Flocculation of fermented broth with 1,3 -propanediol using component B of natural clarifier-Ⅱ was studied. Firstly, single factor tests and orthogonal tests were carried out. The results showed the main factors which influenced the flocculation and the optimal conditions were: pH6.0, flocculant B 0.01g/L , NaCl 0g/L, and the FR was 95.97% . The following results by filtration experiments, compared with the sample without pretreatment, indicated that the filtration speed of the flocculated sample was improved dramatically, and the weights of net and dry filter cakes were increased by 41.13% and 51.88% , respectively. Electrodialysis experiments showed that flocculation could accelerate desalting process, and could take the place of centrifugal pretreatment when it combined with the filtration.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect on the expression of NF-kappaBp65 of osteoblast-like cell under stretch load with the same amplitude but different daily loading times. The osteoblast-like cells MG-63 were passage cultured and stretched by the four-point-bend loading device; based on the daily loading times, the osteoblast-like cells were randomly divided into four groups. The first was the control, the others were stretched with mechanical tension with the same amplitude of 2,000 mu strain and at the same frequency of 0.5 Hz., but the daily loading times were 1 time/d, 2 times/d, 4 times/d differently for each group, the periods of mechanical tension applied to the cells of the three groups were all 60 min/d and lasted for 2d total. After the cells being streteched, the expression levels of NF-kappaBp65 of the osteoblast-like cells of the three groups and control group were investigated by using the techniques of immunohistochemistry, and were compared with each other. The results showed that the positive expression ratios of the four groups were different significantly; the positive expression ratio of the control was lower than those of the other three groups; the positive expression ratio of the 4 times/d group was higher than those of the other two stretched groups; the positive expression ratio of the 2 times/d group was higher than that of the 1 time/d group. The results suggested that when the osteoblast-like cell was under the stretch load with different daily loading times but the same amplitude, the expression ratio of NF-kappaBp65 in the cell increased with the rising of the stimulating times. It means that the mechanical strain with high daily loading times could promote the transcriptional level of osteoblast-like cell more effectively.

AIM:To investigate the role of minocycline on glutamate uptake in the periventricular zone and its putative mechanism after hypoxic exposure in neonatal rats.METHODS: A model of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD) was developed by putting postnatal 1 d rat pups in 5%O2 for 3.5 h.The glutamate level in periventricular zone was measured by liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry assay ( LC-MS/MS) after hypoxic exposure for 4 h and 1 d.The dynamic changes of glutamate transporters EAAT1, and EAAT2 during developmental period in periventricular zone were determined by Western blot. Moreover, the expression of EAAT1, EAAT2, Iba-1, IL-1β, TNF-αand TGF-β1 was also detected by Western blot after hypoxic exposure for 4 h and 1 d in that region. The effects of mino-cycline on all parameters mentioned above were tested after minocycline treatment at the same time points and in the same region.RESULTS:After hypoxic exposure, glutamate level was increased, but it was decreased after minocycline treat-ment.EAAT1 and EAAT2 kept a low expression level at the first postnatal week, but a predominant elevation was found at the end of the second postnatal week. The expression of EAAT1, EAAT2, Iba-1, IL-1βand TGF-β1 was increased at 1 d after hypoxic exposure.EAAT1 and TNF-αexpression was significantly up-regulated, while EAAT2 was down-regulated af-ter minocycline treatment.CONCLUSION: Minocycline inhibits the increase in the glutamate level after hypoxia in periventricular region of the neonatal rats. The mechanism may relate to the selective regulation of glutamate transporters, rather than the inhibition of neuroinflammation in periventricular zone.

Objective To explore the clinical features and feasibility of renal transplantation for end-stage renal disease (ESRD) following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).Method A retrospective study was done in one case of renal transplantation for ERSD following HSCT.Clinical manifestations were summarized and prognosis was described. The 22-year-old male recipient had received HLA allele matched related bone marrow transplantation from his sister in 2001 and accepted renal transplantation 14 years after HSCT because of delayed renal dysfunction.Donor was a cardiac death patient, the preoperative Panel Reactive Antibody Testing was negative and there were 1.5 HLA antigen mismatches of 6 HLA-A,B,DR antigens of donor and recipient. The recipient received immunosuppressive therapy of tacrolimus + mycophenolate mofetil + steroid after renal transplantation.Result The patient's renal function remained stable and serum creatinine level was 65 μmol/L.The outcome of the patient was fairly good during the follow-up period of short-term.Conclusion Renal transplant is a feasible alternative for patients with ESRD following HSCT.If the transplanted kidney and abbr.hematopoietic stem cells are from different donors, irnmunosuppressive treatment is essential after renal transplantation.Long-term follow-up and adjustment of immunosuppression treatment are needed to prevent and treat postoperative complications.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(5):437-443
Background Nowadays, customized ablation is widely used in the excimer laser corneal refractive Burgery. And the Q-value guide LASIK is one of the research hotspots. Objective Present study was to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of Q-value guide LASIK and standardized LASIK for myopia. Methods A systematic literature retrieval from 2003 through 2010 was conducted in the MEDLINE,CNKI,Cochrane Library,EMBASE.The literature examine possible difierences in uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA),Q-value,higher order aberrations(HOAs),and spherical equivalent(SE) between Q-value guide LASIK and standardized LASIK for correcting myopia.Statistical analysis was performed using a Review Manager 5.0 software. The data was extracted, and the methodological quality was evaluated by two reviewers independently. The quality of included literature was scored according to the Jadad Scale. Results A total of 14 studies involving 1617 patients(2956 eyes)was included in the meta-analysis.Of these fourteen studies, six studies were randomized trials and the other eight studies were retrospective cohort studies.According to the Jadad Scale,2 studies scored 3 points, and the other 12 studies scored 1~2 points. The results showed that the Q-value guide LASIK group had a better postoperative effectiveness in uncorrective visual acuity(UCVA)(WMD=0.04.95% CI 0.00 to 0.08,P<0.05).Q-value(SMD=-1.52,95% CI -2.23 to-0.81,P=0.00),total HOAs (SMD=-1.63,95% CI-2.57 to-0.69,P<0.05) and spherical-like aberrations ( SMD =-1.49,95% CI-2.22 to-0. 76,P<0. 00) after surgery. However, the number of eyes achieved UCVA≥20/20 ( OR= 1.16,95% CI 0. 61 to 2. 19,P=0. 65) ,coma-like aberrations (SMD=-1. 02,95% CI-0. 36to 0.11,P=0.29) and SE (WMD=0.10,95% CI-0.11 to 0.31,P=0.34) after surgery were comparable. Conclusion The effectiveness of Q-value guide LASIK is superior to standardized LASIK for treatment of myopia.High-quality clinical randomized-controlled study should be performed to further evaluate the comparable outcome of Q-value guide LASIK with standard LASIK.
