Objective With multi?center investigation, to assess the life quality of patients with maintained hemodialysis (MHD) in Liaoning Province and to explore the relationship among the mineral metabolism, the life quality of the patients with MHD, and the repeated hospitalization within the latest three years. Methods 1192 patients with hemodialysis (at least 3 months) from January to March in 2015 at ten blood purification centers in Liaoning Province were selected for the cross?————————sectional survey. The Kidney Health?related Quality of Life (HRQOL) version 1.3 was used to evaluate the MHD patients' life quality. The total length of hospitalization was divided into four groups: 0 days, 3 to 15 days, 16 to 30 days and above 30 days. Results When serum calcium value ranged from 2.1 to 2.5 mmol/L, kidney?disease component summary (KDCS), mental component summary (MCS), physical component summary (PCS) and SF?36+KDCS corresponded to a higher value (P<0.05). When serum phosphorus value ranged from 1.13 to 1.78 mmol/L, KDCS and SF?36+KDCS corresponded to a higher value (P<0.05). When the calcium phosphorus product value ranged from 40.68 to 49.94, MCS corresponded to a higher value (P<0.05). KDCS showed a linear correlation with age (P<0.001), dialysis age, serum calcium (less than or equal to 2.5 mmol/L) (P<0.05); PCS showed a linear correlation with age (P<0.001) and dialysis age (P<0.05); SF?36+KDCS showed a linear correlation with age (P<0.001), and serum calcium (less than or equal to 2.5 mmol/L) (P<0.05), while age and dialysis age were negatively correlated. The hospitalization days showed a linear correlation with age, dialysis age (P<0.001) and serum phosphorus, calcium phosphorus product value (P<0.05), while dialysis age and calcium phosphorus product value were negatively correlated. Among different groups of total hospitalization days in three years, age, hemodialysis age, serum calcium, serum phosphorus, calcium?phosphorus product value and quality of life values were all statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions The life quality of patients with MHD were correlated with serum calcium, phosphorus, calcium and phosphorus product value, iPTH, dialysis age and age, while age and dialysis age were of negative correlation. The total number of hospitalization days in 3 years was closely linearly correlated with age and dialysis age, significantly correlated with serum phosphorus, calcium and phosphorus product value, while dialysis age, calcium and phosphorus product value were in a negative correlation. The total number of hospitalization in 3 years was correlated with the patients' age, dialysis age, serum calcium, serum phosphorus, calcium and phosphorus product value and quality of life.

BACKGROUND:With the deepening of the aging of the world population, the prevalence rate of osteoarthritis is increasing. In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the study of osteoarthritis.Studies have shown that autophagy and apoptosis are strongly associated with the occurrence and development of osteoarthritis, and play an important role in it. OBJECTIVE:To review the molecular mechanisms of the interaction between autophagy and apoptosis in osteoarthritis, aiming to explore the relationship between autophagy and apoptosis in osteoarthritis and the coupling mechanism of the two to mediate the occurrence and development of osteoarthritis,so as to provide new ideas for the treatment of osteoarthritis. METHODS:The Chinese and English key words"osteoarthritis, autophagy, apoptosis"were searched in the CNKI and PubMed.After screening by reading the title, abstract and key words, the relevant literature was carefully read. After excluding studies unrelated to the content of the paper and repetitive studies,68 articles were finally included for the summary. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)The occurrence and development of osteoarthritis are related to autophagy and apoptosis of chondrocytes.Autophagy protects chondrocytes from stress damage, but excessive autophagy also induces or promotes chondrocyte apoptosis and reduces the survival rate of chondrocytes. The two perturb each other to regulate the degeneration of articular cartilage.(2)miRNA,Beclin-1 and oxidative stress are all involved in the regulation of autophagy and apoptosis on osteoarthritis, and affect the development of osteoarthritis.

Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety of CT and ultrasound-guided percutaneous biopsy of lung or pleural lesions. Methods:The clinical data of 193 patients with lung space occupying lesions near the pleura who underwent CT or ultrasound-guided percutaneous puncture in Shiyan People's Hospital Affiliated to Hubei University of Medicine from February 2017 to October 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. According to the puncture mode, the patients were divided into CT-guided group ( n=115) and ultrasound-guided group ( n=78) . The general clinical data, pathological examination results, puncture success rate and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Logistic regression was used for univariate and multivariate regression analysis. Results:The detection rate of malignant tumors in the CT-guided group (60.00%, 69/115) was higher than that in the ultrasound-guided group (50.00%, 39/78) , with no statistically significant difference ( χ2=1.89, P=0.170) . The puncture success rate in the CT-guided group (88.70%, 102/115) was slightly lower than that in the ultrasound-guided group (93.59%, 73/78) , with no statistically significant difference ( χ2=1.32, P=0.251) . The incidence of postoperative complications in the CT-guided group (18.26%, 21/115) was higher than that in the ultrasound-guided group (6.41%, 5/78) , with a statistically significant difference ( χ2=5.60, P=0.018) . The incidence of pneumothorax in the CT-guided group (13.04%, 15/115) was higher than that in the ultrasound-guided group (3.85%, 3/78) , with a statistically significant difference ( χ2=4.65, P=0.031) . The incidence rate of bleeding in the CT-guided group (5.22%, 6/115) was higher than that in the ultrasound-guided group (2.56%, 2/78) , with no statistically significant difference ( χ2=0.82, P=0.364) . In the CT-guided group, 1 patient (0.87%) had severe bleeding requiring surgical treatment, 5 patients (4.35%) required closed thoracic drainage for treatment. In the ultrasound-guided group, no patients had pneumothorax or bleeding requiring drainage or surgery. Univariate analysis showed that the puncture method was an independent risk factor for the puncture success rate in patients with lesion-pleura contact arc length (LPCAL) ≥38 mm ( OR=7.82, 95% CI: 1.57-35.50, P=0.039) . Multivariate analysis showed that puncture method is an independent risk factor affecting the puncture success rate in patients with LPCAL≥38 mm ( OR=7.75, 95% CI: 1.44-41.36, P=0.042) . Among patients with LPCAL≥38 mm, the puncture success rates of CT- and ultrasound-guided puncture were 84.38% (54/64) and 98.00% (49/50) , respectively, and the puncture success rate of CT-guided puncture was lower than that of ultrasound-guided puncture, with a statistically significant difference ( χ2=4.52, P=0.034) . In LPCAL<38 mm patients, the puncture success rates of CT- and ultrasound-guided puncture were 94.12% (48/51) and 85.71% (24/28) , respectively, and the CT-guided puncture success rate was higher than that of the ultrasound-guided puncture, with a statistically significant difference ( χ2=0.71, P=0.399) . Conclusion:Ultrasound-guided percutaneous puncture biopsy of lung or pleural lesions has the advantages of high diagnostic rate and few complications. Both ultrasound-guided and CT-guided puncture biopsy are feasible methods for puncture of chest wall lesions. When LPCAL≥38 mm, ultrasound-guided puncture biopsy may have more advantages.

