Objective To investigate the effect of propofol on the liver function of offspring rats de?livered by cesarean section. Methods Twenty?four Sprague?Dawley rats, at 20 days of gestation, weig?hing 230-270 g, were divided into 4 groups ( n=6 each) using a random number table: control group (group C), propofol 2.0 mg∕kg group (group P2), propofol 4.0 mg∕kg group (group P4), and propofol 8.0 mg∕kg group (group P8). In P2, P4 and P8 groups, the corresponding doses of propofol were injected intravenously, and the cesarean section was performed at 30 min after loss of righting reflex. In group C, the pregnant rats were sacrificed by cervical dislocation at the corresponding time point, and the offspring rats were removed immediately and inhaled oxygen sufficiently. The neonatal rats were sacrificed immediate?ly, and the blood samples were taken from the heart for determination of plasma alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) concentrations, and the livers were removed and cut into sections which were stained with haematoxylin and eosin for microscopic examination of the pathological changes. Results Compared with group C, the plasma ALT and AST concentrations in the offspring rats were significantly increased in P2, P4 and P8 groups (P<0.05). Compared with group P2, the plasma ALT and AST concentrations in the offspring rats were significantly increased in P 4 and P 8 groups ( P<0.01). Compared with group P4, the plasma ALT and AST concentrations in the offspring rats were signifi?cantly increased in group P8 (P<0.01). In P2, P4 and P8 groups, marked pathological changes of liver tissues were observed, and the severity was gradually aggravated in turn in offspring rats. Conclusion Propofol can induce damage to the livers of offspring rats delivered by cesarean section in a dose?dependent manner.

The protective effect of selenium against irradiation were studied by measuring the content of lipid peroxide (LPO) and activity of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) in liver and spleen of BALB/C mice. The results showed that LPO contents in liver and spleen of whole-body-irradiated mice were higher than those of the control group on the third day after irradiation with 3 Gy 60Co ?-ray, while the GSH-Px activity of these tissues was significantly decreased. However, when the animals were given sodium selenite solution 0.2ml (12.5?g selenium) per day via mouth successively for 7 days before irradiation, there were remarkably reduced LPO level and increased GSH-Px activity in liver and spleen of irradiated mice. It is suggested that selenium supplementation may prevent mice from radiation injury by reducing LPO level and increasing GSH-Px activity in liver and spleen.

Objective To establish a method for measuring serum content of gentiopicroside in Beagle dogs and to explore its internal pharmacokinetic features. Methods The rapid and sensitive HPLC method was adopted as external standard. After intravenous injection of gentiopicroside, serum samples of the Beagle were collected and measured on C18 reverse-phase chromatographic column after liquid -liquid extraction. Results The linear range of gentiopicroside was 0.1343～687.375 ?g?mL-1(r2=0.99993). The recovery was within 81.15 %～97.99 %. The limit of detection (LOD) was 0.1343 ?g?mL-1. Conclusion The pharmacokinetic process of gentiopicroside can be described as one-compartment model with intravenous injection , t1/2 = 1.1324 h, Ke = 0.5811 h-1, V= 0.5316 L?kg-1, CL = 0.3274 L?kg-1?h-1. This indicates that gentiopicroside can be quickly distributed and eliminated and is not liable to be accumulated in the body.

AIM:To establish a liquid chromatography method for determining the monosaccharide composition of human lipoproteins, and to investigate the differences between diabetic patients and healthy participants.METHODS:Liquid chromatography with pre-column derivatization was used to determine the neutral and basic monosaccharides, and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry was applied to quantify N-acetylneuraminic acid content.RESULTS:The contents of mannose, glucosamine, N-acetylglucosamine, glucose, galactose and N-acetylneuraminic acid in high-density lipoprotein from healthy participants and diabetic patients were (5.88 ±0.94),(16.49 ±4.11),(1.31 ±0.33), (0.87 ±0.16), (7.18 ±1.64), (2.14 ±0.12) mmol/(g protein) and (8.68 ±0.39), (24.73 ±5.50), (1.91 ±0.54), (1.23 ±0.35), (9.73 ±2.85), (3.53 ±0.27) mmol/(g protein), respectively.The contents of mannose, glu-cosamine,N-acetylglucosamine, glucose, galactose and N-acetylneuraminic acid in low-density lipoprotein from healthy par-ticipants and diabetic patients were ( 29.20 ±3.57 ) , ( 50.77 ±4.72 ) , ( 5.28 ±0.64 ) , ( 10.06 ±1.37 ) , ( 28.44 ± 3.96),(6.86 ±0.11) mmol/(g protein) and (30.08 ±3.78), (38.52 ±6.38), (3.79 ±0.78), (7.63 ±1.50), (20.05 ±2.63), (6.45 ±0.18) mmol/(g protein), respectively.The contents of mannose, glucosamine, glucose, ga-lactose and N-acetylneuraminic acid in very-low-density lipoprotein from healthy participants and diabetic patients were (91.21 ±4.12), (27.05 ±2.34), (4 230.95 ±15.83), (43.40 ±3.75), (2.95 ±0.24) mmol/(g protein) and (82.40 ±0.51), (30.16 ±0.32), (4 722.73 ±93.27), (34.05 ±2.81), (4.42 ±0.15) mmol/(g protein), respec-tively.CONCLUSION:Liquid chromatography with pre-column derivatization is suitable for the neutral and basic mono-saccharide analysis in human lipoproteins, and the glycosylation of lipoproteins in diabetic patients are significantly changed compared with the healthy controls.

