined.

Objective:To study the data collecting from mental assistance hotline for SARS in Beijing to find the psychological changes of the local citizens from the end of April to the first part of June, 2003 Methods:Quantitative statistic and qualitative method were used to analyse the data got from the hotline Result:The data showed there were three psychological phases: panic, irritancy and recovering phases among Beijing citizens during the SARS epidemic The importance of setting a national disasters and crisis intervention system was also pointed out at authors at the end of this paper
5.Development of group psychotherapy in China: A review from bibliometric perspective

Objective:To figure out the development status of group psychotherapy and its problems and trends in China.Methods:Properties and contents,intervention programs and methods of 386 chosen articles from key journals of psychology and Doctor & Master Thesis in the group psychotherapy area were examined with bibliometric analyses and content analysis.Result:It showed a fast increase in properties and contents for the last 15 years.The proportion of clinical and sub-clinical study was 1 ∶ 4.Totally 53.9% of studies focused on anxiety and depression,89.4% were quantitative studies and 86.9% were effect studies.As for the intervention programs,36.5% were CBT,90.0% were short-term treatment group below 12 times,35.6% were lack of details in introductions and 67.8% had other missing descriptions of group leader.As for the methods,34.9% of participants were undergraduates,experimental (34.9%) and comprehensive (44.6%) methods were dominant,and difference test (58.3%) was most widely used statistical analysis.The self-report effect evaluation accounted for about 91.4%,and the follow-up studies were less than 22%.Totally 42.9% of studies were lack of ethical consideration.Conclusion:The status of group psychotherapy in China is still in its early developmental phase,which need further standardization and improvement.
