Objective To study the effect of omethoate on the activity of characteristic enzymes in mouse testicles and the antagonism of teapolyphenol. Methods 80 Kunming male mice were divided into 8 groups, omethoate was given by gavage: the control group given 0.9% NaCl solution, a group given teapolyphenol of 180 mg/kg bw, three groups given omethoate of 1, 2 and 4 mg/kg bw respectively, three groups given teapolyphenol of 180 mg/kg bw and two hours later followed by omethoate of 1, 2 and 4 mg/kg bw respectively. The gavages were conducted for 6 consecutive days. The activities of the characteristic enzymes (AKP, ACP, LDH and LDH-x) in mouse testicles were measured by biochemistry method and variance analysis was done with the SPSS 11.0 software. Results As omethoate dose increased, the body weight and the testicle weight decreased obviously, the activities of AKP, ACP, LDH in mouse testicles significantly increased compared with the control. Given teapolyphenol 2 hours before given omethoate, the significant changes as above did not emerged. Conclusion Teapolyphenol has an antagonism against the adverse effects of omethoate on the activity of characteristic enzymes in mouse testicles.

OBJECTIVE:To probe into the integrity of package insert for 75 kinds of commonly used antiinfective agents for injection in our hospital and to provide reference for rational use of antiinfective agents for injection. METHODS:According to Drug Description Specification and Management Regulation for Drug Description and Label,the terms included in package insert for antiinfective agents for injection were analyzed statistically. RESULTS:The package inserts for 75 kinds of antiinfective agents for injection were enrolled. The proportion of integral items were high while that of some terms related to clinic were low such as dosage and usage,medication for children,over dosage and skin test. The descriptions of PK,pharmacology,toxicdogy, ADR,et al. were very simple and different. CONCLUSION:It is suggested that items about over dosage and medication for special population should be detailed as well as usage so that package insert can guide rational use of drugs in the clinic.

Effect of ginsenoside total saponin (GTS) on the regulation of P450 of livers of rats after γ-ray irradiation was studied. Rats were irradiated by the ⁶⁰Coγ-ray for one-time dose of 5.5 Gy, dose rate of 117.1-119.2 cGy. The cocktail probe, qPCR and Western blot were used to detect expression of enzymatic activites, mRNA and protein of rats. Contrasted with blank group, expression of CYP1A2, 2B1, 2E1, 3A4 of irradiation group showed a up-regulated (P < 0.05). Contrasted with irradiation group, exprression of CYP1A2, 2B1, 2E1, 3A4 of GTS group showed a downward trend. GTS had negative agonistic action against expression of P450 of rats by irradiatied.

BACKGROUND: It is now know that the clinical presentations of subcortical arterioselerotic encephalopathy(SAE) could be mainly manifested by hypertension,stroke and chronic developed dementia,but there are very a few explorations on its definite pathogenesis and earlier assessment.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the correlation of CT classification of SAE with intellectual and neuropsycholohical disturbance,so as to explore the significance of CT classification of SAE to the assessment of SAE.DESIGN: Clinical case analysis based on patients.SETTING: A department of internal medicine in a military general hospital of Chinese PLA.PARTICIPANTS: From January 1999 to December 2002,totally 68 elders Guangzhou Military Area Command of Chinese PLA,included 65 males and 3 females,aged from 64 to 93 years old with the average age of(75. 8 ± 8. 1 )years old took part in the study.METHODS: Low-density focus around ventricle were observed with skull CT scanning and classified according to GOTO classification. Meanwhile the intellectual test and neuropsycholohical test were carried out,and the correlative analysis was conducted.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Intellectual test,neuropsycholohical test,skull CT scanning,and analysis of correlation of CT classification with scores of intellectual test and neuropsycholohical test.RESULTS: Of 68 patients,91% (62/68) was proved to have different degree intellectual obstacle,100% was found to be vascular dementia; and low-density focus around ventricle were proved to be existed in all patients with skull CT scanning,GOTO classification indicated that type Ⅰ was found in 22 patients,type Ⅱ in 32 patients and type Ⅲ in 14 patients; skull CT classification was negatively correlated with the scores of intellectual test and positively correlated with scores of neuropsychiological test,with the correlative coefficient of -0. 83 and 0.75 respectively( P ＜ 0.01 ).CONCLUSION: GOTO classification of skull CT of SAE is related to intellectual obstacle and neuropsychiological disturbance in elder SAE.

