Objective To explore the effects of exogenous methionine on arsenical distribution in liver, blood and brain of mice exposed to sodium arsenite through drinking water. Methods The female Kunming mice were randomly divided into control group, the alone arsenic exposure group , the low level methionine intervention group, the moderate level methionine intervention group and the high level methionine intervention group, eight mice in each group . The mice in the experimental groups were exposed to sodium arsenite through drinking water at 50 mg/L arsenic for four consecutive weeks. And at the fourth week the 5 groups were treated intraperitoneally with saline solution (control and As group),100 mg/kg b.w,200 mg/kg b.w or 400 mg/kg b.w methionine, respectively . Twenty-four hours after cessation of methionine administration, mice were anaesthetized and rapidly dissected. The samples of blood, liver and brain were removed immediately for arsenic species analysis. Levels of inorganic arsenic (iAs),monomethylarsonic acid (MMA) and dimethylarsenic acid (DMA) were determined by HG-AAS method. Then total arsenic speciation( TAs), primary methylation ratio( PMR)and secondary methylation ratio( SMR)in each tissue were calculated. Results Compared with the control group, the levels of iAs, MMA, DMA and TAs in liver, brain and blood, were significantly higher in all experimental groups ( P

ObjectiveTo investigate the association of complement C3 with clinical and serological features of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.MethodsData was collected by the same methods in the past ten years in fifteen hospitals in Jiangsu Province and then data weres summarized for retrospective analysis.Clinical and laboratory data were selected and then analyzed by Chi-square test,Wilcoxon rank sum test and Logistic regression.ResultsOne thousand four hundred and five patients were investigated. One thousand and forty two had low serum complement C3 level. In this case control study, hospitalization age, disease course, admission times, pleurisy, gastrointestinal involvement, general lymphadenopathy/hepatosplenomegaly,white blood cell count, haemoglobin level, platelet count, serum C-reactive protein level, serum albumin level, serum creatinine level,Urine protein quantification,anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA),anti-dsDNAantibodies, anti-SmantibodiesandSLEDAIscore were possible factors associatedwith complement C3 reduction(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that CRP (OR=0.396,0.254-0.617,P=0.000),ANA (OR=2.907,1.267-6.670,P=0.012),urine protein level(OR=1.702,1.043-2.779,P=0.033) and SLEDAI score (OR-0.930, 0.886-0.975,P-0.003) were correlated with complement C3 reduction. Conclusion Complement C3 level is valuable for lupus flare assessment. The complement C3 reduction is a risk factor for renal impairment.

Objective:To explore the value of panoramic teaching in clinical practice teaching of department of respiratory medicine. Methods:A total of 35 clinical interns who had a 3-week rotation in the department of respiratory medicine from October 2019 to June 2020 were selected, and they were divided into a control group ( n=17) and a study group ( n=18) according to the order of admission. The control group used traditional teaching, and the research group used panoramic teaching. After the teaching, the teaching effect was evaluated through theoretical knowledge assessment, practical assessment and questionnaire survey. SPSS 19.0 was used for t test. Results:There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups of interns in theoretical assessment [(89.62±4.05) points vs. (90.84±4.12) points, t=-0.891, P=0.379]. The results of practice assessment (case analysis, physical examination of the department, medical history inquiry and skills manipulation) of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group ( P<0.05). The interns in study group were better than those in control group in such aspects as learning interest, self-learning ability, self-study ability, doctor-patient communication language expression ability, literature review ability, clinical thinking ability, comprehensive analysis ability, knowledge development ability, system diagnosis ability, teamwork ability and teaching satisfaction ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Panoramic teaching can effectively improve the ability of interns to master the clinical diagnosis and treatment of respiratory medicine, improve the teaching effect, and improve the learning ability and clinical competence of interns in the future.

Objective:To explore the effective chemical constituents and target genes of the Sanhan-Qushi-Wenjing-Tongluo formula through the method of network pharmacology, and to further analyze the mechanism of treatoffing psoas fasciitis. Methods:The TCMSP database was used to search and screen the chemical active substances of Sanhan-Qushi-Wenjing-Tongluo formula and its target proteins acting on the human body. At the same time, the GeneCards database platform was used to predict the target of disease and the active ingredient-target network was constructed. Construct a PPI network through the STRING database, search for PPI core genes, and then perform GO enrichment analysis and KEGG enrichment analysis to find the signal pathways involved and construct a target-path network. Results:Through screening, a total of 23 key chemical components and 25 common target proteins was obtained in Sanhan-Qushi-Wenjing-Tongluo formula treating psoas fasciitis; gene analysis of enrichment analysis results include antibiotic response, cyclin-dependent proteins kinase holoenzyme complex, cytokine receptor binding, etc. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analysis results include AGE-RAGE signaling pathway, measles, endocrine resistance, inflammatory bowel disease, etc; the target genes gained which have a higher degree of matching with the above mentioned pathways include IL6, JUN, IL1B, CDK4, CCND1. Conclusion:Sanhan-Qushi-Wenjing-Tongluo formula could treat psoas fasciitis by regulating the target genes such as IL6, JUN, IL1B, CDK4 and CCND1.