Objective To explore the effect of the total saponins of panax notoginseng ( TSPN) on depression-like behavior following global cerebral ischemia depression in rats and its mechanism. Method-s Using four-vessel occlusion method to build the global cerebral ischemia model, then the cerebral ischemi-a rats were given solitary breeding with chronic unpredictable mild stress ( CUMS) to prepare depression model. Seventy rats were divided into sham group (n=10),model group ( n=20),PSD group ( n=20) and TSPN group (n=20). The rats in the TSPN group were administered TSPN intraperitoneally 30 min post-brain ischemia. The dose of TSPN (75mg/kg) was suspended in 0. 9% saline 10g/L,once per day for 30 days after reperfusion. While rats in the vehicle group and PSD group was treated with equal volume of 0. 9% saline, one injection per day until the rats were sacrificed at 30 days after brain ischemia. The BrdU,dou-blecortin (DCX) expression in the hippocampus was assessed by immunohistochemistry. Results In com-parison with the model group, the sucrose preference percentage in the PSD group was significantly lower ((46. 2±9. 2)%,(61. 2±7. 6)%;t=3. 18,P<0. 05),then the PSD rats were administered TSPN intraperito-neally,the sucrose preference percentage increased significantly ((62. 4±3. 4)%,(46. 2±9. 2)%;t=3. 43, P<0. 05). During the forced swimming test, the immobility time of PSD group was significantly increased compared with the model group ((119. 4±9. 7)s,(88. 0±15. 6)s ;t=4. 30,P<0. 01),while after PSD rats administering TSPN intraperitoneally, the immobility time was shorten remarkably ((97. 4±6. 7)s,(119. 4± 9. 7)s;t=3. 01,P<0. 05). Compared with the Model group( BrdU+:( 12. 6± 2. 2)/mm2,DCX+:( 38. 6± 4. 2)/mm2),the number of BrdU+ and DCX+ cells in the SGZ of hippocampus in PSD group decreased (BrdU+:(8. 8±1. 5)/mm2,DCX+:(27. 2±2. 8)/mm2;t=3. 25,4. 29,both P<0. 01). And compared with PSD group, the number of BrdU+ and DCX+ cells in the SGZ of hippocampus in TSPN group increased sig-nificantly (BrdU+:(14. 8±2. 8)/mm2,DCX+:(37. 0±3. 3)/mm2;t=4. 68,3. 69,both P<0. 05). Conclu-sion TSPN can improve the depression-like behavior of rats following global cerebral ischemia, which may be related with promoting hippocampal nerve regeneration.

Objective:To investigate the effect of total saponins of Panax notoginseng (TSPN) on learning and memory of post-stroke depression (PSD) rats and its mechanism.Methods:Four-vessel occlusion method was used to build the rat stroke model and 7 days later these rats were given solitary breeding with chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) to make depression model. Rats were randomly divided into Sham group ( n=10), Model group ( n=10), PSD group ( n=10) and TSPN group ( n=10). The rats in the Model group and PSD group were injected administered with equal volume of 0.9% saline 30 min post-brain ischemia, one injection per day for 30 days. while TSPN group were treated with TSPN. The dose of TSPN (75 mg/kg) was dissolved in 0.9% saline 10 g/L, once per day for 30 days. Then the learning and memory of rats were tested by Morris water maze. The protein levels of DCX and Nestin in the hippocampus were detected by Western blot. Furthermore, the DCX/Ki67 co-labeled cells in the SGZ of hippocampus were observed by the immunofluorescence. Results:The escape latency at the fifth day of PSD group((31.8±3.8)s) was longer than that in the Sham group((10.4±3.2)s) and Model group((19.8±3.7)s) ( t=9.23, 5.15; both P<0.05). The escape latency ((14.2±2.8)s) of TSPN group was shortened significantly than PSD group ( t=8.56, P<0.05). The times across the platform in the Sham group was (10.3±1.7), and the PSD group was (4.1±1.1), difference was statistically significant between two groups( t=11.24, P<0.05). The times across the platform (8.4±1.6) of TSPN group statistically increased compared with PSD group ( t=5.77, P<0.05). The protein levels of DCX and Nestin in the PSD group were (0.60±0.02), (0.58±0.03) respectively, and in the TSPN group were (1.07±0.07), (0.95±0.11) correspondingly, there were significant differences of the DCX, Nestin protein level between the two groups( t=20.22, 7.68, both P<0.01). Moreover, there was significant difference in the number of the DCX/Ki67cells in the hippocampus SGZ between the PSD group((16.2±2.8) /mm 2) and TSPN group ((21.2±3.1) /mm 2)( t=2.42, P<0.05). Conclusion:TSPN could improve the learning and memory of the rats with post-stroke depression through enhancing the hippocampus neurogenesis.
