Objective To study the changes in the expressions of CXCR4 of leucocytes as modulated by erythrocytes from cord blood. Methods 0.2ml suspension of whole blood cells (or 0.2ml suspension of leucocytes) was added to 0.3ml of auto plasma, and 0.2ml suspension of S180 (5?10~6/ml) was added as stimuli. The suspension was incubated at 37 ℃ for 1 hour. Normal saline instead of S180 was used as control The expression changes in CD35 on erythrocytes and CXCR4 on leucocytes were determined with flow cytometry assay. The data could be grouped under four heads: (1) cancer cells 0.2ml were added to whole blood cells 0.2ml and plasma 0.3ml; (2) NS 0.2ml were added to whole blood cells 0.2ml and plasma 0.3ml; (3) cancer cells 0.2ml were added to white blood cells 0.2ml and plasma 0.3ml; (4) NS 0.2ml were added to white blood cells and plasma 0.3ml. Results When activated by S180, the expression of CD35 on cord erythrocytes was decline not so low as that of adult′; while the expression of CXCR4 on cord leucocytes was increased not so high as that of adults′. Objective: To understand the epidemiological characteristics of the norovirus epidemics in Haidian District, Beijing Municipality from 2015 to 2022, so as to provide insights into epidemic prevention and control. Methods: The epidemiological characteristics, case data, and laboratory testing of norovirus epidemics were collected in Haidian District from 2015 to 2022, and the temporal distribution, spatial distribution, population distribution, and norovirus detection were analyzed using a descriptive epidemiological method. Results: A total of 208 norovirus epidemics involving 3 530 cases were reported in Haidian District from 2015 to 2022, with a median attack rate of 25.00% (interquartile range, 18.35%). The main pathogens detected were type GⅡ, accounting for 87.98% (183 cases), and the main transmission mode was interpersonal transmission, accounting for 93.27% (194 cases). Norovirus epidemics peaked from March to June and October to December, accounting for 44.71% (93 epidemics) and 44.23% (92 epidemics), and predominantly occurred in schools and preschool institutions, accounting for 51.92% (108 epidemics) and 40.38% (84 epidemics). The median age of norovirus infected cases was 8 (interquartile range, 13) years. There were 1 920 males and 1 610 females, with a ratio of 1.19︰1. The positive rates of case specimens, key population specimens and environment smeared specimens in epidemic units were 74.32%, 13.91% and 5.86%, respectively. Conclusions The norovirus epidemics in Haidian District from 2015 to 2022 was mainly caused by type GⅡ and spread from person to person. The epidemics peaked in winter and spring, and schools and preschool institutions were the key units of prevention and control.

BACKGROUND: With the rapid development of surgical techniques, unicompartmental knee arthroplasty has become an issue of concern in the treatment of osteoarthritis, which has achieved significant progress inreducing trauma and rapid rehabilitation.OBJECTIVE: To summarize the development history, curative effect of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, and the research progress of lateral unicompartmental knee arthroplasty aided with computer navigation or robot system, thus providing reference for further study on unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.METHODS: Web of Science, and PubMed databases were searched for the literatures published from January 1955 to April 2017 with the keywords of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, osteoarthritis, unilateral compartment, lateral knee arthroplasty.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 562 articles were retrieved, and finally 75 English literatures were enrolled according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. With the continuous improvement of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, it can retain the cruciate ligament and more bone mass. Notably, strict indications and reasonable postoperative functional exercise are essential for obtaining optimal effectiveness. At the same time, the development of computer navigation and robot-assisted technology has opened up a new horizon for the treatment of osteoarthritis,which makes the operation more accurate and minimally invasive. Objective To discuss the 3D printing modeling used to assist minimally invasive fixation with hollow screws for unstable pelvic fractures.Methods From January 2014 to January 2016,137 patients with unstable pelvic fracture received minimally invasive fixation with hollow screws and obtained complete follow-up at our department.In 65 of them,the fixation was assisted by 3D printing modeling;they were 37 men and 28 women,with an average age of 33.1 ± 4.9 years.In the other 72 cases,conventional fixation was performed without assistance of 3D printing modeling;they were 45 men and 27 women,with an average age of 32.6 ±4.7 years.The 2 groups were compared in terms of operation time,frequency of intraoperative fluoroscopy,reduction quality and curative effect.Results This cohort were followed up for 6 to 15 months (average,9 months).The 3D printing modeling group needed significantly less operation time (58.6 ± 13.4 min) and intraoperative fluoroscopy (29.3 ± 3.6 frequencies) than the conventional group (72.4 ± 12.4 min and 36.6 ± 2.8 frequencies) (P ＜ 0.05).According to the Matta scoring criteria,the quality of pelvic reduction was evaluated as excellent in 21 cases,as good in 30 cases,as fair in 13 cases and as poor in one in the 3D printing group,yielding an excellent and good rate of 78.5％ while as excellent in 22 cases,as good in 36 cases,as fair in 12 cases and as poor in 2 cases in the conventional group,yielding an excellent and good rate of 80.6％.According to the Majeed scoring criteria,the curative effect was evaluated at the last follow-up as excellent in 27 cases,as good in 26 cases,as fair in 11 cases and poor in one in the 3D printing group,giving an excellent and good rate of 81.5％ while as excellent in 30 cases,as good in 28 cases,as fair in 13 cases and as poor in one in the conventional group,giving an excellent and good rate of 80.6％.There were no statistically significant differences between the 2 groups in reduction quality or curative effect (P ＞ 0.05).No nonunion or iatrogenic neurovascular lesions happened during the follow-up period.Conclusion 3D-printing modeling is helpful for a good reduction and minimally invasive fixation with hollow screws for unstable pelvic fractures by reducing operation time and intraoperative fluoroscopy.

