1.Yuanji huofa based Treatment of Splenic-gastric Diseases
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(07):-
In the several years, clinical practice,Professor LU Zhi-zheng has accumulated abundant experiences in the treatment of splenic-gastric diseases, and developed a unique treatment system of splenic-gastric diseases. Through the analysis of the recent cases dealt with by Professor LU Zhi-zheng,fi ve features of treatment are preliminarily summarized,i.e. combination of dryness and moisture, independence of increase and decrease upon each other,co-utilization of coldness and warmth, simultaneous application of reducing and nourishing therapies and co-treatment of splenic and gastric diseases, which fully embody the dialectical treating philosophy of Yuan-ji-huo-fa of Professor LU Zhi-zheng,and such treating method is of considerable guiding signifi cance for us to cure the splenic-gastric diseases and other diffi cult and complicated diseases by treating the splenic-gastric diseases.

Objective To observe the effect of Zhongfengkang on the expression of Aquaporin 4 mRNA(AQP-4mRNA) in brain of focal cerebral ischemia rats. Methods The rat model of focal cerebral ischemia was established by inserting nylon thread. The dynamic changes of AQP-4 mRNA expression in the model group at 12th,24th,48th,72nd and 96th hour after cerebral ischemia were examined and the effect of Zhongfengkang on AQP-4 mRNA expression and cerebral edema at 48 th hour after cerebral ischemia was observed. Results At 12th hour after cerebral ischemia, the expression of AQP-4mRNA in the model group increased compared with the sham-operation group, and it arrived to the peak at 72th hour(P

Objective To investigate the effect of Jiawei-Xiaoyao powder on the levels of somatotropin and vasoaetive intestinal peptide (VIP) in patients with non-erosive reflux disease (NERD).Methods Seventy patients with liver-stagnation and spleen-deficiency NERD who met the inclusion criteria were divided into two groups according to the random number table,35 in each group. The treatment group was orally administered with Jiawei-Xiaoyao powder, and the control group was given oral omeprazole enteric-coated tablets and domperidone. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.Plasma somatotropin and VIP levels were measured by ELISA.Results After treatment, plasma somatotropin levels (210.96 ± 16.85 pg/ml vs.195.75 ± 12.62 pg/ml,t=4.274) in the treatment group were significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.01),and plasma VIP level (16.12 ± 1.41 pg/ml vs.18.57 ± 2.68 pg/ml,t=4.786) in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.01).Conclusions The Jiawei-Xiaoyao powder could reduce plasma VIP level in NERD patients, increase plasma somatotropin levels of NERD.
