China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(22):4384-4388
Licorice seedlings were taken as experimental materials, an experiment was conducted to study the effects of exogenous sucrose on growth and active ingredient content of licorice seedlings under NaCl stress conditions. The results of this study showed that under salt stress conditions, after adding a certain concentration of exogenous sucrose, the licorice seedlings day of relative growth rate was increasing, and this stress can be a significant weakening effect, indicating that exogenous sucrose salt stress-relieving effect. The total flavonoids and phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) activity were significantly increased, the exogenous sucrose can mitigated the seedling roots under salt stress, the licorice flavonoid content in the enhanced growth was largely due to the activity of PAL an increased, when the concentration of exogenous sucrose wae 10 mmol x L(-1), PAL activity reaching a maximum, when the concentration of exogenous sucrose was 15 mmol x L(-1), PAL activity turned into a downward trend, the results indicating that this mitigation has concentration effect. After applying different concentrations of exogenous sugar, the contents of liquiritin changes with the change of flavonoids content was similar. After applying different concentrations of exogenous sucrose, the content of licorice acid under salt stress was higher than the levels were not reached during salt stress, the impact of exogenous sucrose concentration gradient of licorice acid accumulation was not obvious.

Objective To investigate the effect of pancreatic kininogenase on the expression of matrix metalloproteinases-2 2(MMP-2), transfer growth factor-?_ 1 (TGF-?_ 1 ) and ventriculer remodeling in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). Methods Twenty-four male 15 weeks SHR were randomly divided into three groups: SHR group, pancreatic kininogenase treatment group(PK: 7.2 U/kg?d), captopril treatment group(Cap: 10 mg/kg?d)(n=8 in each), 8 Wister Kyoto were served as control. After four weeks, blood pressure were measured througth carotid artery catherization. Myocardial tissue was stained with VG and pathological changes were studied. MMP-2, TGF-?_ 1 were determined by immunohisto-chemical technique(SP method). Results In pancreatic kininogenase treated SHR, SBP(183?12 vs SHR: 234?23)mm Hg, LVMI(2.89?0.15 vs SHR: 3.06?0.18)mg/g, CVF(0.17?0.03 vs SHR: 0.26?0.05)%, PVCA(0.57?0.26 vs SHR: 0.99?0.47)% and expression of MMP-2, TGF-?_ 1 in SHR were significantly improved (P

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 1993;0(03):-
Objective To compare the characteristics of coronary artery lesions and ventricular systolic, diastolic and synchronous function of non-ST-segment elevation (NSTEMI) with those of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in Chinese. Methods One hundred and sixty-eight consecutive patients with NSTEMI 116 and STEMI 52 were enrolled into this study. Coronary angiography (CAG) was performed within 72 hours in all patients, while the parameters of left ventricular function were measured by equilibrium radionuclide angiography (ERNA) with ventricular phase analysis (PA) within 1 week after acute myocardial infarction. Results (1) The incidences of patients associated with diabetes and old myocardial infarction in NSTEMI group were higher than those in STEMI group (30.77% vs 10.34%; 34.62% P

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Yishen Zhongzi Pill (YZP) on the sperm motility of Shen-essence deficiency syndrome (SEDS) patients.
METHODSTotally 144 patients were randomly assigned to the treatment group (71 cases) and the control group (73 cases). Ten cases dropped out during the therapeutic course. A total of 134 patients completed this clinical study, 67 in each group. Patients in the treatment group took YZP (6 g each time, twice daily), while those in the control group took Wuzi Yanzong Pill (6 g each time, twice daily). The therapeutic course for all was one month. Changes of the sperm motility, clinical efficacy, and Chinese medical symptoms scores were observed between the two groups before and after treatment.
RESULTSCompared with before treatment in the same group, percentages of class a spermatozoa and class a + b spermatozoa were enhanced in the two groups after treatment (P <0. 01). Besides, they were higher in treatment group than in the control group (P <0. 05). The total effective rate of the treatment group was 77. 61 % (52/67 cases), while it was 58. 21 % (39/67 cases) in the control group. It was better in the treatment group than in the control group (Z= -2. 914, P =0. 004). Compared with before treatment in the same group, scores for Chinese medical symptoms decreased in the two groups (P <0. 01). The difference of pre-post integrals was higher in the treatment group than in the control group (P <0. 01).
CONCLUSIONYZP showed favorable effect in treating asthenospermia patients with SEDS and could effectively elevate the motility of sperm.

Objective To evaluate the efficiency and safety of hair removal with Lightsheer 800 nm diode laser. Methods Lightsheer, 800 nm diode laser, was used to remove hairs from different areas, including hairlines, lips, whiskers, armpit, chest, back, limbs and bikinis area, in 432 patients. Results At least twice treatments, the maximum 29 times, were needed to achieve satisfactory results. Total effective rate increased with the treatment times but depended on the different area:63.4 % of hairlines, 67.7 % of lips, 71.9 % of whiskers, 100 % of armpit, 100 % of chest, 100 %of back, 82.6 % of limbs and 100 % of bikinis area, respectively. The adverse effect was observed with temporal hypopigmentation in 4 patients and hyperpigmentation in 9 patients, without any scar formation. Conclusions Lightsheer 800 nm diode laser is a safe and efficient method of laser hair removal.

Objective To study the influence of sivelestat sodium on platelets activity, injury and count during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB)in dogs. Methods Twelve adult health dogs were randomly divided into control group (group C,n=6)and sivelestat sodium group (group S,n=6). Sivelestat sodium at 15 mg/kg was administrated intravenously before the establishment of CPB and then was maintained intravenously at 10 mg·kg-1·h-1 to the end of CPB in the group S,and the same volume of saline was used in the group S.The levels of neutrophil elastase (NE),malondialdehyde (MDA),granular membrane protein-140 (GMP-140),thromboxaneB2 (TXB2 ),the count of plate-lets and the hematocrit (Hct)were measured before CPB,15 and 45 min after cross-clamping and 30, and 60 min after aortic unclamping in both groups. Results The levels of NE,GMP-140,TXB2 at T2-T5 and MDA at T3-T5 were significantly higher than those at T1 in both groups;moreover the lev-els were significantly lower in group S than group C (P<0.05).The levels of Plt at T2-T5 were sig-nificantly lower than those at T1 in both groups;moreover the levels were significantly higher in group S than group C (P <0.05).Conclusion Sivelestat sodium reduced the levels of plasma NE, MDA,GMP-140,TXB2 inhibited the activation of Plt,and decreased the injury and consumption of Plt,which presents the protective effects for Plt during CPB.

Object To observe the effect of tetrandrine (Tet) on the activity of cholinesterase (ChE) inhibited by organophosphate. Methods Activity of ChE in human blood was determined with Ellman's method and used as an index. Results The cumulative dose effect curves for inhibitory effect of dipterex on ChE were shifted to right and the maximal inhibitory effect of dipterex was obviously declined by Tet. The maximal reactivating rates of inhibited ChE were 20.5%, 38.3% and 80.2% when the concentrations of Tet were 0.4, 0.8 and 1.6 ?g/mL (P
