1.Serum soluble IL-2 receptor level in patients with leukemia
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(05):-
Serum soluble IL- 2 receptor (sIL-2R) level of 34 patients with leukemia were measured by ELISA. The sIL- 2 R levels are 296?99u /ml in normal, 660 ?449u /ml in AML, 1323 ?755 u/m in ALL, 1577 ? 759 u /ml in AMML and 1815 ? 858 u /ml in NHL. 5 of 6 patients with 2000u /ml sIL- 2 R died in one month after detection of sIL-2R. There is no apparent relationship between sII -2 R level and mononuclear cells count in peripheral blood. The results suggest that it is possible to be a new parameter for the observation and prognosis estimation to patients with leukemia by detection of sIL-2R.

Objective To observe and evaluate the effect of ultrasound guided percutaneous ethanol injection for hyperparathyroidism secondary to chronic renal failure. Methods Fifty-three patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism in Nanjing General Hospital Military Command from January 2011 to May 2013 were treated by percutaneous ethanol injection. The echogenicity, size and blood supply of parathyroid glands were observed by color Doppler ultrasound before and after treatment. Parathyroid hormone (PTH) and volumes of parathyroid glands were analyzed and compared with non-paired t test. Results Before treatment, the parathyroid gland volume was (5.28±0.84) cm3. The enlarged parathyroid glands had homogeneous hypoechogenicity and abundant blood supply, and the PTH was (1041.6±37.1) ng/L. After treatment, the size of solitary parathyroid gland was (3.93±0.67) cm3 which did not change significantly compared with that before treatment. The echogenicity of parathyroid glands enhanced and blood supply decreased after injection ethanol into solitary parathyroid. PTH [(509.2±27.6) ng/L] decreased obviously (t=3.792, P < 0.05). Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound guided percutaneous injection of ethanol has an important role in the treating of secondary hyperparathyroidism and the curative effect can be observed timely.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the efficacy and safety of Sirolimus (SRL) in immunosuppression following liver transplantation. Methods SRL was applied in 21 patients totally.Indication for adoption was Tac-related nephrotoxicity (4/21), suspiciously Tac-related hepatoxicity (8/21), Tac overdose (3/21), renal insufficiency pre-operation (2/21), or cancer (4/21). Median follow-up was 25. 4 months. Results SRL provided an adequate prophylaxis against rejection in all study patients, with one case of acute rejection. Sirolimus was Withdrawn in 2 cases due to its sideeffect. Tat-induced hepatoxicity in 6 cases and nephrotoxicity in 3 cases were relieved significantly. Conclusions SRL given alone appears to be an effective primary immunosuppressant regimen fororthotopic liver transplantation patients. Early conversion contributes to significant improvement of Tac-related hepatoxicity and nephrotoxicity.

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2017;26(7):400-404
Objective To investigate the effect of traumatic lumbar puncture (TLP) on central nervous system leukemia (CNSL) in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the related factors of TLP. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed from the medical records of 106 children with ALL who were diagnosed and treated from January 2010 to December 2014. The factors affecting the occurrence of TLP and the effect of TLP on the prognosis of children with ALL were analyzed. Results A total of 106 patients were treated for ALL during the study period, of which 21 cases (19.8 %) experienced TLP, median platelet count in 85 patients (80.2%) without TLP and in 21 patients with TLP was (72.50 ± 69.53) × 109/L and (31.10 ± 19.82) × 109/L (t= 2.69, P= 0.008). A receiver operating characteristic curve was constructed for predicting the risk of TLP based on platelet count. Platelet count of 34 ×109/L at the time of TLP had a sensitivity of 76%and specificity of 66%in predicting TLP. According to cerebrospinal fluid type, 1 case (4.8%) of TLP type had CNSL, and 2 cases (2.9%) of CNS1 type had CNSL (P>0.05). The 3-year event-free survival (EFS) rate in TLP group and CNS1 group had no significant difference [(82.8 ± 4.8) % vs. (74.7 ± 9.9)%, P>0.05]. Conclusions In the diagnostic lumbar puncture, platelet count<34 × 109/L is significantly associated with risk of TLP. TLP type does not contribute to inferior EFS and increase the incidence of CNSL.
10. Economic evaluation of novel direct-acting antivirals in the treatment of chronic hepatitis c virus genotype 1b in china based on markov model
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2019;54(15):1276-1284
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of combinations of different direct-acting antivirals(DAAs) for treatment-naive patients infected with chronic hepatitis C virus genotype 1b in China, which would provide pharmacoeconomic evidence for relevant health care decisions. METHODS: A Markov model was constructed based on the natural history of chronic hepatitis C to evaluate the quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) and direct medical costs for noncirrhotic patients and compensated cirrhotic patients from the payer perspective, and to further calculate incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) of different regimens. Lifetime horizon(100 years of age) and one year cycle length were adopted. A 5% discount rate was applied to both QALYs and costs. One-way sensitivity analysis and probabilistic sensitivity analysis were performed. RESULTS: Base-case analysis showed that six DAAs regimens not only gained QALYs but also reduced medical costs compared with no treatment and PR regimen. Among all the DAAs regimens, the combination of paritaprevir/ombitasvir/ritonavir+dasabuvir± ribavirin (POR+DAS±RBV) was the most cost-effective alternative for all the target population. The findings from the base-case analysis were confirmed by the sensitivity analyses. CONCLUSION: Among all the regimens, the combination of POR+DAS±RBV is the economically dominant regimen in the treatment of treatment-naive patients infected with chronic hepatitis C virus genotype 1b in China.
