Objective To study the effect of Gadd genes expression in surveillance of DNA damage. Methods The human liver tumor cells were treated with alkylating agent(nitrogen mustard) and total RNA was extracted, the expression levels of Gadd genes were determined by RT-PCR. Results Treated with 1 ng/?l nitrogen mustard for 3 h, 24 h, 48 h respectively and with 1 ng/?l, 5 ng/?l nitrogen mustard for 24 h respectively, the expression levels of Gadd genes increased at first (P0.05). Conclusion Gadd genes expression can be used as the indexes in the surveillance of DNA damage induced by nitrogen mustard.

Objective To estimate quantitatively the relationship between female lung cancer and cooking oil fume (COF)?Methods Meta-analysis was employed to estimate the relationship between COF and non-smoking female lung cancer based on8relevant epidemiological articles publisked at home and abroad?Fixed Effect Model Analysis was used to calculate the incorporated odds ratio(OR c )based on homogeneity test.Results The OR c for female lung cancer associated with COF was2.94(95%CI =2.43~3.56)with statistical significance(? 2 =120.64,P

International Eye Science 2014;(10):1770-1772
AIM: To identify the changes in microRNA ( miRNA ) profile of human lens epithelium ( HLE) induced by H2 O2 and the role of miRNA in oxidative stress induced apoptosis.
METHODS: HLE cell line HLE - B3 was treated by 100μmol/L H2 O2 for 24h and the total RNA were isolated by Trizol reagent. miRNA profile was generated by miRCURYTM LNA microRNA Array. The target genes of differentially expressed miRNAs were predicted by bioinformatics software.
RESULTS:Twenty-eight miRNAs showed significantly differential expression after H2 O2 treatment, 18 miRNAs upregulated and 10 miRNAs downregulated. The differentially expressed miRNAs may involve in apoptosis of lens epithetium and development of cataract through targeting BCL2L2 and MIP.
CONCLUSION: H2 O2 can induce dramatically changes in miRNA profile of HLE, which may play a pivotal role in the pathogenesis and development of cataract.

5.COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF NUMERICAL TAXONOMY AND 16S rDNA PCR-RFLP OF FAST-GROWING RHIZOBIA ISOLATED FROM WESTERN CHINA
Feng-Ling KAN ; Wen-Xin CHEN ;
Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
strains of fast-growing rhizobia isolated from Chinas western (mainly from Qinghai province),and 4 representative strains were compared by performing numerical taxonomy. 132 phenotypic characteristics were analyzed. The results of numerical taxonomy constructed a dendrogram. It shows that all the strains examined clustered into five phena at a similarity level of 79%. 16S rDNA PCR-RFLP were applied to 57 rhizobial strains (among the 61 strains) and 10 reference strains. The 16S rDNA-RFLP analysis described 20 different genotypic characteristics and form one dendrogram. For some large groups, the results of 16S rDNA-RFLP were agreement with that of numerical analysis of phenotypic characteristics.

Objective To report the surgical technique and preliminary clinical results of bilateral decompression under microscope via unilateral approach for the treatment of lumbar stenosis. Methods Sixteen eases of lumbar stenosis were treated in our institute. For the surgical treatment, only one side paraspinous muscle was dissected. The upper and lower margins of the adjacent laminae were drilled, and the underlying ligament flavum was exposed. By changing the direction of the microscopy, the base of the spinous process and the internal side of the contralateral laminae were also drilled off till the lateral recess. Finally, decompression of the spinal canal was achieved by removing the ligament llavum. Results Follow-up ranged from 6 to 47 months. Intermittent claudication was totally relieved in 14 out of 16 cases, and markedly relieved in 2 cases. Back pain was relieved totally in 6 cases, marked improved in 8 cases, not change in 2 cases. Pain was significantly relieved in all 5 cases with sciatica, among them, diseetomy had to be performed in 3 cases. During follow-up, there was no symptom recurrence, and dynamic X ray did not show lumbar in-stability. Conclusion Bilateral decompression under microscope via unilateral approach for the treatment of lumbar stenosis is minimally invasive surgery, the effect of the operation is good. The technique has little in-fluence on spinal stability.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2006;0(07):-
It is very important to train junior doctors'clinical skills,especially surgical skills.Operation protocol presentations before each surgical procedure provide good opportunities for them to learn these skills,and at same time,this presentation ensures a better surgical outcome as well.Each presentation is prepared under the direction of a senior doctor.A protocol is composed of the patient medical history,physical examination,accessory check up reports,diagnosis and surgical procedure.It is not only a good method for the young doctors to learn but also for their teachers to teach each student individually.

Virologica Sinica 2007;22(6):486-492
The need for an efficacious HIV/AIDS vaccine remains the highest priority of the world HIV/AIDS agenda. The generation of an efficacious HIV/AIDS vaccine proves an enormous scientific challenge. This article reviews the neutralizing antibody problem, elusive immune protection, immunogen design, pre-existing anti-vector immunity and design of phase 3 vaccine trials and the challenges and opportunities in development of HIV/AIDS vaccine are discussed.
