Adult male rats were divided at random into two groups and trained on the treadmill running schedules, 60 min/day and 10min/day for group A and B separately. Four weeks later the ultrastructure of the left ventricular myocardium was examined and the specific surface of mitochondria wasmeasured. Comparing to the corresponding control group, the specific surface of mitochondria in the two groups of trained rats was decreased significantly. (5.883+0.12 um and 6.050?0.12 um to 6.564?0.17 um). This means myocardium mitochondria in trained rats were swelling. The reason might be that the myocardium injury was induced by exercise training.

Objective:To detect the value of utilizing bpMRI in prostate biopsy in the detection of prostate cancer with PSA≤20ng/ml.Methods:The clinical data of 394 patients who underwent prostate biopsy in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from November 2017 to October 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. Of all the patients, 177 underwent modified systematic biopsy, named TRUS group, 217 patients accepted pre-biopsy bpMRI examination, undergoing modified systematic biopsy if Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) score < 3 or MRI-TRUS cognitive fusion targeted prostate + systematic biopsy if PI-RADS score ≥ 3, named MRI group. The median age of TRUS group was 66 (61, 74) years old, prostate specific antigen (PSA) was 9.52 (7.26, 12.30) ng / ml, and prostate volume (PV) was 36.84 (28.95, 57.72)ml. The median age of MRI group was 66 (59, 72) years old, PSA was 8.84 (6.65, 12.16) ng/ml, and PV was 39.45 (29.25, 58.69)ml. There was no difference in above parameters between the two groups. The χ 2 test was used to compare the detection rate of prostate cancer and clinically significant prostate cancer (CsPCa) between the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in the detection rates of prostate cancer between TRUS group and MRI group [51.41% (91/177) vs. 48.39% (105/ 217), P = 0.550], but the detection rates of CsPCa were significantly different [26.55% (47/177) vs. 36.41% (79/217), P = 0.037]. In patients with PSA ≤ 10 ng / ml, there was no significant difference in the detection rates of prostate cancer between the two groups [43.62% (41/94) vs. 43.08% (56/130), P = 0.936], but there was a significant difference in the detection rates of CsPCa [17.02% (16/94) vs. 28.46% (37/130), P = 0.047]. There was no significant difference in the detection rates of prostate cancer [60.24% (50/83) and 56.17% (48/87), P= 0.504] and the detection rates of CsPCa [37.35% (31/83) vs. 48.28% (42/87), P = 0.150] between the two groups. The total detection rates of the last two needles in TRUS group and MRI group were 23.16% (41/177) and 36.63% (86/217), respectively, with significant difference ( P=0.001); the detection rates of CsPCa in the last two needles were 11.86% (26/177) and 29.03% (63/ 217), respectively, with significant difference ( P < 0.001). In MRI group, the detection rates of prostate cancer in patients with PI-RADS score <3, 3, 4, 5 were 21.21% (7/33), 25.84% (23/89), 73.24% (52/71), 95.83% (23/24), respectively; the detection rates of CsPCa were 12.12% (4/33), 17.98% (16/89), 54.93% (39/71), 83.33% (23/24), respectively. Conclusions:In patients with PSA ≤ 20 ng / ml, prostate biopsy based on bpMRI may improve the detection of CsPCa, especially in patients with PSA ≤ 10 ng/ml.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(23):4664-4668
The role of pulchinenoside (PULC) in the regulation of MeCP2 expression was investigated in RA model rats. Adjuvant arthritis rats were used as RA model rats, and fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS) from the RA model rats were cultured. The effect of 100 mg x kg(-1) PULC gavage treatment on the MeCP2 expression and the effect of MeCP2 siRNA on the expression of SFRP2 and β-catenin were detected by real time qPCR and Western blotting. The role of PULC in the FLS proliferation was detected by MTT. The results showed that the MeCP2 expression was down-regulated, the SFRP2 expression was up-regulated and the FLS proliferation was inhibited in FLS after therapy. MeCP2 siRNA significantly inhibited the MeCP2 expression, up-regulated the SFRP2 expression and inhibited the β-catenin expression in FLS from RA model rats. PULC may increase the SFRP2 expression, inhibit the Wnt signaling and inhibit the FLS proliferation in FLS from the RA model rats by inhibiting the MeCP2 expression.

