The aim of the study is to provide an ideal animal model for the research in the field of molecular pathogenesis and experimental treatment of gastric carcinoma. By the microsurgical technique, 47 human gastric carcinoma specimens were orthotopically transplanted into the gastric mucosal layer in nude mice. Its oncogenicity, invasion, metastasis and morphologic characteristics were observed and the expression of oncogene P53, c erbB 2 and raSP 21 were assessed. Three models of human gastric carcinoma, were adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, squamous adenocarcinoma were screened from 47 cases of patients. The oncogene proteins were positively expressed and related to the growth pattern, depth of invasion and lymph node metastasis. Its ultrastructural characteristic was similar to the human original gastric cancer cells. These models are suitable and helpful for the research of the molecular pathogenesis, invasion, metastasis and experimental treatment of gastric carcinoma.

Objective To explore the effect of hyperbaric oxygen combined with acupuncture and moxibustion on traumatic peripheral facial nerve injury, and the results of electromyography. Methods From January, 2007 to January, 2013, a total of 160 patients with traumat-ic peripheral facial nerve injury were divided into treatment group (n=80) and control group (n=80). Both groups received routine drug treat-ment. Hyperbaric oxygen combined with acupuncture and moxibustion was applied to treatment group in addition. The clinical efficacy and the results of electromyography were analyzed before and 36 days after treatment. Results After treatment, the cure rate and total efficiency was significantly higher (χ2>7.657, P<0.001), the motor latency of facial nerve was shorter (t>2.214, P<0.05), the M wave amplitude of fa-cial nerve was significantly higher (t>3.116, P<0.01), the number of recruitment potential was more (χ2=9.76, P<0.05), and the motor unit potential voltage was significantly higher (t>5.45, P<0.001) in the treatment group than in the control group. Conclusion Hyperbaric oxy-gen combined with acupuncture and moxibustion is more effective on traumatic peripheral facial nerve injury than routine.

Chinese Journal of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases 1987;0(03):-
The hypnozoites of different isolates of P. vivax from Shenzhen and Shixin, Guangdong Province, Changsha, Hunan Province and Yincheng, Hubei Province of China in cultured materials were observed employing immunoperoxidase staining method. The percentages of hypnozoites among exoerythrocytic stages were 40.1, 43. 5, 50. 6 and 57. 1 %, respectively, indicating that the percentage of hypnozoites and the latitude are in positive correlation. The equation is y= - 6. 68+ 2. 05x. When the dlfference in latitude of Plasmodium vivax isolate source was more than 5?, a significant difference in the percentage of hypnozoites in various geographic isolates was found. However, the average diameters of hypnozoites and schizonts among various geographic isolates showed no significant difference. The results showed that ln the regions north to the Yangtze Rlver, the proportion of hypnozoite in the liver stage of P.vivax was larger than those in the southern China, being consistent with the clinical manifestations.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(22):-
Objective To study the dynamic changes of transendothelial electrical resistance (TEER) on our in vitro model of brain blood barrier (BBB) made from primary culture of BALB/c mouse brain microvascular endothelial cells (BMVEC), and to explore the relation between TEER and BBB permeability, and search for the best culture condition. Methods BMVEC were isolated from BALB/c mouse and cultured on a transwell insert with special micro-pore. The cells were identified with immunohistochemical methods and electron microscope. TEER over BMVEC was measured after BBB model establishment for determining the 3H-Glucose permeability of BBB in vitro. Results BMVEC cultured in the transwell insert exhibited typical "flagstone" appearance and in a tight monolayer structure under electron microscope. Immunohistochemical detection of ZO-1 protein, a marker antigen of tight junction, showed smooth, continuous and tight junctions between confluent BMVEC. TEER over BMVEC monolayer increased to (346?10) ?/cm2 when the permeability for 3H-Glucose was decreased to the minimum. Conclusion BBB model in vitro made from primary culture of BMVEC in transwell has the basic characteristics of BBB in morphology, electrical resistance and permeability.
