1.A Comparison between Qualitative Research Method and Quantitative Research Method in Education Research
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(02):-
As two main research methods, qualitative study and quantitative study are different in theoretical basis, research methods, research goal, the relation between researchers and those who are studied as well as applied fields. They should be combined in education research, however, for education is a complicated humanism phenomenon.

Middle sized public hospitals are facing new challenges with the introduction of the new medical reform policies and the promotion of internet information economy. In order to adapt to the new social economy and policy, medium sized public hospitals should be reformed,be more active and find their own new position according to the new environment. The following work can be done to improve medium sized public hospitals' survival and development and to better meet the needs of the society:exploring their resources, building their regional medical associations, strengthening their construction of key disciplines, utilizing the advantages of internet and information system, and reforming their personnel divisions.

Analysis was made in 3 patients with central nervous system lymphoma(CNSL) with different manifestations;neuroradiological and immunocytological investigations were used to improve the clinical diagnosis of CNSL.Three patients with CNSL presented with 3 distinct profiles:diffuse meningeal invasion, intracranial masses of tumor and intramedullary spinal invasion. Both contrast enhanced CT and MR provided CNSL lesions in the brain parenchyma and meninges. It is suggested that combining CT,MR findings and immunological markers can improve clinical diagnosis of CNSL.

Objective To study a noninvasive determination of blood glucose concentration in human body. Methods Using FT-IR AIR technique, the relative intensity of~1123cm 1 bands was compared with the determinating results of blood glucose with a instant blood glucose instrument. Results The relative intensity change of ~1123cm 1 bands in mid-infrared spectra of middle finger, was in accordance with the variation of blood glucose concentration in human body, and its relative intensity was significantly related to the blood glucose concentration in human body.(R=0.83485. To explore the associations between the presence of bacteria and virus in the nasopharyngeal secretions, and wheezing, condition and hospitalization period in infants with community acquired pneumonia. Methods Clinical data, inclu-ding detection of bacteria and viruses, conditions and hospitalization period, of 1106 hospitalized infants with community ac-quired pneumonia from March 2009 to February 2010 were retrospectively analyzed. The infants were classiifed into wheezing (697 cases) and non-wheezing (409 cases) groups. Results Viruses were detected in 540 infants (48.8%), and the total detection rate of viruses and detection rate of respiratory syncytial virus in wheezing group were signiifcantly higher than those of non-wheezing group (P=0.000). Bacteria were detected in 590 cases (53.3%) and no signiifcance was found between two groups (P=0.821). The detection rate of Streptococcus pneumonia was higher in wheezing group than that of non-wheezing group (P=0.038). Comparing to the infants detected with both viruses and bacteria, no signiifcances were found in the occurrence of severe pneumonia and hos-pitalization period in those infants detected with viruses only (P>0.05), as well as in the wheezing time of period (P>0.05). Con-clusions Wheezing in infants with community acquired pneumonia is related to the infection of viruses, especially to respiratory syncytial viruses. Virus infection accompanying bacterial infection has no impact on duration of hospitalization and wheezing. The infection of Streptococcus pneumonia may relate to wheezing in infants.

OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the prognosis-related influence factors of the residual symptoms after the canalith repositioning procedure (CRP) for the benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) in the second affiliated hospital of dalian medical university.
METHOD:
Among patients who were diagnosed with BPPV and treated by CRP, the one that still show residual symptoms were enrolled in our study, then make a follow-up irregularly about the tendency of their residual symptoms' self-healing,and respectively record in their gender, age and chronic diseases and so on. Single-factor analysis and multi-factors analysis was utilized to investigate the residual symptoms' related influencing factors.
RESULT:
In this study, 149 cases of patients were in record, for the residual symptoms, 71 patients can go to self-healing, 78 patients can not; age is 23-88, 30 cases in the young group, 46 cases in the middle aged group, 47 cases in the young elderly group, 26 cases in the elderly group; patients suffering from high blood pressure are 76 cases, 76 cases had diabetes, 47 cases had hyperlipidemia, 110 cases had heart disease, 43 cases had ischemic encephalopathy.
CONCLUSION
The residual symptoms in the elderly females patients and patients suffering from the hypertension, diabetes, heart disease patients and ischemic encephalopathy are not easy to heal by itself, in which, the older and the fact suffering from the hypertension and diabetes are the risk factors influencing the prognosis of the residual symptoms.

Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(04):-
Objective To observe the toxic reaction caused by short time contact with some common disinfectants such as 0.2% sodium hypochlorite,2%acetic acid and 2% glutaraldehyde and0.2%acetic acid, through wounded skin of laboratory animals and laborers. Methods Toxicity experiments of these disinfectants by artificial skin wound were carried on in guinea pigs, and the poisoning performance and the death situation of guinea pigs were observed. Results Light edema was caused by using 2% acetic acid, and the symptom disappeared after 3 days;it appeared the symptom of red bump and hemorrhagic spots after use 2% glutaraldehyde, and ecdysis occured after 4days,the red bump disappeared after 5 days with a brownish discoloration left;it didn't appear any toxic reaction by using 0.2% sodium hypochlorite and 0.2%acetic acid. Conclusion There was toxic effect of 2% acetic acid and 2% glutaraldehyde to animals and laborers.

Objective To analyse the clinic characteristics of adenovirus pneumonia in children and have a good understanding of the clinical features of adenovirus pneumonia in children .Methods The clinical data of 99 cases with adenovirus pneumonia during January 2011 to June 2013 were reviewed .Clinical manifestation ,auxiliary examination and treatment were analyzed .Results All 99 patients had fever ,heat process was long and were prone to complications ,including :35 cases of respiratory failure ,27 cases of pleu-ral effusion ,11 cases of atelectasis and 52 cases of myocardial damage .Adenovirus pneumonia was easily combined with other path-ogenic infections .Streptococcus pneumoniae was the most common bacterial pathogens and respiratory viruses were the most com-mon virus .The radiographic features of chest of adenovirus pneumonia were in both lungs exudative ,and really variable .Adenovirus pneumonia in bronchoscopy showed bronchial inflammation .Treatment of adenovirus pneumonia was the comprehensive treatment . Conclusion The condition of adenovirus pneumonia is serious and the number of complications is large .Adenovirus pneumonia could easily cause secondary bacterial infection .There is no specific treatment for adenovirus pneumonia .Clinicians should pay more attention .
