Objective To explore the role of CD 30 on CD4 + T lymphocyte and T lymphocyte subset activation in asthma pathogenesis.Methods Twenty seven asthma active attack patients,16 acute upper respiratory infection patients and 19 control children were randomly selected. Direct immunofluorescence flow cytometry was used to detect the CD 30 positive percentage on CD4 +cell; ELISA was used to detect the levels of interleukin(IL) 4 and IL 13 in culture supernatants of peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) and plasma total immunoglobulin E(IgE) level.Results Compared with control group and acute upper respiratory infection group, in asthmatic children the CD4 +CD 30 + percentage on CD4 + cell was elevated significantly; 2.The levels of IL 4 and IL 13 in supernatants of cultured lymphocyte were increased significantly, the plasma total IgE level was increased significantly;3.There was a significant positive correlation of CD4 +CD 30 + cell percentage with the levels of IL 4 and IL 13 in culture supernatants and plasma total IgE.Conclusions The cell that could produce Th2 derived cytokine may consist of CD 30 +cell;When CD 30 L combined with CD 30 on CD4 + cells ,it might result in Th2 cell proliferation ,develop and release Th2 derived cytokine; IL 4 and IL 13 could induce B cell production and secrete more IgE. It is suggested that CD 30 and imbalance of Th2 subset may play an important role in asthma pathogenesis.

OBJECTIVETo verify the pharmacological hypothesis of prescriptions by studying the targeted distribution of major components in stewed rhubarb in the rat model with acute pancreatitis (AP).

METHODNormal SD rats (control group, n = 5) and the AP model induced with intraperitoneal cerulein (model group, n = 5) were taken as the experimental objects. Rats of the two groups were orally administered with stewed rhubarb granules (20 g x kg(-1)). Their heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney and pancreas were collected two hours after the administration. Such constituents as emodin, chrysophanol, physcion, rhein and aloe-emodin and their concentrations in each tissue homogenate were detected by high performance liquid chromatography-mass-mass.

RESULTAloe-emodin and physcion in stewed rhubarb whose concentrations in liver and kidney of normal rats were higher than that in pancreatic tissues, while the distribution spectrums and concentrations of the remaining components in pancreatic tissues had no significant difference with that of other organs. The concentrations of emodin, aloe-emodin, rhein and chrysophanol in stewed rhubarb in pancreatic tissues of the AP model group were higher than that in other tissues and organs, while their concentrations in pancreatic, renal and splenic tissues were notably higher than that in the normal group.

CONCLUSIONIn the conditions of AP, effective components in stewed rhubarb show a targeted distribution feature in pancreas, which provides experimental basis for the pharmacological hypothesis of prescriptions.

Objective To understand the situation of medical students' social adaptability and analyze its relationship with their family upbringing style.Methods A cross-sectional study was adopted,and the random sampling method was used to selected medical students as targeted population in a medical university in Jilin City.Parenting Style Assessment Scale and Social Adaptation Diagnostic Scale were applied to know the family rearing styles and social adaptability status of medical college students.Results Among the 198 responders,the proportion of good and strong social adaptability among medical college studies accounted for only 8.1％ (16) and 2.0％ (4);The social adaptation ability of the urban students and the only child students was higher than that of the rural and non only child students (P＜0.05);In parental rearing pattems,regardless of sex,whether students were the only child and where their census register was,emotional warmth and understanding were all positively correlated with medical students' social adaptation ability (P＜0.05),while refusal and denial were negatively correlated with medical students' social adaptation ability (P＜0.05);In addition,the punishment,severe over protection and other parenting styles also showed a certain degree of negative correlation with social adaptability(P＜0.05).Conclusion The social adaptability of medical students is poor,and their parenting styles was correlated with their social adaptation ability.Parents should give their children warmth and understanding,rather than rejection,denial,punishment,and overprotection,which will help to improve medical students' social adaptability.

OBJECTIVETo discuss arthroscopic technique of single Kirschner wire and suture avoiding epiphyseal line fixation for tibial intercondylar eminence fracture and its clinical results.

METHODSFrom May 2008 to December 2012, 21 patients (13 males, 8 females, ranging in age from 6 to 14 years old) with tibial intercondylar eminence fracture were treated arthroscopically with single Kirschner wire and suture avoiding epiphyseal line fixation technique. According to Meyers and McKeever classification, 7 patients were type II, 10 patients were type III, and 4 patients were type IV. Active rehabilitation began at one week after operation. The patients were followed up for 10 to 30 months. X-ray films were taken to evaluate fracture healing at 1, 3, 6 months after operation; range of motion, the anterior drawer test, the lachman test and the Lysholm knee score were used to evaluate clinical effects.

RESULTSAll fractures were healed without displacement at 6 weeks after operation. Anterior drawer test and the lachman test were both negative in all patients at 3 months after operation. Lysholm knee score was 95.5 ±2.5 at 6 months after operation, and postoperative X-ray film did not find epiphyseal line broadening or narrowing.

CONCLUSIONArthroscopic treatment for tibial eminence intercondylar fracture with single Kirschner wire and 8-shaped suture avoiding epiphyseal line fixation technique has many advantages, such as firm fixation,early mobilization, less invasive, less injury of physis and satisfactory effect.

