Objective To study of cellular immune function change of elderly patients with non-small car-cinoma after chemotherapy.Methods 62 patients with non-small carcinoma by age was divided into elderly group (≥60 years old)and youth group (<60 years old).The lymphocytes and their subsets CD3,CD4,CD8 levels were detected respectively in 2 weeks after chemotherapy and chemotherapy before compared with 20 cases of healthy vol-unteers.Results The immune condition of CD3[(51.87 ±2.56)%,(58.98 ±3.87)%]and CD4[(35.01 ± 5.12)%,(42.12 ±3.54)%],CD4/CD8[(0.89 ±0.49)%,(1.08 ±0.86)%]levels were significantly lower than those of healthy controls.Two groups of patients compared with healthy group CD3(69.38 ±8.54)%,CD4(48.21 ± 3.45)%,CD4/CD8(1.87 ±0.85)%(t=10.586,5.998,10.087,6.093,5.170,3.236,all P<0.05),and CD8 [(32.68 ±3.64)%,(30.24 ±2.45)%]levels were higher than those of healthy controls (26.10 ±2.89%)(t=6.777,5.531,all P<0.05);The CD3 and CD4,CD4/CD8 of elderly group patients were markedly lower than that of young patients (t=8.472,6.394,3.059,all P<0.05).The CD8 levels of the elderly group was higher than young patients (t=3.114 2,P<0.05);The Elderly group and young patients after 2 cycles of chemotherapy CD3 signifi-cantly was lower than before treatment (t=10.233,16.847,all P<0.05),but the two groups of patients with CD4, CD8 and CD4/CD8 levels before and after treatment (P>0.05);There was no significant difference with CD3 level of the two groups of patients after chemotherapy (P>0.05);The CD3 level of the two groups of patients after chemo-therapy was no significant difference (P>0.05),the elderly group patients after chemotherapy with CD4 levels was lower than young patients (t=7.130,P<0.05).The CD8 and CD4/CD8 level of the two groups after chemotherapy were no significant difference (P>0.05);The CD3 levels of patient withⅠ-Ⅱ stage were significantly better than patients withⅢ-Ⅳstage (t=1.584,1.721,all P<0.05),the CD4,CD8 and CD4/CD8 level of the two groups had no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The senile non-small carcinoma patients need assistance targeted immunotherapy,also need to adjust according to the patient's age and clinical staging in patients with chemotherapy drug doses.

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of laparoscopitotal mesorectal excision (TME) with sphincter-preservation in the treatmenof low rectal cancerby using metanalysi.MethodThe electronidatabase(PubMed ,Medline ,Ov-id ,Cochrane Library ,Controlled TrialRegistry ,SinoMedCBM ,Wanfang Dat,CNKI ,VIP ,eal) were retrieved .The related litera-tureon the randomized controlled trail(RCTs) and the non-randomized controlled trails(non-RCTs) comparing laparoscopiver-sulaparotomy TME with sphincter-preservation fotreating low rectal cancepublished from January 2001 to Octobe2012 were collected .The RevMan5 .2 software waused to conducthe metanalysi.ResultTwelve studieincluding 1 508 patientwere included ,in which the laparoscopigroup had 781 caseand the laparotomy group had 727 case.The metanalysiresultshowed thacompared with the laparotomy group ,the laparoscopiTME(LTME) group with sphincter-preservation had significantly lesestimated blood loss[mean difference(MD)= -67 .13 ,95% confidence interval(CI) (-78 .74 ,-55 .51) ,P＜0 .01] ,longedistal resection margins[MD=0 .15 ,95% CI(0 .01 ,0 .29) ,P= 0 .04] ,earlieintestinal functional recovery [MD= -1 .16 ,95% CI (-1 .32 ,-1 .01) ,P＜0 .01] ,shortehospital stay [MD= -3 .99 ,95% CI (-5 .36 ,-2 .63) ,P＜0 .01) ,lestotal morbidity [oddratio(OR)=0 .40 ,95% CI (0 .25 ,0 .63) ,P＜0 .01] ,anastomotileakage[OR=0 .60 ,95% CI (0 .37 ,0 .96) ,P=0 .03] ,urinary re-tention[OR=0 .40 ,95% CI(0 .18 ,0 .87) ,P=0 .02] and incision infection[OR=0 .26 ,95% CI(0 .11 ,0 .61) ,P=0 .002] .The statis-tically significandifferencewere nofound between the two groupin the numbeof lymph node dissection,length of resected specimen ,postoperative obstruction and the 2-yeaoverall survival rate(P＞0 .05) .Conclusion LTME with sphincter-preservation fotreating low rectal cancehathe advantageof lessurgical traum,rapid postoperative recovery and few complication.Never-theles,iineeded to conducfurtheresearch fovalidating whetheLTME with sphincter-preservation having the superiority in the aspectof postoperative anal function recovery and long-term outcome .

