Objective To explore the incidence, features and outcomes of in-hospital sudden cardiac death (SCD) in order to determine the predictors of survival. Methods The clinical data of 69 patients with cardiac arrest hospitalized from January 2008 through December 2010 were retrospectively analyzed.Information on genders, age, types of arrhythmia was collected and further analyzed to determine these factors associated with the occurrence and outcomes of in-hospital cardiac arrest. Results The overall incidence of SCD was 47.3 / 100 000 per year and 17.4% of them.survived at discharge. The occurrence rate was higher in male than that in female (66.7% vs.33.3%,P <0.01 ),whereas difference in gender did not affect the discharge rate ( P > 0.05 ). Survivors from in-hospital cardiac arrest were significantly younger than non-survivors (man:62.57 ± 12.83 years vs.75.56 ± 10.55 years; women:60.36 ± 13.24years vs.69.53 ± 11.72 years,P < O.01 ).From 62 ECG records of SCD patients, the incidence of nonshockable rhythms was higher than that of shockable rhythms.Compare to the non-shockable rhythms, the shockable rhythms brought a higher rate of restoration of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) (54.5% vs.24.5%,P <0.05),whereas survival rates at discharge between two groups were not statistically different ( 18.2% vs.18.4%,P > 0.05 ).Conclusions Non-shockable rhythms were more common in patients suffering from in-hospital cardiac arrest.Although defibrillation treatment contributed benefit to ROSC among patients with ventricular fibrillation or pulseless ventricular tachycardia,high-quality CPR and post-cardiac arrest care may play a more critical role in the outcomes of in-hospital sudden cardiac death.

Object To analyze the rDNA ITS sequences between wi ld plants and cultivars of Trapa L. and study the utility in p hylogenesis and identification of these two groups. Methods The ITS gene fragments were PCR amplified and sequenced. The rDNA ITS regions w ere analyzed by means of the software of Clustal and Mega 2.0. Result s The rDNA sequences of 234-236 bp ITS1, 220-221 bp ITS2 gene fragment , and 5.8 S rDNA for 164 bp evenly were obtained from ten populations of Trapa L. The intraspecific substitution varies from 0.22% to 2. 94%. The variable sites are 16 while informative sites are six. The phylogenet ic tree based on ITS data was set up by NJ method. Conclusion ITS sequence is a pretty good molecular marker which can identify wild plants of Trapa L. from their cultivars. Diversity of ITS in differen t populations is less at intraspecific level. It is infered that the plants of Trapa L. may be derived from the same population of one species .

The NSP2 gene of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV)S1 strain was partly amplified and cloned into a prokaryotic expression vector pGEX-6P-1 and a fusion protein GST-tNSP2 with molecular weight of 50 kDa was expressed in E.coli. The purified GST-tNSP2 protein showed a strong reaction with the PRRSV-positive sera in Western blot assay. Balb/c mice were immunized with the purified protein, and the splenocytes of the immunized mice were fused with murine myeloma cells SP2/0. After subcloning by 3 times, two hybridoma clones which produced McAbs steadily were screened by ELISA, named 3H3 and 2B5. They all reacted strongly with the PRRSV S1 infected Marc-145 cells in IFA, but not with the PRRSV SY0608 strain. Both of the McAbs belong to IgG1 isotype, and their light chains belong ? type. The expressed GST-tNSP2 protein and McAbs could be used for identification of PRRSV isolates and functional analysis of NSP2.

Objective To explore the function of infliximab in inducing remission in Crohn's disease and the effect of the inducing remission were followed up. Methods Ten patients with Crohn's disease received a infliximab, 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) and Azathioprine (AZA) therapy for inducing and maintenance remission. Crohn' s disease activity index (CDAI), C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), apartate aminotransferase, (AST), total bilirubin (TBil), conjugated bilirubin, (CB), creatinine (Scr) were evaluated at week 0, 10, 22 and 50. Simple endoscopic score for Crohn's disease (SES-CD) were evaluated at week 0, 10 and 50. Adverse reactions were also evaluated. Results At week 10, all patients achieved remission. The indicators of CDAI, CRP, ESR and SES-CD were significantly declined than those at week 0 (P<0.01). The follow-up was terminated in one patient due to the relapse at week 30. At week 50, the indicators of CDAI, CRP, ESR and SES-CD in six patients a little bit increased compared with those at week 10, but no statistic significant (P=0. 2001、0. 0600、0. 1328、0. 4230 respectively), but significantly declined compared with those at week 0 (P =0.0005、0.0087、0.0054、0. 0163 respectively). No severe adverse reaction was observed in all patients. Conclusions Infliximab showed an exact efficacy in inducing remission in Crohn's disease. And 5-ASA and AZA were effective for maintenance remission in part of the patients after infliximab induced remission.
