Objective To determine the effects of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) on risk stratification and prognosis of patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST).Methods Literatures in the Cochrane libraries of clinical comparative trials,PubMed,EMBASE,Cancer Lit and Chinese BioMedical Literature from 1966 to 2012 were retrieved using the Cochrane systematic evaluation method. The original data were extracted and crosschecked by 2 reviewers. The indicator for assessment including positive rates of COX-2 in GIST patients with different tumor diameters (<5 cm versus ≥5 cm),mitosis of cancer cells (<5/50 HPF versus ≥5/50 HPF) and National Institute of Health (NIH) risk stratifications (very low + low versus intermediate + high). The relationship between COX-2 expression and recurrence and metastasis of GIST was evaluated. All the data were analyzed using the RevMan 5.1 software with Meta analysis. The heterogeneity between studies was analyzed using the I2.The binary data were presented by odds ration (OR) and 95% confidence interval (95 % CI).Results Seven articles with a total of 415 patients were included in the analysis. The COX-2 expression did not correlate with the tumor diameters,NIH risk stratifications and tumor metastasis and recurrence (OR =0.60,0.72,2.46,P > 0.05),but with the mitosis of cancer cells (OR =0.46,P < 0.05).Conclusion COX-2 expression is partly correlated with risk stratification of GIST,but has no effect on the prognosis.

BACKGROUND:With the introduction of related policies on organ procurement and distribution, the organ procurement and standards of the organ procurement have a clear operational criteria, as wel as how to al ocate organs. But the work processes and organizational positioning on organ procurement organization are not enough elaborated and normal. OBJECTIVE:To analyze the experience of Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command as the organ procurement organization units in quality management, timely review working progress and explore areas for improvement, which provide the corresponding countermeasures for enhancing quality management and establishing the efficient and professional organ procurement organization. METHODS:A computer-based online search in CNKI database and PubMed database was performed with the keywords of“organ donation, organ transplantation, Organ Procurement Organization, quality management”in English and Chinese by screening titles and abstracts. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:According to relevant laws and regulations, Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command formulates a standard evaluation standard and sets up the team, thus achieving the reunification of the responsibilities and powers. At the same time, they improve the relevant organ donation, acquisition, preservation, registration, and design different quality management plans according to these different aspects. In addition, In addition, the hospital hold regular coordinator training and make it standardization. Through a series of quality management measures, the hospital organ procurement organization has gradual y regularized and achieved some results. It is recommended to further strengthen scientific research, achieve the unification of efficiency and effectiveness of scientific research;improve the awareness of the hospital leaders, consummate the mechanism of organ procurement;focus on personnel training, improve the professional quality of the organization members;enhance information management, achieve multi-disciplinary col aboration;build quality evaluation system, achieve the whole process of quality management;emphasize on medical ethics, and promote the harmony between the hospital and the patient.

Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy of acupuncture at the thirteen ghost points in treating postpartum depression and its effect on the quality of life. Methods Sixty patients with postpartum depression were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 in each group. The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture at the thirteen ghost points, while the control group was by oral administration of Fluoxetine. The Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAMD) and the Short-Form (36) Health Survey (SF-36) were compared before and after intervention. Results The HMAD score was significantly changed in both groups after intervention (P<0.05). There was a significant difference in comparing the HAMD score between the two groups after intervention (P<0.05). There were significant differences in comparing the post-treatment bodily pain (BP), general health (GH), vitality (VT), social functioning (SF), mental health (MH), and health transition (HT) between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture at the thirteen ghost points can effectively improve the postpartum depression and the quality of life.

ObjectiveTo discuss the role of transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV 1) in the regulation effect of electroacupuncture on gastric motility.MethodTRPV1 gene knock-out mice (KO mice) and wild-type C57BL/6 mice (WT mice) were selected to receive acupuncture at Zusanli (ST36),Quchi (LI11), Zhongwan (CV12), and Weishu (BL21), and the intragastric pressure was observed before and after acupuncture.ResultElectroacupuncture at Zusanli caused both excitation and inhibition in WT mice, predominated by mild excitation, while electroacupuncture at Weishu, Quchi and Zhongwan all caused inhibition effect; in the KO mice, electroacupuncture at Zusanli, Quchi, Zhongwan, and Weishu all inhibited gastric motility. Conclusion TRPV1 bears certain regulating effect on gastric motility, andacupuncture can inhibit the gastric motility in TRPV gene KO mice.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(07):-
Objective To observe the serum cardiac troponin I (cTnI) level and to analysis the relations between the serum cTnI level and prognosis in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and Cardiac Dysfunction. Methods Serum cardiac cTnI level was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay. Results The serum cTnI level in DCM patients with class IV cardiac function (0.53 ?0.31) ?g/L was significantly higher than in DCM patients with class Ⅲ cardiac function (0.45?0.27) ?g/L.There was significantly difference in serum cTnI levels between DCM patients with class Ⅲ cardiac function and DCM patients with class Ⅱ cardiac function(0.29?0.27) ?g/L.Conclusion The higher serum cTnI level is correlated with the severity of cardiac function and may be useful for evaluating prognosis in patients with DCM.

Researches show that exosome can take park in the development and progression of breast cancer by means of mediating the intercellular communication, which can promote cancer metastasis and drug resistance, thus influencing the treatment effect of patients with cancers.Exosome is closely related with clinical stage and prognosis of breast cancer, which has a potential value in the early diagnosis and biological therapy of breast cancer and provides a new hope for the treatment of breast cancer.

Objective To determine the effect of video-assisted retroperitoneal debridement in treatment of infected necrotizing pancreatitis.Methods The clinical data of patients with infected necrotizing pancreatitis was retrospectively analyzed.Heart rate,mean arterial pressure,body temperature and indicators for inflammatory response including level of WBC,CRP and procalcitonin before and after VARD treatment were compared.Results After VARD treatment,the heart rate (preoperative vs.postoperative 8 h,108 ± 22/min vs.95 ± 17/min),mean arterial pressure (preoperative vs.postoperative 12 h,66 ± 18 mmHg vs.79 ± 19 mmHg) and body temperature(preoperative vs.postoperative 24 h,38.3 ± 1.7 ℃ vs.37.3 ± 1.3 ℃) improved significantly (all P < 0.05).Level of WBC [preoperative vs.postoperative 48 h,(13.8 ±6.6) × 109/L vs.(10.1 ±5.2) × 109/L],CRP(preoperative vs.postoperative 48 h,145 ± 88 mg/L vs.95 ± 4 mg/L) and procalcitonin (preoperative vs.postoperative 48 h,1.4 ± 0.7 μg/L vs.0.9 ± 0.4 μg/L) also decreased significantly(all P < 0.05).Conclusions VARD therapy can significantly reduce systemic inflammation and improve the general condition of infected necrotizing pancreatitis patients.
