Objective To explore the safety and effectiveness of transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) for large benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods A total of 56 cases of patients with large benign prostatic hyperplasia were analyzed retrospectively. Results The weight of prostate tissue resected with TURP was 60.2 g (48-122 g).The resection rate was 60%,operation time 113.4 min (70-180 min). The lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) after TURP was improved significantly. The international prostate symptom scores (IPSS) of 38 cases were decreased from (25.6±1.5) before operation to (6.0± 2.0) after operation. The maximum urine flow rate were increased from (5.0±1.9) ml/s to (18.0±4.5) ml/s.The mean residual urine volume of 22 cases were reduced from 95 ml (40-250 ml) to 10 ml (0-60 ml). Conclusions Skilled TURP technology for large benign prostatic hyperplasia is a safe treatment with good effect and low complications rates.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2005;13(6):921-923
Evidence has indicated that low doses of anti-tumor regimens can induce cell apoptosis in vitro, although different regimens induce apoptosis by different mechanism and pathway. In recent years, new tumor treatment strategy has been mainly focused on inducing tumor cell apoptosis. The present review discusses the advantages and disadvantages of inducing tumor cell apoptosis. The benefit of inducing apoptosis is not to cause inflammatory reaction, but as its disadvantage, it inhibits immune responses, and the phagocytosis of apopotic bodies may result in horizontal transfer of genes (including oncogenes and other oncogenic materials), which can be one of the causes of tumor relapse. This paper proposes that the tumor treatment strategy should be turn into promoting tumor cell necrosis and inducing anti-tumor immune responses.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2018;32(4):307-307
OBJECTIVE Xingnaojing injection(XNJ)is an extracts of Angong Niuhuang Pill that is a well-known traditional Chinese medicine used for the treatment of septicemia and stroke. This study aims to investigate the effect of XNJ on intestinal mucosal barrier in septicemia and intracerebral hem-orrhage(ICH)mice models.METHODS The septicemia mice models were induced by intravenous in-jection with lipopolysaccharide(20 mg·kg-1).And the ICH mice models were made by intrastriatal injec-tion of bacterial collagenase. The septicemia animals were treated intravenously with XNJ at dose of 2.5,5,10,or 15 mL·kg-1.The ICH animals were treated intravenously with XNJ at dose of 10 mL·kg-1. Thereafter, the permeability of intestinal mucosa was assayed by FITC-D method. RESULTS Com-pared with the control group(44.72±4.30),the permeability of intestinal mucosa in the mice in septice-mia group (233.68±28.18) was significantly increased (P<0.01). Treatment with XNJ at dose of 5, 10, and 15 mL·kg-1reduced the permeability of intestinal mucosa (150.45 ± 17.52,139.21 ± 17.05,132.55 ± 18.88,respectively, P<0.01)except 2.5mL·kg-1(240.71±21.42,P>0.01);Compared with sham group (57.88±7.31),the permeability of intestinal mucosa in the mice of ICH(282.25±23.78)was significantly in-creased(P<0.01). Treatment with XNJ (10 mL·kg-1)in the mice of ICH group ameliorated the change of permeability in intestinal mucosa (148.83±15.86, P<0.01). CONCLUSION XNJ exhibits the protec-tive effect on the intestinal mucosal barrier in septicemia and ICH, which will prevent the endotoxin to penetrate the intestinal mucosa and then to enter the circulation in infections and stress.

Health management plays an important role in the control of medical costs and in maintaining people' s health.Since the beginning of health management performance in our country, the major problems were:inadequacy of govement's support;imperfect laws;irregular marketing operation;lack of feasible health management model;controversy over long-term economic benefits;lack of awareness on health in common people and so on.To solve these problems,it is necessary to strengthen government support, and enhance people's health awareness, and explore the health management model consistent with the actual situation in China.

Objective To investigate the effects of exercising on a cycle ergometer on lower limb motor function and the walking ability of hemiplegic stroke patients.MethodsSixty hemiplegic stroke patients were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group with 30 in each. Both groups were treated with routine rehabilitation, but the treatment group also undertook cycle ergometer training. The training lasted for 10-20 min/d, 6 d/week for 6 weeks. All patients were assessed with the Fugl-Meyer lower limb assessment ( FMA), functional ambulation category (FAC) classification and the modified Barthel index (MBI) pretreatment and 6 weeks post treatment.ResultsBefore intervention there was no significant difference between the two groups in any of the assessments. Six weeks post treatment, the average FMA, FCA classification and MBI results in the treatment group were significantly better than those pretreatment and better than those in the control group.ConclusionsCycling exercise combined with routine rehabilitation training can distinctly improve the motor function of the lower limbs and the walking ability of hemiplegic stroke patients.

The aim of this study is to construct specific shRNA expressing plasmids, and to observe their effects on H9c2 cardiomyocytes injury induced by hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R). RIPK1 and RIPK3 are the key kinases mediating the process of necroptosis. Using recombinant DNA technology, we inserted the synthetic shRNA into pSUPER vector to construct RIPK1-shRNA or RIPK3-shRNA plasmid respectively. We transfected H9c2 cardiomyocytes with the two shRNA plasmids respectively, before we treated them with H/R stimulation. Then, we measured the relevant genes and proteins by real-time PCR and Western blot. Meanwhile,we detected the markers of necroptosis and cardiomyocytes injury. The results showed that inhibition of ripk1 or ripk3 gene expression by its specific shRNA might protect the cardiomyocytes injury induced by H/R stimulation.

Objective To explore the value of an advanced reciprocating gait orthosis (ARGO) combined with comprehensive rehabilitation treatment in rehabliltating complete spinal cord injury (SCI) patients. Methods Twelve patients with complete SCI at the T4~L2 level were fitted with an ARGO. Before and after fitting the ARGO,comprehensive rehabilitative excecises were conducted. After training, ambulation was evaluated, and competence in the activities of daily living was evaluated using the Barthel index and Functional Independence Measure. Results The patients' ambulation improved markedly after fitting the ARGO and training. Barthel index and FIM scres improved significantly. All 12 patients achieved therapeutic or functional ambulation. Conclusion With the aid of an ARGO, patients suffering from complete SCI below the T4 level can achieve functional walking and improve their quality of life.