To study the effect of pulchinenoside (PULC) on the Frizzled (FZD) expression of adjuvant arthritis ( AA) rats. AA rats were prepared through the toe injection with complete Freund's adjuvant to culture fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS). The effect of the oral administration with PULC on the FZD8 expression was detected by the real time qPCR. The effect of FZD8 knockout on the expressions of IL-1, IL-6, IL-8 were detected by MTT and ELISA. The role of miR-375 in the abnomal expression of FZD8 was detected by the real time qPCR. The results showed signfiicant decrease in the FZD8 expression among AA rats, FLS proliferation ater FZD8 knockout and IL-1, IL-6, IL-8 expressions and notable increase in miR-375 expression after the oral administration with PULC. The up-regulated miR-375 expression can inhibit the FZD8 expression. PULC may inhibit the FZD8 expression by up-regulating the miR-375 expression.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2015;(8):615-618
Objective To assess the value of susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) in staging hepatic fibrosis (HF) in rabbits. Methods Sixty healthy rabbits were randomly divided into HF group (n=44), control group (n=16). Rabbits in the HF group and supplementary group were injected subcutaneously with 50%CCl4 oily solution to establish hepatic fibrosis model. On the basis of preliminary test, 8 rabbits in the HF group and 4 rabbits in the control group were selected randomly at the 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th week after CCL4 injection ,respectively , to undergo liver MR scan, including conventional axial T1WI, T2WI and axial SWI, DWI scan. All rabbits were sacrificed after MR scan and the tissue of liver were sampled for pathological test and hepatic fibrosis staging. Rabbits were classified into group F0, F1-2 and F3-4 based on pathological results. Liver signal intensity (SI), and liver-to-muscle SI ratio were measured on SWI images and ADC values were measured on DWI images correspondently. One-way ANOVA analysis was performed to compare difference in liver SI, liver-to-muscle SI ratio and ADC values among group F0 (no fibrosis), F1-2 (mild-moderate fibrosis) and F3-4 (severe fibrosis) . Spearman correlation analysis was performed to correlate pathological staging and liver SI, liver-to-muscle SI ratio and ADC values. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was performed to compare the diagnostic performance of SWI and DWI for staging HF. Results Two and 5 rabbits in the HF group died at the 5th and the 6th week after CCL4 injection , respectively due to acute hepatic necrosis, hepatorrhexis and systemic failure. Seven rabbits in supplementary group were used as supplement. Of the 16 rabbits in the control group, 1 was excluded from the study due to liver fibrosis. Fifteen rabbits in group F0, sixteen rabbits in group F1-2 and sixteen rabbits in group F3-4 underwent MRI and were included into this study. Liver-to-muscle SI ratio in group F0, F1-2 and F3-4 were 0.973 ± 0.020, 0.880 ± 0.090 and 0.649 ± 0.140, respectively. Liver SI were 378 ± 45, 374 ± 19 and 317 ± 34. ADC values were (1.473 ± 0.320) × 10-3, (1.311 ± 0.310) × 10-3 and (0.942 ± 0.180) × 10-3mm2/s. There were statistically significant differences in liver SI, liver-to-muscle SI ratio and ADC values among group F0, F1-2 and F3-4 (F=46.571,15.803 and 15.317, P< 0.01). Liver-to-muscle SI ratio was highly negatively correlated with HF staging (r=-0.818,P<0.01), while liver SI and ADC values were moderately correlated with HF staging (r=-0.565,-0.630;P<0.01). Area under ROC curve (AUC) of liver-to-muscle SI ratio, liver SI and ADC value for differentiating hepatic fibrosis stage F0 and stage F1-4 were 0.916, 0.695 and 0.768, while the AUC for differentiating hepatic fibrosis stage F0-2 and stage F3-4 were 0.951, 0.904 and 0.900. Conclusion Liver-to-muscle SI ratio on SWI provide added diagnostic value and could be an useful parameter for staging hepatic fibrosis.

The study is aimed to distinguish morphological characteristics of Dalbergiae Lignum collected from crude drug's markets and establish a identification methods and the quality standard for Dalbergiae Lignum. The macroscopic and microscopic features of Dalbergiae Lignum from crude drug's market were observed, analyzed and compared according to Hongmu specification issued by the People's Republic of China in 2000, and by the characteristics recorded in domestic monograph of Mucai Shibie (wood identification). The redwood of Dalbergiae Lignum cut into small pieces as medicinal material are dry heart wood of mahogany (trees from Dalbergia sp.), which characteristics of the small pieces as crude drug are different. There are differences in macroscopic and microscopic features about texture of wood and color, odor, taste, transverse section, radial section, tangential section. The results can provide basis for identification, application and improment of the quality standard of Dalbergiae Lignum as medicinal material.
