Objective: To investigate ketamine cardiotoxicity profile. Method:Four day-old spontaneously contracting neonatal primary myocardial cell cultures obtained from 2-to 3-day-old Wistar rats were divided into 4 groups, group A as control and group B,C and D treated with ketamine(1?10~(-5), 1?10~(-4)and 1?10~(-3)mol/L)for 2 to 24 h. The contractility, morphology, cytoplasmic enzyme (LDH, AST and CK) release content of myocardial cell and the concentration of electrolytes (k~+, Na~+, Ca~(2+) and Cl~-) in the medium were measured 2,4,8 and 24 h following ketamine administration. Result:In group B the beating rates of neonatal myocardial cell cultures increased (P

Objective To verify the detection performance of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c)by using the BIO-RAD D-10 high performance liquid chromatography method, and to evaluate whether the detection performance can satisfy the requirements of the laboratory and clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods The method of CLSI EP1 5A2 was used to verify the accuracy and preci-sion.The linear correlation and reference range were verified respectively by linear regression analysis and the method of the WS/T 402 2012.Results The calibration value of HbA1c calibrator level 1 was 5.3% and the validation limit of measured results was 1. 63%-8.78%.The calibration value of HbA1c calibrator Level 2 was 10.0%,and the validation limit of measured results was 4.76%-13.64%.Both calibration values were included in the 95% confidence range of measured values,so the accuracy verifica-tion passed.Laboratory variation coefficient (CV)for HbA1c with concentration of 5.24% was 1.01% and for 9.84% was 0. 54%,both less than the precision that the manufacturer declared,so the precision verification passed. The equation of linear regres-sion analysis for HbA1c linearity calibrator measured value and target value wasY =1.008X +0.023,with correlation coefficient in-dex r 2 of 0.999,so the linearity was good. The measured results of 20 healthy adults specimens were in the reference interval(4.1%-6.2%)that the manufacturer provided. Conclusion Accuracy, precision, linear correlation and reference range of HbA1c meas-ured by BIO-RAD D-10 HPLC detection method were verified. It can provide the accurate and credible measurement results for clin-ical diagnosis and treatment, and can be used in the detection of clinical specimens.

Objective To investigate the relationship between gastric tonometer and stomach tube methods for determining gastrointramucosal pH (pHi) during the operation. Methods General anesthesia was induced in thirty patients. After endotracheal intubation, electrocardiography, blood pressure,HR and SpO 2 were monitored . The gastric juice were collected by the gastric tonometer and stomach tube methods to determine the PCO 2 at 30,60 and 120 min following anesthesia respectively, and at the same time the arterial blood samples were taken to measure the HCO- 3 concentration with American Corning automatic blood-gas and eletrolytes analyzer.Intramucosal pH was calculated using Henderson-Hasselbalch equation. Results Through correlation and regression analysis , there were positive correlations in the pHi determined at three time points between gastric tonometer and stomach tube methods(r=0.699, 0805 and 0792, P

Objective To detemine the effects of ketamine on c-fos gene expression during global myocardial ischemia-reperfusionMethods Forty Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups: group C as control; group CR as ischemia-reperfusion control and group KH,KM and KL treated with ketamine 1?10 -3,1?10 -4 and 1?10 -5mol/L respectively prior to ischemia-reperfusion Total cellular RNA of myocardium was extracted RT-PCR technique was applied to determining cDNA amplification products ?-actin mRNA served as an internal control Densities of DNA bands were quantified using computer image analysis systemResults As compared with the values of group C, c-fos mRNA levels were increased in group CR,KH,KM and KL(P005)Conclusions C-fos gene may involves in molecular modulation of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury and myocardial protection Ketamine can effectively depress the expression of c-fos gene in myocardium, the middle and the low concentrations of ketamine are more effective than the high concentrations

The porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) can cause reproductive barriers in breeding pigs and respiratory symptoms in piglets. In this review, we summarize research progress of the infection and replication mechanisms of the PRRSV. We also review the virulence determinants of the PRRSV. All these fundamental studies are important for the control and elimination of the PRRSV.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(07):-
Objective To evaluate the CT appearances and diagnostic value of malignant obstructive jaundice. Methods The CT signs of malignant obstructive jaundice proved by surgery and pathology in 50 cases were analyzed ,among them ,there were 21 cases of cholangiocarcinoma,15 cases of the head of pancreas, 8 cases of ampullary carcinoma, 4 cases of gallbladder carcinoma and 2 cases of cholangiocarcinoma complicated with gallbladder carcinoma. Results CT features of malignant obstructive jaundice included dilatation of the bile ducts which presented as“soft rattan sign”,other findings were “truncation sign”,“soft tissue mass”,“double duct sign”,lymphadenopathy and ascites .Conclusion CT examination has important value in diagnosing malignant obstructive jaundice. It can supply accurate location and causes of obstructive jaundice.

Objective To study the protective effects of propofol on isolated rat heart during global myocardial ischemia-reperfusion. Methods 36 Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group and propofol group. Each group was subdivided into 3 subgroups: preischemia, ischemia 30 minutes and ischemia-reperfusion 30 minutes group. The changes in c-fos protein and c-fos mRNA level in isolated Langendorff perfused rat myocardium were assessed by immunohistochemical technique and RT-PCR technique respectively. Results Compared to preischemia subgroup the expression of c-fos protein and c-fos mRNA level in ischemia 30 minutes and ischemia-reperfusion 30 minutes subgroups were higher significantly (P

Objective To evaluate the protective action of Phyllanthus orinaria(PU)for immune liver injury in mice. Methods Forty-eight NIH mice were allocated randomly to high-dose(HG)PU group,low-dose(LG)PU group, bifenbate group(BG),normal control group(NCG),and model group(MG).From the first day of establishing the models,20 g ? kg-1 of PU solution was given for gastric perfusion(GP)to HG PU group,10 g ? kg-1 of PU solution for GP to LG PU group,0.15 g?kg-1 of bifenbate solution for GP to BG group, and the equal amount of normal saline to the normal control group and the model group,qd for 12 days.Serum ALT level and visceral parameters of liver and spleen were determined, and the liver pathological feature was also examined. Results The ALT level, parameters of liver and spleen were markedly decreased in BG group(P 0.05).Conclusion PU has a good effect on counteracting the immune live injury in mice by markedly decreasing the activity of serum transaminase and visceral parameters of liver and spleen, and improving the necrosis of hepatic cells.

Objective To investigate the key steps of hepatic artery reconstruction and the factors influencing the outcome of hepatic artery reconstruction in orthotopic liver transplantation. Methods The clinical data of 107 consecutive orthotopic liver transplantation patients was retrospectively reviewed to assess the key steps in hepatic artery reconstruction. The risk factors and the diagnosis and treatment of vascular complications were also discussed. Results The incidence of hepatic artery related complications in orthotopic liver transplantation was associated with the quality of the donor hepatic artery, the method used for anastomosis and the use of microsurgical technique. The main hepatic artery related complications were hepatic artery thrombosis and stenosis. The incidence of the vascular complications was 6.54%,and the mortality rate was 85.7%. Conclusion The major influence factors of vascular complications were the quality of the donor artery, the reconstruction way of donor-recipient artery and the use of microsurgical technique .
