Objective To investigate the influence of three kinds of different Ca~(2+) concentration of dialysate on serum calcium,calcium-phosphorus product, serum PTH and CRP in maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods 45 patients of maintenance hemodialysis with ages ≥18 years were selected. They were divided randomly three groups, and be given three different kinds of Ca~(2+) concentration of dialysate to carry out hemodialysis with 3 months. Then the patients' variation of blood pressure and whether there were low calcium spasm or ostealgia were abserved during hemodialysis whole range. In addition, changes of their serum calcium、phosphorus、iPTH and CRP at pretherapy and three months after reatment were also detected. Results After three months of hemodialysis, serum iPTH in patients with low Ca~(2+) concentration dialysate increased obviously, and the serum CRP decreased significantly(P0.05),and serum CRP increase notably(P

Objective To observe the effects of aloe juice on skin wound healing in scalded rats and scavenging the oxygen free radical in their bodies. Methods 24 rats were divided into 3 groups, namely, aloe group, burn cream group and blank control group. And burn wounds ( Ⅱ degree deep) were created with a diameter of 2. 6cm in their backs, respectively. Smear Burn Ointment and Aloe Vera juice, were used to observe the time of the appearance of their epithelial tissues and the time of the wound healing, and the content of SOD, GSH-PX and MDA in healed skin surfaces were detected. Results The time of the appearance of epithelial tissues[(4.6 ±0. 56)d ,(16.2±2.6),(5.4±0.6)d,(18. 1 ±3.4)d,(6.8± 0. 3) d , (22. 3 ± 3.2 ) d], the wound healing and the content of SOD [( (98.07 ± 6. 22) vs(83.97 ± 6. 34), (57. 50 ± 9. 43 )], GSH-PX [(243.21 ± 20. 18)vs (208.25 ± 24. 52), ( 139. 88 ± 22. 70)] and MDA [(4. 89 ±2. 12) vs (6. 93 ± 3.05 ), (8.98 ± 2. 14)] in aloe group have significant difference compared with the blank group( P <0.01, 0.001, 0.005), but no significant difference compared with the burn cream group. Conclusion Aloe juice has the effects of promoting the skin wound healing of scalded rats ,scavenging the oxygen free radical in their bodies and protecting cells.

OBJECTIVE:To compare the cost-effectiveness and quality of survival among different therapeutic regimens for diabetic patients with sulfonylureas secondary failure(SSF).METHODS:The cost-effectiveness and the effects on patients life quality of four therapeutic schemes(group A: mixed-human insulin;group B:repaglinide and metformin;group C:repaglinide and acarbose;group D:glipizide, metfonmin and novolin N) were compared using cost-effectiveness analysis in pharmacoeconomics and DSQOL(diabetic patients’ score on quality of life).RESULTS:Group A showed the best clinical efficiency, with cost-effectiveness ratio significantly lower, physiological and psychological dimension scores significantly higher and social dimension score significantly lower than in all the other 3 groups, and all were of significant differences, but no significant differences were noted in therapeutic dimension score as compared with the other 3 groups.CONCLUSION:Insulin is optimal among four schemes in the treatment of diabetic patients with sulfonylureas secondary failure in the cost-effectiveness analysis, and it has the best efficacy in the improvement of patients’ physiology and psychology.

BACKGROUND: Preliminary study has prepared the three-dimensional silk fibroin/chitosan/nano-hydroxyapatite scaffold successfully.OBJECTIVE: To explore the mechanical properties, physical characteristics, chemical composition and antibiotic sustained-release ability of three-dimensional silk fibroin/chitosan/nano-hydroxyapatite scaffold loaded with levofloxacin. METHODS: Levofloxacin/chitosan (3:1) microspheres were constructed by emulsion settlement filter method. 5, 7.5 and 10 g of microspheres were added into 2% of silk fibroin/chitosan/nano-hydroxyapatite mixed solution through freeze drying and chemical cross-linking to obtain the scaffolds loaded with antibiotics. The scaffolds loaded with antibiotics underwent scanning electron microscope observation, and chemical composition analysis. The sustained release, mechanical properties, porosity, water absorption expansion rate and hot water soluble loss rate were detected. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Scanning electron microscope observed that there were drug microspheres at the inner wall of the scaffold, and the voidage was decreased with mass of microspheres increasing. (2) Energy spectrum analysis showed that the three kinds of scaffolds were rich in calcium and phosphonium ions. (3) The three kinds of scaffolds showed the same releasing trend, which presented with sudden-release effect at the former 3 days (release> 50%) , and then tended to be stable. The release rate was the slowest in the scaffold loaded with 10 g of microscopes, and the rapidest in the scaffold loaded with 5 g of microscopes. (4) With the mass of microspheres increasing, there was an increase in the compressive and tension abilities and hot water soluble loss rate, and a decrease in the porosity, mean pore size and water absorption expansion rate. (5) These results indicate that the three-dimensional tissue-engineered scaffold loaded with levofloxacin is constructed successfully by freeze drying and chemical cross-linking method, which holds good sustained-release effect and compressive ability, water absorption expansion rate and hot water soluble loss rate.
