Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2002;0(01):-
Objective To study on diagnosis and treatment of brain type fat embolism syndrome complicated with fracture. Method The diagnosis and treatment of 7 cases of brain type fat embolism syndrome complicated with fracture were reviewed. All of 7 cases did not have any brain injury, 3 cases were complicated with femural fracture, 3 cases with fractures of tibia and fibula, and 1 cases with limbs multi fracture. They presented somnolence or coma complicated with rise in temperature (37.7℃~39℃) ,increase in breath and heart rate, anemia, small bleeding spots at chest. It was discussed how to distinguish brain type fat embolism syndrome from brain injury. Synthetical measure was adopted mainly using dexamethasone (20~80mg/d). Results 7 cases of brain type fat embolism syndrome complicated with fracture were cured in 1~7 days. Conclusions Sudden somnolence or coma that does not result from brain injure after limb fracturees in early stage can be diagnosed as brain type fat embolism syndrome. A synthetical measure should be adopted by mainly using dexamethasone (40~80mg/d) .
2.Study on MRI features and its clinical histopathological characteristics of triple-negative breast cancer
Cancer Research and Clinic 2013;25(11):733-737
Objective To analyze triple receptor-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and non-triple receptor-negative breast cancer (non-TNBC),to determine the MR imaging characteristics of TNBC.Methods Data from two groups TNBC and non-TNBC patients were reviewed.Recorded the MRI features which involved the morphological features, kinetic lesion features and measured ADC values,As well as their clinical features and the pathological findings.Data were statistical analyzed in SPSS 17.0 software. Results There were significant difference between TNBC and non-TNBC in histological types, histologic grade, the situation of lymph metastases and mass shape, margin subgroup and lesion enhanced type, the ADC value (P < 0.05).The special histological types for TNBC were squamous carcinoma (metaplastic carcinomas),medullary carcinoma,basal-like carcinoma. The number of lymph node metastasis in the TNBC group was 78.9 % (15/19).Histologically,TNBC were mainly Ⅲ grade (89.4 %).In the group of TNBC,the percent of lobulated mass, margin smooth and rim enhancement was 52.6 %,36.8 %,42.1%,the higher ADC value of TNBC than non-TNBC.While there were no statistical significant differences in the age of onset, the maximum tumor diameter, the situation of menstruation, the situation of family history of breast cancer, the number of the mass, enhancement lesion type and the time-signal intensity curve type (P > 0.05).Conclusion Some MRI features combined clinical and histopathological characteristics would be helpful in the diagnosis of TNBC.

Objective To analyze the causes of peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) relat-ed infections, study the types of pathogens and their drug sensitivities in order to supply evidence for clini-cal medication. Methods 110 cancer patients were analyzed for PICC related infections and blood sam-pies underwent bacterial culture. Results Of 110 cases of cancer patients, catheter-related infections were found in 11 patients (10.00%), including 9 cases of local infection (8.18%), and 2 cases of hemato-ge-nous infection (1.82%). Catheter-related infections were not associated with gender, age, types of catheter, venous selection, and the inserted length of intravenous catheter. Catheter- related infections were likely to be associated with the indwelling time of catheters. Conclusions To avoid the infections related to long-term PICC, strict aseptic operation and standardized maintaining procedures are required.