Objectives To investigate the risk factors of cardiorenal syndrome type 1 (CRS1) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods The medical date of hospitalized patients with AMI from January,2013 to February,2014 in Hunan Provincial People~ Hospital were reviewed.A total of 265 patients with AMI was divided into CRS1 and non-CRS1 groups.The univariate comparison and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were performed to obtain the CRS1 risk factors.Results In the 265 AMI patients,CRS1 was found in 59 patients (22.3％).Age,history of diabetes,Killip classification,left ventricular ejection fraction (LVFF),baseline serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen,uric acid,baseline evaluated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR),serum sodium,the left anterior descending artery lesion,emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI),β-blocker,and angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor/angiotensin receptor antagonist (ACEI/ARB) were statistically different between CRS1 and non-CRS1 groups (all P ＜ 0.05).Multivariate logistic regression showed that age,history of diabetes,Killip classification,reduced LVEF,reduced eGFR,hyponatremia,the left anterior descending artery lesionn,emergency PCI non-undergo,and β-blocker non-use were independent risk factors for CRS1 after AMI.Conclusions CRS1 is a common complication in AMI patients,which is associated with many factors.Our data suggest that patients with AMI should be more comprehensively assessed and monitored,thereby preventing the occurrence of CRS1.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Vitapex paste in the root canal for deciduous teeth with chronic apical periodontitis.Methods:200 children with chronic apical periodontitis were selected and divided into two groups.The observation group (108 cases)was given Vitapex paste.The control group (92 cases) was given Zinc oxide iodoform paste.The effect of Vitapex paste in root canal for deciduous teeth with chronic apical periodontitis was evaluated by filling quality after 1 month'treatment,the VAS scores before and after treatment,long-term curative effect were compared between two groups.Results:After 1 month'treatment,the suitable filling rate of observation group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistical significance in the VAS scores between two groups (P＞0.05).After 1 week'and 1 month'treatment,the pain feeling were alleviated in two groups and significantly lighter in the observation group(P＜0.05).After 6 months' follow-up,the success rate was 96.3％ in the observation group and 87.0％ in the control group,the success rate of observation group was higher than that of the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion:The filling process of Vitapex paste was simple and easy,which had a good therapeutic effect on chronic apical periodontitis of deciduous teeth and could relieve the toothache of patients.

Objective To investigate the incidence rate, high risk factors and hemodynamic changes of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in premature infants, and to give suggestions abo ut clinical monitoring and management of PDA in premature infants. Methods Echocardiography was performed on 86 non-ventilated or weaned from ventilator-pr emature infants at 2 to 5 days of age,whose gestational age was 28 to 36 weeks. All premature infants diagnosed as PDA were followed up clinically and by Echoc ardiography until discharged. Results Twenty-two infants diagnosed as PDA at mean 3 days of age, mean gestational age was (33.l?2.0) weeks. Ductus in 16 infants (out of 20 infants) closed spontaneo usly when repeated echocardiography at mean 8.5 days of age. For 4 remaining PDA infants, ductus closed in 2 cases (l treated with indomethacin). One ductus reo pened because of sepsis, and 3 infants discharged with opened ductus at their 2l , 40 and 47 days of age respectively. Single and multiple Logistic analysis indi cated that the lower the birth-weight ,the higher the incidence of PDA (?2=2. 8907 P=0.0891); neonatal asphyxia and suffered from severe diseases (neonat al respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis) were high risk factors of PDA (?2= 4.3729 P=0.0365;?2=11.6590 P=0.0006). Premature infants with PDA h ad good heart function,although their LA/AO ratio increased slightly (1.0810?0. 18 vs 1.00?0.07,P= 0.048).Conclusions PDA incidence at 3 days of life in 33 weeks premature infants is 25.6%, 85% PDA disappeares spontaneously during follow-up. Objective To investigate the rat bone structural changes of lower limb following lumbar nerve dorsal roots section.Methods Forty-eight mature female Wistar rats were divided into posterior radi- cotomy(PR)and comtrol groups randomly.The bilateral femoral bone mineral density(BMD)and biome- chanics characteristics were analyzed 2,4 and 8 weeks after the radicotomy.The same operation except the radicotomy was done in the sham group.Results In PR group,2,4,and 8 weeks after the radicotomy,the BMD of femur was(0.221?0.008)g/cm~3,(0.213?0.015)g/cm~3 ,and(0.216?0.105)g/cm~3 ,respective- ly;while that was(0.223?0.005)g/cm~3,(0.218?0.014)g/cm~3 ,and(0.208?0.111)g/cm~3 in control group.No significant difference was observed between the two groups(P＞0.05).In PR group,2,4,and 8 weeks after the operation,the mean maximum load in three-point bending test of femun midshaft was(93.64?8.76)N,(89.77?11.18)N and(93.21?8.74)N,respectively,and was lower than the values of the con- trol group at the same time point(95.94?6.29)N,(91.63?9.43)N,(95.57?8.64)N,However,there was no significant difference between the two groups(P＞0.05).Accordingly,there was no significant difference in the energy absorption in femun midshaft between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion The selective rhizotomies of part lumbar never dorsal roots might not cause the loss of the femur BMD and the change of bio- mechanics property significantly in short period.

