Objective To evaluate the efficacy and adverse reactions of CT-guided 125I radioactive seed implantation in treatment of locally recurrent rectal cancer (LRRC).Methods Thirty patients with LRRC who refused operation or were unable to endure pelvic radiotherapy received 125I seed implantation under CT guidance.Three-dimensional treatment planning system was used to calculate the number, activity, and dose of the seeds needed. The activity of seeds ranged from 14.8 to 29.6 MBq with a median of 25.9 MBq,the seed numbers ranged from 33 to 137 with a median of 74.5,the prescription doses ranged from120-160 Gy,and the actual verification dose D90 ranged from 75.91 to 159.32 Gy with a median of 119.77 Gy.Dosimetric verification by CT scanning was conducted immediately after the treatment.Follow-up was conducted for 15.2 months(4.2-35.0 months). Results The follow-up rate was 93.3%.The pain relief rate was 95.2%.The overall response rate was 50.0%,including a complete response rate of 13.3% and a partial response rate of 36.7%.The 1-and 2-year local control rates were 30.0% and 8.0% respectively. The median local control survival time was 7.8 month. The 1-and 2-year survival rates were 66.5% and 32.9% respectively. The median overall survival time was 21.5 months.Complications, mainly adverse effects of skin and urinary system (frequent urination, urgent urination, and dysuria) occurred in 6 patients with a rate of 20.0%.Conclusions Minimally invasive and with satisfying efficacy and tolerable complications,CT-guided 125I radioactive seed implantation is a favorable option for treatment of LRRC,especially for the patients who have undergone previous pelvic radiation.

Objective:To explore the application effect of ultrasound evaluation of atelectasis in general anesthesia. Methods:Eighty patients who underwent general anesthesia surgery at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wannan Medical College from January 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the study subjects. The gold standard was chest CT diagnosis of perioperative atelectasis, and they were divided into atelectasis group (39 cases) and control group (41 cases). Twelve regional images, including left upper anterior chest, left lower anterior chest, right upper anterior chest, right lower anterior chest, left upper chest, left lower chest, right upper chest, right upper chest, right lower chest, right upper chest, right lower chest, right upper chest, right lower chest, right lower chest, right lower chest, left upper chest, right lower chest, left upper chest, right lower chest, left upper posterior region, left lower chest, left lower posterior region, left lower posterior region, right upper posterior region, and right lower posterior region, were collected by pulmonary ultrasound (LUS) at time points T 1 after entering the room, 30 minutes after tracheal intubation (T 2), 30 minutes after extubation (T 3), 24 hours after surgery (T 4), and 48 hours after surgery (T 5), And an improved semi quantitative scoring method for evaluating lung ventilation was used to compare the LUS scores of the two groups at 5 time points. Results:There was no statistically significant difference in LUS scores between the two groups of patients in different lung zones at T 1 (all P>0.05); There are varying degrees of differences in LUS scores for the same lung partition at different times (all P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in LUS scores between T 2 and T 5 for left upper anterior chest, left lower anterior chest, right upper anterior chest, left upper chest, right upper chest, left upper posterior region, and right upper posterior region (all P>0.05); The LUS scores of the T 2-T 5 atelectasis group in the lower left chest, lower right chest, lower left posterior area, and lower right posterior area were higher than those of the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusions:LUS can be used to evaluate atelectasis during general anesthesia and has broad clinical application and promotion value.

Nitroxide radicals are a kind of stable organic free radicals.Due to the presence of N-O·and unpaired electrons in its structure,it has many characteristics, and thus can be used as a spin marker to explore the mechanism of biological reactions;with its magnetic properties,it can be used for the development of multifunctional magnetic molecular materials and used as a polymerization inhibitor and catalyst in organic reactions.More importantly,it has a variety of biological activities such as anti-oxidation and anti-tumor,and so has attracted much attention in the research and development of new drugs. For example, the spin labeling of nitroxide radicals on anticancer drug podophyllotoxin can enhance the efficacy and reduce the toxicity, and can be easily to be absorbed by the body, thus obtaining a new anti-cancer drug 4-[4″-(2″,2″,6″,6″-tetramethyl-1″-piperidinyloxy nitroxide radical)amino]-4′-demethyl epipodophyllotoxin(GP-7).It is an effective way to seek new drugs by introducing pharmacophore to modify nitroxide radicals or it can be spin-labeled on active natural products to obtain new compounds with high efficiency and low toxicity. The research progress of derivatives and its biological activitives of nitroxide radicals are summarized, aiming to provide theoretical basis for the developing and utilizing of nitroxide radicals and searching for new drugs.