Perforator stroke(PS)is one of peri-procedural complications associated with stenting of intracranial arterial stenosis.A lot of perforator arteries are derived from intracranial arteries with difference from coronary arteries,because once the intracranial perforator arteries of crucial regions are occluded,may lead to fatal prognosis.Three hypothesis have been used to explain PS including snow-plowing,stent jailing effect and in-stent neointimal growth.In vivo models,investigators have already found these phenomenas.After much attention been paid on PS,authors have published a report covered with a large amount of cases in 2006. The author figured out that patients with perforator infarct adjacent to the stenotie segment(PIAS)under MRI beforehand would have higher chance occurring PS after stenting of intracranial stenosis.The patients with priority of PS easily are affected by the morphology,location,etiology,sites,the type and equipments.Many yet unsolved problems including the prevention would arouse us to go deeper into for the exploration of the mechanism.(J Intervent Radiol,2007,16:858-862)

Objective: The present study investigates the effects of Tanreqing injection, a compound Chinese herbal medicine, on the proliferation of leukemia cells in vitro and discusses the potential mechanisms. Methods: Tanreqing injection was diluted to a series of concentrations (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16, 1:32, 1:64, 1:128, 1:256 and 1:512) by volume and then independently applied to treat chronic myeloid leukemia K562 cells and T cell acute lymphocytic leukemia Molt4 cells at the proliferative stage. Cell growth was observed at different time intervals under a microscope. Cell proliferation was determined by cell counting kit-8 assay and the survival curve was delineated. The inhibitory rate and the half inhibitory concentration (IC50) were calculated. Molt4 cells were stained with propidium iodide (PI) and PI/Annexin V and then the cell cycle and apoptosis were analyzed by using flow cytometry. In addition, a real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction was subjected to detect the expressions of apoptosis-related genes (bcl-2 and caspase-3) after Tanreqing treatment. Results: Tanreqing injection had inhibitory effects on the proliferation of K562 cells and Molt4 cells. The most toxic concentrations were observed between 1:2 and 1:16 where cells were almost necrotic. The inhibitory effect manifested in a concentration- and time-dependent manner. The IC50 of K562 and Molt4 was 1:333 and 1:142, respectively. After 1:32 Tanreqing injection treatment for 72 h, the number of Molt4 cells in the S phase significantly decreased (P<0.05), and the apoptosis rate markedly increased (P<0.05). In addition, increased caspase-3 expression and decreased bcl-2 expression were also observed (P<0.05). Conclusion: Tanreqing injection can both inhibit the proliferation and promote the apoptosis of leukemia cells in vitro, whereby the potential mechanism seems to be mediated in part by decreasing S phase ratio, down-regulating bcl-2 expression and up-regulating caspase-3 expression.

BACKGROUND:When peri-implantitis occurs, the levels of interleukin-17 in the peri-implant sulcular fluid and soft tissues are significantly increased, and there is a positive correlation with the depth of the peri-implant probing. However, because of the dual effects of bone absorption and protection, the function of interleukin-17 in peri-implantitis remains controversial, which should be further studied. OBJECTIVE:To retrospectively analyze the correlation between peri-implantitis and interleukin-17. METHODS: The first author searched Wanfang, CNKI and Medline databases from 1991 to 2014 by using key words of “dental implants, peri-implantitis, periodontitis, Th17 cels, interleukin-17, cytokines” in Chinese or English. The functions of bone destruction and protection of interleukin-17 in peri-implantitis were reviewed, and interleukin-17 expression and correlation with the peri-implantitis were detected. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 46 articles from 241 articles are selected. The results show that, noninvasive detection of the variation of interleukin-17 levels in peri-implant sulcular fluid or blood is conducive to the monitoring of early diagnosis and treatment of peri-implantitis. At present, most researches show the relationship between interleukin-17 and peri-implantitis, and there is a positive correlation between interleukin-17 and peri-implant probing depth. But other researches suggest that interleukin-17 acts as protector for bones, and there is no statistic significance in the level of interleukin-17 receptor gene in chronic peri-odontitis and healthy subjects. Therefore, the correlation between peri-implantitis and interleukin-17 remains to be further studied.