Objective To study and analyze the risk factors in children with type 1 diabetes and formulate preventive health measures. Methods A total of 112 children with type 1 diabetes treated in our hospital from January 2017 to October 2019 were selected as the type 1 diabetes group, and 50 healthy children who underwent physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group. Multifactor logistic regression analysis was used to analyze predisposing factors of type 1 diabetes in children, and preventive health measures was proposed. Results The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that maternal age, passive smoking during pregnancy, milk feeding time, and children's respiratory infections were independent risk factors for children with type 1 diabetes (OR: 6404, 6.903, 6.417, 8.256, P <0.05). Conclusion Maternal age, passive smoking during pregnancy, milk addition time, and children's respiratory infections were independent risk factors for children with type 1 diabetes. Strengthening health education, breastfeeding as soon as possible, and preventing respiratory infections can help reduce the incidence of children with type 1 diabetes.

Objective To discuss the semilateral supine position for retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy. Methods From Jan. 2006 to Dec. 2008, 36 patients (20 males and 16 females with mean age of 43 years) underwent retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy in 60° -70° semilateral supine position. There were adrenal cortex adenomas in 18 cases, pheochromocytoma in 6 cases, adrenal cysts in 3 cases, myelolipoma in 2 cases, gangliocytoma in 1 case, lymphangioma in 1 case, metastatic tumor in 1 case and corticohyporplasia in 4 cases. The mean diameter of the tumors was 2.6 cm( 0.5 - 7.7 cm ). The tumors were superior to the renal pole in 5 cases, anteromedial in 10 cases and superomedial in 17 cases. The three ports that were usually used in lateral position and were placed anteriorly to create retroperitoneal place: the first port was placed 2 -4 cm superior to the iliac crest along the anterior axillary line, the other two were placed just below the costal margin along the midaxillary line and at the same level along the midclavicular line, and dissected along the anterior surface of kidney to its superomedial aspect, so as to avoid the hampering of the kidney in the exposing of the diseased adrenal gland. Results The procedure was completed successfully in all of the cases with the operating time of 37 - 145 min ( mean 69 min) and intraoperative blood loss of 30 - 100 ml (mean 48 ml). Six cases had rupture of peritoneum, which were sutured and the procedure was continued to completion. The postoperative hospital stay was 3 -8 d (mean 5 d ). Thirty-five patients were available for follow-up of 3 - 28 months ( mean 14 months). The case of metastatic tumor died of the primary diseases in the 12th month postoperatively. No other complication was found. Conclusion With this alternative position and ports' location, the procedure of retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy could be easier and safer than the conventional position.

Weightlessness environment can lead to the muscle atrophy and body fluid distribution upward,which can cause the bone calcium metabolism disorder and always accompanied by the loss of bone microstructure and increased rate of bone fracture. Under microgravity,the astronauts are much easier to decrease the Ca2+ ion in bone, which can cause serious osteoporosis. However the bone lost is not equilibrium, it is especially serious in the mechanism loading bone and the recovery process is more difficult. These are very different from the osteoporosis in older people and postmenopausal osteoporosis. It is necessary to find an optimal method to due with it. In traditional Chinese medicine theory,the kidney stores "Jing" and dominates the bone, thus a lot of bone related diseases can be treated through the kidney. A lot of clinical practices have also proved that the Chinese herbs used under the guidance of basic Chinese medicine theory are always good at the treatment of common osteoporosis. In simulated weightlessness experiment, people found that the kidney nourishment drugs do can prevent the decrease of BMD. So in this article we want to review the causes of weightlessness and the potentials applications of tradition Chinese medicine in the treatment of weightlessness osteoporosis.

Objective To observe the protective effects of a mixture for protecting liver and supplementing stomach (保肝益胃合剂) on rat acute liver damage induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl_4). Methods The model of rat acute liver damage was established by injection of CCl_4 2 ml/kg into the abdominal cavity.The rat models were treated respectively by the mixture for protecting liver and supplementing stomach 30 g?kg~(-1)?d~(-1),the polyene phosphatide acid radical choline capsule [Yi Shanfu (易善复), 180 mg?kg~(-1)?d~(-1)],the glycyrrhizic acid diaminogen capsule [Gan Lixin (甘利欣),30 mg?kg~(-1)?d~(-1)] infused into the stomach.The activities of serum alanine transaminase (ALT) and aspartate transaminase (AST) were detected.In the mean time,the liver pathological changes were observed,the degree of liver cell necrosis was evaluated,and the rat mortality was noted in various groups of treatment.Results The values of ALT,AST and the score of liver cell necrosis in the group treated with the mixture for protecting liver and supplementing stomach [(1.168?1.066) kU/L,(1.845?2.212) kU/L,(0.56?0.53) score] were significantly lower than those in the model group [(4.982?3.502) kU/L,(7.030?3.616) kU/L, (1.38?0.92) scores],and all the differences being statistically significant (all P

OBJECTIVETo analyze protein changes in the lung of Wistar rats exposed to gaseous formaldehyde (FA) at 32-37 mg/m3 for 4 h/day for 15 days using proteomics technique.

METHODSLung samples were solubilized and separated by two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE), and gel patterns were scanned and analyzed for detection of differently expressed protein spots. These protein spots were identified by MALDI-TOF-MS and NCBInr protein database searching.

RESULTSFour proteins were altered significantly in 32-37 mg/m3 FA group, with 3 proteins up-regulated, 1 protein down-regulated. The 4 proteins were identified as aldose reductase, LIM protein, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, and chloride intracellular channel 3.

CONCLUSIONThe four proteins are related to cell proliferation induced by FA and defense reaction of anti-oxidation. Proteomics is a powerful tool in research of environmental health, and has prospects in search for protein markers for disease diagnosis and monitoring.