Objective Investigating transplanted time of periosteal mesenchymal stem cell (PMSC) Methods Rat PMSCs were allografted into rat tibia defects made in different time of granulation Then the quantity of formatted bone,i.e.,trabecular volumm rate (TVR),in the defects were measured in histology and bone histomorphometry by 2,3,4 and 8 weeks respectively after transplantation The long bone draft fracture defects of patients were allografted with PMSC of youth children after 2 week of fracture Results TVR was higher and the defects healed more fast in those rats transplanted PMSCs within 2 weeks after the defect were made However there was insignificant difference between the groups of PMSC transplantation was carried out after two weeks of the defect The fractured defects were healed in 15 cases (57 7%) and were not healed in 11 cases (42 3) after 9 months of transplantation Conclusion That rat bone defects were transplanted PMSC within 2 weeks showed expected bone formed effect and insignificant effect on accelerating defect healing by PMSC transplantation in rats or patients after 2 weeks.

BACKGROUND:The studies regarding reference values of fraction excretion of uric acid(FEUA)is poorly understood.OBJECTIVE:To establish reference values of FEUA in healthy adults in Qingdao area.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The investigation and analysis was performed at the Qingdao Medical College from August 2007 to August 2008.PARTICIPANTS:A total of 581 healthy adults with aged 20-70 years,including 279 male and 302 female stayed in Qingdao more than 5 years were selected from August 2007 to August 2008.The adults were divided into groups according to the ages.There were 61 adults in the group aged 21-30 years(32 male and 29 female);92 adults in the group aged 31-40 years(40 male and 52 female);173 adults in the group aged 41-50 years(82 male and 91 female);169 adults in the group aged 51-60 years(88 male and 81 female);and 86 adults aged more than 60-year-old(37 male and 49 female).METHODS:The uric acid and creatinine of fasting blood and 12 h urine taken and tested with Sysmex chemix-180 to calculate FEUA,the results were statistically analyzed by SPSS 16.0 software.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:①Comparison of general information and biochemical index.②Comparison of serum uric acid,FEUA in sexes and reference values of FEUA.③Comparison of serum uric acid,FEUA in different age groups.RESULTS:Serum uric acid in male was higher,but FEUA was lower than that of female,there were significant difference between different genders(P 0.05).The normal range of FEUA in female and male was 4.039%-10.613% and 3.447%-9.915%,respectively.CONCLUSION:The reference value of FEUA in healthy adults in Qingdao is preliminarily established.To provide evidence for hyperuricemia control and prevention,it is necessary to establish respective reference values of FEUA and prompting the excretion of uric acid for healthy male and female.

Objective To establish the HPLC fingerprints of Fructus Ligustri Lucidi.Methods HPLC-ELSD analysis was carried out with Lichrospher C18 column(4.6 mm ? 250 mm,5 ?m).The detector was Alltech ELSD 2000.The method was developed by gradient elution with methanol and water as the mobile phase.With oleanolic acid as the marker,sixteen batches of Fructus Ligustri Lucidi were analyzed with computer-aided similarity evaluation system.Results HPLC fingerprints of Fructus Ligustri Lucidi showed 14 characteristic peaks and the similarity of the fingerprints of 10 batches of samples was over 0.90,indicating the fingerprints being stable and repeatable.Conclusion The method is simple,accurate and with a good reproducibility,and can be used for the identification and quality control of Fructus Ligustri Lucidi.

Aim To study relationship between expressions of apoptosis-related gene bax and bcl-x in heopatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues and its clinical feature. Mothods The expression of Bax and Bcl-x were determined by immunohistochemistry with EnvisionTM system. Results Bcl-x and Bax proteins were detectable in 20 and 19 out of 40 HCCs, respectively. Their expressions in HCC cells were lower than those in cirrhosis(P＜ 0.05), The expression of Bax and Bcl-x in highly or intermediatly differentiated HCC cells were highed than that in low-diffe-rehtiated HCC cells suggesting that there was significant relationship among bcl-x and bax expressions and differential degree， clinical stages of HCC cells， and AFP level. However, the expression of this proteins showed no relationship with patient's sex and age(＞ 60 or ＜ 60 years old) (＞ 0.05). Conclusion Apoptosis-related genes bcl-x and bax participate partially in apoptotic regulation of HCC cells, and show that their expressions have correlation with differential degree, clinical stage of HCC cells and AFP levels.
