Journal of Korean Society of Pediatric Endocrinology 2005;10(1):110-114
The Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome is comprised of vaginal atresia with other variable Mullerian duct abnormalities. Its features include an absent or very short vagina and a uterus that can be absent or immaturely formed. Female with MRKH syndrome have functioning ovaries, normal external genitalia and the typical 46, XX, karyotype. MRKH syndrome is the second most common cause of primary amenorrhea, usually remains undetected until the patient presents with primary amenorrhea despite normal sexual female development. We report a case of MRKH syndrome, associated with ovarian follicular cyst, in a 14-years-old girl who visited for primary amenorrhea and sexual precosity.

Annals of Dermatology 1995;7(1):96-98
We report a pigmented follicular cyst (PFC) in a 40-year-old male manifestated clinically as pigmented nevus. Histopathologic findings revealed an infundibular cyst in the mid dermis containing a small amount of keratinous material. The cystic wall consisted of four or five layers of squamous epithelium with a granular layer with abundant keratohyaline granules and the cyst wall contained one hair follicle. It must be differentiated from other pigmented lesions of over-lying skin such as eruptive vellus hair cyst, apocrine hydrocystoma and melanocytic nevus coexistance of an epidermoid cyst. Surgical excision and histopathological examination are necessary for an accurate diagnosis in pigmented lesions.

Pigmented follicular cyst is a rare disorder which typically presents as a pigmented papule on the head or neck. Histologically, it exhibits terminally differentiated, pigmented hair shafts in an epidermoid cyst. It was described as a variant of epidermal cyst originating from the infundibular epidermis of pilosebaceous unit. We report a case of pigmented follicular cyst on the occipital scalp in a 7-year-old girl with typical histologic features.

A pigmented follicular cyst typically presents as an asymptomatic, solitary papule on head and neck in adult men. The histologic features of pigmented follicular cysts are cross-sectioned, terminally-differentiated hair shafts in an epidermal cyst. There are no sebaceous lobules or other appendages within the wall or in close proximity. We herein report a case of pigmented follicular cyst of the axilla in a 31-year-old man.

Journal of the Korean Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine 2013;17(4):326-333
On H1 MRS (magnetic resonance spectroscopy), malignant tumors show higher concentration of metabolite than benign lesions. Lactate double peak was detected in malignant tumor and endometriosis, and more prominent high concentration was demonstrated in endometriosis. Tuboovarian abscesses and salpingitis do not show prominent peak. Dermoid cysts show high levels of lipid peak. Paratubal cyst and follicular cyst can be showed the lipid peak, however, the concentration of lipid is lower than that of dermoid cyst. H1 MRS of ovarian cystic lesions can give valuable information about the presence of metabolites of ovarian cystic lesions.

Korean Journal of Gynecologic Oncology 2007;18(2):150-154
The Brenner tumors of the ovary are uncommon and constitute 1.5-2.5% of all ovarian neoplasms. And their malignant counterparts are rare. Although the first malignant Brenner tumor was described by Von Numers in 1945, only a few malignant Brenner tumors have been reported. The definition and its biologic behavior, and the optimal treatment has not been established. We present a patient who had total abdominal hysterectomy with unilateral salpingooophorectomy due to adenomyosis. The resected ovary had only follicular cysts and the remained ovary was grossly normal . Malignant Brenner tumor developed at the remained ovary 15 years after operation. Operation and adjuvant chemotherapy was applied and patient is alive without evidence of disease. We have experienced a case of malignant Brenner tumor developed at the remained ovary after contralateral oophorectomy with a brief review of literature.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 2009;47(7):835-837
Sebaceous trichofolliculoma is a rare benign tumor and represents a variant of trichofolliculoma. It presents as a centrally depressed solitary tumor and occurs in areas rich in sebaceous lobules. Microscopically, it shows keratin-filled cystic cavities and sebaceous lobules. The lobules are connected to the cystic wall. Herein we report a case of sebaceous trichofolliculoma on the right cheek in a 64-year-old man.

Pilar sheath acanthoma is a rare, benign follicular hamartoma that commonly affects middle aged and elderly patients. Clinically, solitary, asymptomatic, skin-colored nodules with a central pore-like opening are seen for more than one year. As a consequence of the histology, pilar sheath acanthoma should be differentiated from trichofolliculoma and dilated pore of Winer. We report here on a case of pilar sheath acanthomas that presented as asymptomatic solitary skin colored nodules on both cheeks.