OBJECTIVETo observe the efficacy on primary osteoporosis treated with spreading moxibustion for warming yang and activating blood circulation so as to provide the effective clinical therapeutic methods for osteoporosis.

METHODSSixty cases of primary osteoporosis were randomized into a spreading moxibustion group (30 cases) and a calcium tablet group (30 cases). In the calcium tablet group, caltrate was prescribed for oral administration, 600 mg per day. In the spreading moxibustion group, on the basis of the treatment as the calcium tablet group, the spreading moxibustion was applied at Dazhui (GV 14) to Yaoshu (GV 2) for warming yang and activating blood circulation. The duration of treatment was 12 weeks. Visual analogue scale (VAS) score, TCM clinical symptom score and bone mineral density (BMD) were observed and compared before and after treatment in the patients between the two groups.

RESULTSVAS scores were reduced apparently after treatment in the two groups (both P < 0.01) and the results in the spreading moxibustion group were obviously superior to that in the calcium tablet group (2.36 +/- 0.43 vs 4.52 +/- 0.35, P < 0.01). BMD were all increased in the two groups (P < 0.05, P < 0.01) and the results in the spreading moxibustion group were superior to those in the calcium tablet group (both P < 0.05). The total clinical effective rate was 86.67% (26/30) in the spreading moxibustion group, apparently better than 63.33% (19/30) in the calcium tablet group (P < 0.05). TCM clinical symptom scores after treatment were all reduced apparently in the two groups (both P < 0.01), and the result in the spreading moxibustion group was obviously superior to that in the calcium tablet group (4.72 +/- 1.90 vs 6.82 +/- 2.30, P < 0.01). The total effective rate of TCM symptoms was 93.33% (28/30) in the spreading moxibustion group, apparently better than 70.00% (21/30) in the calcium tablet group (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe combined therapy of spreading moxibustion for warming yang and activating blood circulation and the oral administration of caltrate apparently relieves pain and TCM clinical symptoms, improves BMD in the patients of osteoporosis and achieves definite clinical efficacy in the patients of osteoporosis.

OBJECTIVE: To determine the allelic frequency distribution and genetic parameters of nine non-CODIS DNA index systems of the short tandem repeat (STR) loci (D2S1772, D6S1043, D7S3048, D8S1132, D11S2368, D12S391, D13S325, D18S1364, and GATA198B05). METHODS: A total of 353 blood samples were collected, extracted, amplified, and analyzed from unrelated healthy individuals of Han nationality in Hunan Province, China. RESULTS: One hundred and fourteen alleles were observed in the population with corresponding allelic frequencies ranged from 0.001 0 to 0.323 0. For all the nine non-CODIS STR loci, the observed genotypic data showed no significant deviations from the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The Ho, He, PIC, DP, and PE of the studied non-CODIS STR loci ranged from 0.1080 to 0.1950, 0.8050 to 0.8920, 0.7700 to 0.8600, 0.9250 to 0.9660 and 0.6070 to 0.7800, respectively. CONCLUSION Nine non-CODIS STR loci have high degrees of polymorphisms, which may be useful in individual forensic identification and parentage testing in forensic practice.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the therapeutic effect of Longjintonglin Capsules on type IIIA prostatitis accompanied by abnormal semen liquefaction.

METHODSWe selected 140 patients with type IIIA prostatitis accompanied by abnormal semen liquefaction according to the diagnostic standards of the American Institutes of Health (NIH) and treated them with Longjintonglin Capsules orally 3 capsules once tid for 12 weeks. We obtained the NIH Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Indexes (NIH-CPSI), traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores, leukocyte count in the expressed prostatic secretion (EPS), semen liquefaction time, and the results of semen analysis and compared these indicators before and after the treatment.

RESULTSOf the 140 cases, 132 were included in this study, excluding 8 due to their incomplete case histories. Before and after 4, 8 and 12 weeks of medication, the total NIH-CPSI scores were 24.52 ± 5.43, 21.28 ± 4.85, 18.01 ± 4.28, and 14.49 ± 3.65 (P < 0.01), the TCM syndrome scores were 35.63 ± 6.07, 26.66 ± 5.03, 17.37 ± 4.18, and 11.11 ± 3.96 (P < 0.01), and the leukocyte counts (/HP) were 27.50 ± 7.01, 22.38 ± 5.22, 16:76 ± 4.10, and 11.40 ± 4.74 (P < 0.01), respectively. After 12 weeks of treatment, 31 of the patients with type IIIA prostatitis were cured and another 72 well responded, with an overall response rate of 78.0%. Of those with abnormal semen liquefaction, 61 were cured, 39 well responded, and 32 failed to respond, with an overall effectiveness rate of 75.8%. Semen analysis showed significantly increased percentage of progressively motile sperm after 4, 8 and 12 weeks of medication as compared with the baseline (P < 0.01). No abnormal liver or renal function or other adverse reactions were observed during the treatment.

CONCLUSIONLongjintonglin Capsules, with its advantages of safety, effectiveness and no obvious adverse effects, deserve to be recommended for the treatment of type IIIA prostatitis accompanied by abnormal semen liquefaction.
