Objective:To investigate the correlation between anterior cruciate ligament injury and the bone contusion in the posterior of tibial plateau and the risk factors of it.Methods:Data of patients with knee trauma who came to our hospital from Oct. 2017 to Nov. 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. There are 100 males and 55 females with an average age of 40.0±10.6 years (range, 18-60). Bone contusion in the posterior tibial plateauand anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament, lateral collateral ligament and fibula injury were evaluated through imaging data, and injury mechanism, age, sex and the side of injury were collected from medical records. The effect of events on bone contusion in the posterior of tibial plateau was analyzed. Results:Bone contusion occurred in 92 of the 155 patients (56 males and 36 females), with an average age of 39.6±10.5 years (range, 19-55 years). There were 45 cases on right knee and 47 cases on the left side. ACL injury: ACL was completely ruptured in 42 cases, partially ruptured in 34 cases, and had no injury in 16 cases. There were 18 cases with PCL injury, and 74 cases without any injury. There were 57 cases of non-contact injury, and 35 cases of contact injury. There were 57 cases with fibular head injury, and 35 cases without. There were 44 cases with MCL injury, and 48 cases without. There were 13 cases with LCL injury, and 79 cases without. ACL injury degree ( χ2=18.345, P<0.05) and the head of fibula ( χ2=5.495, P<0.05) injury were significantly different between the two groups. There was no significant difference in male ratio ( χ2=1.315, P>0.05), knee side ( χ2=0.880, P>0.05), injury mechanism ( χ2=3.467, P>0.05), age ( t=0.664, P>0.05), LCL ( χ2=0.010, P>0.05)、MCL ( χ2=0.029, P>0.05) and PCL ( χ2=0.161, P>0.05). ACL injury was an independent risk factor for bone contusion in the posterior of tibial plateau ( P<0.05) and the injury of fibula head was an independent risk factor for the formation of bone contusion in the posterior of tibial plateau ( P<0.05) according to logistic analysis. The possibility of bone contusion on the posterior tibial plateau in ACL complete injury was significantly greater than that of ACL partial injury ( OR=2.695, P=0.021). Conclusion:The injury of ACL and fibula head are independent risk factors for the bone contusion in posterior of tibial plateau; ACL complete injury is more likely to be associated with posterior tibial plateau bone contusion than ACL partial injury.

AIM: To explore the variation of blood biochemistry and arterial blood gas of patients with systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) in the early time after trauma and improve the diagnosis and first aid. METHODS: Eighty-eight patients with trauma from August 2003 to February 2004 were divided into two groups by their AIS-ISS90 score. The data of temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, white blood cell counts, Hb, blood glucose and arterial blood gas (PaO 2, PaCO 2, HCO 3 -, AG) were collected and compared with each group by statistic methods. RESULTS: Of the 88 patients, 49 underwent SIRS, 12 in light trauma group (ISS≥16) and 37 in severe trauma group (ISS45 mmHg or 0 05). 13 patients had MODS in severe trauma group and 2 died while none had MODS or died in light trauma group. CONCLUSION: Application of AIS-ISS90 and SIRS-related blood biochemistry and arterial blood gas is beneficial for the diagnosis and treatment for patients in the early time after trauma. [

Objective:China was categorized as one of the 68 countdown countries to achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG) 5. This paper aimed to analyze the situation of maternal survival, and coverage of proven cost effective interventions in China, where specific attention was paid to disparities. Methods: National maternal and child mortality surveillance data were used to estimate maternal mortality ratio (MMR). Coverage for proven interventions was analyzed based on National Health Services Survey, where experts' consultations were made for complementation. Results: There had been a significant reduction of MMR in China, however great disparities existed, with rural Ⅱ to Ⅳ areas experiencing 2 to 5 times higher maternal mortality risks than urban areas and accounting for over 70% maternal mortality burdens. Postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy associated hypertension, embolism and sepsis were the leading causes, and over 75% of the maternal mortality was caused by preventable or curable causes. Maternal health services utilization decreased in accordance with region' s development level. Socioeconomic factors like financial difficulties were the main obstacles hindering access of care.Even those who made deliveries in hospitals faced different probabilities in receiving qualified care according to their socioeconomic standings. Conclusion: China is on track to achieve MDG 5, however great disparities exist. It is necessary to specifically target rural types Ⅱ to Ⅳ areas. Major causes of maternal mortality which can be prevented or averted through the provision of essential obstetrical care. Yet as compared with maternity health needs, insufficient coverage of maternal and child health (MCH) care services and poor service quality are the leading predisposing factors contributing to maternal mortality in China.

Aerenchyrna formation has been described in depth in a number of species at a histological level. But large gaps remain in our understanding of its regulation as a developmental process. It is attempted to analyse essential mineral elements like K, Mg, Cu, Zn, Ca and P in the cell wall of aerenchyma cells in petioles ofS. trifolia at five different developmental stages by CSEM-EDX technique. At early stage, K and Cl concentrations in cell wall were high up to 36% and 4.3% of dry weight, respectively. It supported the hypotheses that aerenchyma spaces are filled with liquid at early developmental stages of aerenchyma in S. trifolia petiole. Mg concentration was high at stage 2, up to 0.86% of dry weight. Zinc and Cu were detected only at rapid expansion stages, during which the concentrations were up to 1.5% and 2.5%, respectively. Calcium was detected in the cell wall only at mature stages, the concentration was high up to 1.3% of dry weight at stages 4 and 5. These results confirmed that the element concentration of aerenehyma cell wall undergoes dynamic changes during different developmental stages, and a low Ca with high Zn and Cu concentration are needed for cell expansion. Copper and Zn deposition in the cell wall showed a significant positive linear correlation, suggesting that these two elements share same or similar uptake and transport mechanism in plants.

In this study, we aimed to investigate the influences of conditioned medium from human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) on cancer stem cell phenotype of human hepatoma cells. HUVEC and human hepatoma cells (MHCC97H) were cultured, respectively, and then the MHCC97H cells were co-cultured with conditioned medium from HUVEC (EC-CM) with Transwell system. Anti-cancer drug sensitivity, colony-formation, migration/invasion ability, expression of cancer stem cell marker and sphere formation were performed to determine the cancer stem cell phenotype in MHCC97H cells. We found that MHCC97H cells co-cultured with EC-CM exhibited significantly higher colony-formation ability and lower sensitivity of anti-cancer drugs 5-FU and Cis. Transwell assay showed that treatment with EC-CM obviously increased migration and invasion of MHCC97H cells. Moreover, increased sphere forming capability and expression of CD133 in MHCC97H cells were observed after co-cultured with EC-CM. These results suggested that EC-CM could promote cancer stem cell phenotype of hepatoma cells.