Objective Investigate the Asi-antidiarrheal capsule's effect on gastrointestinal horrnones in blood plasma of thyroid hormone-induced diarrheic(Abbreviation:Hyperthyroid Diarrhea.,D)rats.Methods One hundred and twenty SD male rats about 8 weeks old were randomly divided according to their constitution into control group of 10 rats and thyroid hormone-induced diarrheic group of 110 rats.The control group rats welle hvaged with isotonic Na chloride 1 ml/d.Thyroid tablets were made with isotonic Na chloride into 40 g/L susnl. The such solution with 1 ml/d was intragastrically administered to each rat in thyroid hormone-induced diardleic group.After three weeks,blood was sampled from vena caudalis of each rat.FT4 were then detected in blood semm.Fourty-two thyroid hormone-induced diarrheic rats were screened based on FT3 and FT4 level in blood serum, wet stool and body weisht.Fourty thyroid hormone-induced diarrheic rats were stochastically re-divided into 5 groups with 8 in each.The physiological saline with 1 ml/d was given to blank group,1.94 g·-kg-1·d-1 Berberine capsule to positive control group,and 0.63,1.26,2.52 g·kg-1·d-1 to low-dose,moderate-dose and high-dose groups respectivelv. Intragastric administration of each group continued for 7 days.Venous blood was centrifuged before and after administration and underwent radioimmunoassay to observe the effect of Ashi-antidiarrheal capsule on motillty (MTL),gastrin(GAS),somatostatin(SS),vasoactive intestinal polypeptide(VlP)in blood plasma of thyroid homlone- induced diarrheic rats.Results①Weight of thyroid hormone-induced diarrheic rats decreased[(344.0±12.9)g], FT3[(4,58 ±0.70)mol/L]and FT4[(23.44±4.40)mol/L]increased,and weight of wet stool[(17.4±3.2)g] increased.Compared to control group[(386.0±1.8)g,(2.08±0.10)mol/L,(10.18±2.00)mol/L,(9.1±0.6)g], there was a statistical significance(t=6.85,9.80,7.66,7.18,P<0.01).②After treatment,high-dose Ashi-antidiarrheal group[(80.54 ±3.80)ng/L]and positive control group[(90.63 ±9.99)ng/L]blood plasma MTL, compared to pre-therapy[(204.27±17.69),(187.79±13.32)ng/L]was decreased,there wag a statistical significance (t=8.60,4.57,P<0.01)③GAS contentshad respectively decreased comparedtopre-therapy[(192.75±11.80), (193.09±3.81),(190.60±9.31),(196.33±18.13)ng/L]in positive control group[(56.06 ±6.36)ng/L],low- dose group[(90.88±4.18)ng/L],midst-dose group[(75.64±7.09)ng/L]and hish-dose group[(44.32±3.72) ng/L],except for blank group.There Wag a statistical significance(t=15.27,7.62,13.43,13.22,all P<0.01).The intm-group difference of MTL,GAS and VIP level had statistic signifieances before and after the treatment(F= 166.68,1503.53,216.68,P<0.01).Conclusion Ashi-antidiarrheal capsule Can significantly lower the level of MTL and GAS in blood plasma。And raise the level of VIP.
