In this article,the writer analyzed the current situation and problem of novelty research of traditional Chinese medicine.The main body of this article is complied with how to apply knowledge management in novelty research of traditional Chinese medicine.

According to the 'hygiene hypothesis', the intestinal microbes would not only regulate local immune status, but also affect systematic immune homeostasis, which may play an important role in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases. This review will mainly focus on investigating the intricate relationships among intestinal microbes, immune system and allergic diseases. Multiple factors affecting gut microorganisms may influence the immune homeostasis directly and later become risk factors of allergic diseases. This point of view may pave the way for the design of new interventions to the diseases.

The Document Retrieval Center of TCM, founded in 1992, plays an important role in the novelty retrieval of TCM scientific researching projects and clinic researches. But there are still some problems needed to be improved. The author suggests that relative governmental agents and staffs who engage in novelty retrieval should think highly of the novelty retieval of TCM to establish and consummate relative rules and regulations in order to provide the qualified services.

Objective To investigate the antibiotic-resistant gene mecA and the prevalence of Panton-Valentine leukocidin (PVL) gene, toxic shock syndrome toxin (TSST-Ⅰ) gene in S. aureus. Methods A total of 74 S. aureus were collected from clinical specimens. The mecA, PVL and TSST-Ⅰ genes were detected by PCR.Results PVL gene was identified in 22 S. aureus isolates. The prevalence of PVL was 29.7% in S. aureus, 36.6% in MRSA and 21.2% in MSSA. The difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The prevalence of MRSA was 55.4% in 74 S. aureus. The prevalence of TSST-Ⅰ gene was 6.8%. TSST-Ⅰ gene was not detected in MSSA.Conclusions MRSA strains show highly resistant to antibiotics. PVL- and TSST-Ⅰ-positive S. aureus are more pathogenic.

The novelty research is very important for the new drug declaration. This article points out the methods on how to fill in the application, how to grasp the research content correctly and how to formulate retrieval methods in the process of novelty research.

Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment of renal inflammatory pseudotumor (RIP). Methods 10 cases of RIP treated from 1970 to 1999 were reviewed and the diagnosis and treatment were discussed. Results The main clinical manifestation of RIP were fever,lumbago and hematuria.6 of 10 underwent nephrectomy because of the suspicion of kidney cancer whereas the other 4 were cured by antibiotics without recurrence on following up for 1～5 years. Conclusions RIP is rare,the diagnosis being based on clinical symptoms together with dynamic B ultrasound and CT scan.Needle biopsy is indicated to establish the diagnosis if necessary.Antibiotics is usually effective.

The clinical and pathological data of eight cases of nasal solitary keratoacanthoma were analyzed and relevant literatures were reviewed. All of the cases were verified via pathological examination after local lesion excision, along with reconstruction of tissue defects in external nose. The patients were all primary healed. With a follow up from 8 months up to 7 years, only one case relapsed one year after first surgery, and given another operation, no recurrence happened thereafter. The other seven cases did not recur so far. The nasal solitary keratoacanthoma is a squamous tumor with potential malignancy, which manifests similarly with squamous cell carcinoma, and the correct diagnosis requires comprehensive judgment from both the clinical and histopathological characteristics. The disease shows favorable prognosis and low recurrence rate.

OBJECTIVE To study pathogen distribution and susceptibility to sevenral antifungal agents.METHODS The CHROMagar candida color medium was applied to isolate and identify Candida strains.Drug sensitivity was analyzed by the K-B diffusion method.The drug sensitivity to econazole(ECO),nystatin(NYS),itraconazole(ITR),ketoconazole(KET),fluconazole(FLU),flucytosine(FCT),and amphotericin B(AMB)was tested.RESULTS Candida albicans was the most frequent isolated organism accounting for 62.5%.C.tropicalis and others accounted for 21.62% and 8.1%,respectively.The respiratory tract infection accounted for 76.57%,and the urinary tract was the second(6.31%),the blood and genitourinary tract were the third(5.00%).The susceptibility of Candada spp strains to nystatin and amphotericin B was more active than to other antifungal agents.CONCLUSIONS The fungal infection is relative to some risk factors,such as using antibiotics,underlying diseases and aging.Therefore,using antibiotics reasonably and improving the immunity are the main measures of preventing the fungal infection.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of fetal tricuspid regurgitation (TR) in the screening of chromosomal abnormalities at the first-trimester. Methods Screening for chromosomal abnormalities was carried out in 1 262 fetuses at 11+0 to 13+6 weeks. Ultrosound was performed to measure crown rump length and nuchal translucency (NT) thickness, and to acquire tricuspid waveform. All the neonates were followed up for 6 months after birth. Results Among the 1 262 fetuses, 68 were found to have TR. TR was present in 54 (4.4%) of the 1 239 chromosomally normal fetuses, and in 14 (61%) of the 23 with chromosomal abnormalities. Cardiac malformations were detectable in 28 fetuses. The prevalence of TR was 64%in those with cardiac malformations and 1.5%in those without cardiac malformations. Conclusions Tricuspid regurgitation is an effective predictor for the detection of fetal chromosomal abnormalities at the first trimester.

Objective To analyze the operative methods,intraocular lens (IOL) implantation and postoperative complications in children with congenital cataract,and give the references for treating of congenital cataract.Methods From January 2008 to January 2016,children under the age of 13 years with congenital cataract were enrolled.Preoperative and posterior slit lamp microscope,fundus,intraocular pressure were examined.Children under 2 years old were treated with phacoemulsification (PHACO),posterior continuous curvilinear capsulorrhexis (PCCC),anterior-vitrectomy (AV),and ＞ 2-4 years old with PHACO + PCCC + AV + IOL implantation,＞ 4-7 years old children with PHACO + PCCC + IOL implantation,children ＞ 7 years with PHACO + IOL implantation.Results A total of 476 patients (740 eyes) were enrolled in the study,the average age were (33.59 ± 37.14) months,of which 0 ～ 6 months were 166 cases (282 eyes,38.11％).260 eyes were implanted with IOL,aged (5.59 ±2.43) years,480eyes were implanted in the second surgery,aged (4.06 ± 2.12) years.Refaction diopter (equivalent spherical) after IOL implantation in children aged ＞ 2-4 years old was (3.53 ± 0.56) D,＞ 4-6 years old was (2.36 ± 0.32) D,＞ 6-8 years old was (1.65 ±0.52)D,＞8-13 years old was (-0.25 ±0.32) D.The postoperative complications occurred in 326 eyes,of which 115 eyes (35.28％) with iridotic adhesions,97 eyes (29.75％) with posterior cataract on the visual axis,and 54 eyes (16.56％) with glaucoma.At the last follow-up,the best corrected visual acuity were (0.56 ± 0.41) LogMAR for monocular cataract surgery and (0.42 ± 0.27) LogMAR for binocular cataract surgery,the difference was statistically significant (P =0.04).Conclusion One-third of children with congenital cataract are treated with surgical treatment under 6 months old,about half of the children undergo IOL implantation at 2 ～ 3 years of age.The postoperative visual acuity in children with binocular cataract is better than children with monocular cataract.The complications in children are more complicated than adults,which should be paid more attention.
