Objective To find out the clinical effect of integrative therapy for pregnant women with viral myocarditis(VMC).Methods The experimental group 60 VMC maternal cases were treated by integrative therapy,while the control group 43 patients were treated by simple western medicine,the efficacy of two treatments were compared,and left ventricular function,myocardial enzymes and other indicators were compared.Results Markedly effective rate of control group was 48.84％,and total effcctive rate was 72.09％ ; markedly effective rate of experimental group was 65.00％,and total effective rate was 91.67％.Markedly effective rate and total effective rate of experimental group were significantly higher(P ＜0.05).After treatment,stroke volume,ejection fraction and cardiac output index of experimental group were significantly higher than before treatment (P ＜ 0.05 ); After treatment,the indexes of experimental group and control group were significantly different ( P ＜ 0.05 ).After treatment,creatine kinase,creatine kinase myocardial isoenzyme,aspartate aminotransferase and lactate dehydrogenase index of experimental group were significantly lower than before treatment ( P ＜ 0.05 ) ; After treatment,the indicators of experirnental group were lower than control group( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion This prescription is used to treat pregnant women with valid prescriptions of VMC,the clinical efficacy of integrative medicine is significant,the cardiac contractile function can he improved,and a strong application advantages is shown compared to conventional therapy with simple western medicine.

Objective:To observe the influence of inhaled anesthetic isoflurane in the neuronal protein damage and aggregation in the APP transgenic mouse hippocampus,and to investigate the intervention effect of trehalose. Methods:Sixty APP transgenic mice aged 12 months were divided into control group,isoflurane group (Iso group) and trehalose group (Tre group)(n=20).The rats in control group were not given any drugs and were put into the anesthetic box with continuonsly entering 2 L·min-1 oxygen for 2 h;the rats in Iso group and Tre group were respectively injected intraperitoneally with 2 mL saline or trehalose (400 μg·kg-1 )30 min before anesthesia,and then inhalated 1.4% isoflurane for 2 h.6 h after anesthesia,the hippocampus tissue of the mice was prepared,and DCFH-DA fluorescence was applied to detect the reactive oxygen species (ROS)level; 24 h after anesthesia, immunohistochemical method and Western blotting method were used to detect the contents of carbonyl compounds and nitrotyrosine and the Aβ1-42 protein expression level in hippocampus;TEM was applied to observe the formation of protein aggregates; TUNEL staining was performed to observe the apoptotic rate of hippocampal neurons. Results:Compared with control group, the ROS level, the expression levels of oxidative protein carbonyl compounds and nitrotyrosine,the expression level of Aβ1-42 protein,and the apoptotic rate of hippocampal neurons in Iso group were significantly increased (P < 0.05);compared with Iso group,the ROS level,the expression levels of oxidative protein carbonyl compounds and nitrotyrosine,the Aβ1-42 protein expression level, and the apoptotic rate of hippocampal neurons in Tre group were significantly decreased (P < 0.05).Conclusion:Isoflurane can induce the protein damage and aggregation,the apoptotic rate of hippocampal neurons,aggravate oxidative stress reaction,increase the apoptotic rate of brain hippocampal neurons in the APP transgenic mice;trehalose can intervene the neurotoxicity induced by inhaled anesthetics.

Objective To study the influences of the length of sexual abstinence on sperm parameters and seminal plasma biochemical indicator.Methods Sperm concentration and motility were detected by computer assisted sperm analysis(CASA).The sperm morphology was analyzed using semiautomatic sperm morphology analyzer.Seminal plasma fructose concentration,neutral a-glycosidase,zinc,and acid phosphates concentration were measured by spectrophotometer.Improved DTNB was conducted for detection of the content of seminal plasma novain.Prostatespecific antigen(PSA)was measured with commercial kit.Three groups were defined according to the days of sexual abstinence:G1(1-3 days),G2(4-5 days)and G3(＞6 days).Results Sperm concentration of G2 was significantly higher than that of G1(P＜0.01),and of G3 than that of G1 and G2(P＜0.01).Sperm motility and per centage of morphologically normal sperm of G3 were significantly lower than that of G1(P＜0.01).Seminal plasma fructose concentration of G3 was significantly lower than that of G1 and G2(P＜0.01,P＜0.05).Seminal plasma neutral a-glycosidase,carnutine,zinc concentration of G3 was significantly higher than that of G1 and G2(P＜0.01,P＜0.05).Conclusion The length of sexual abstinence can influence sperm parameters and seminal plasma biochemical indicator.

Objective:To investigate the effect of metformin and arsenic trioxide on KG1a cells proliferation of acute myeloid leukemia and its possible mechanism.Methods:CCK-8 method was used to detect the killing effect of metformin,arsenic trioxide and combined application on KG1a cells.Annexin V-FITC/P1 Dual Stain Flow Cytometry was used to detect the effect of combined application on apoptosis of KG1 a cells.Western blot was used to detect the expression of intracellular apoptosis-,autophagy-related protein.Results:Metformin and arsenic trioxide alone or in combination could inhibit the proliferation of KG1 a cells and induce apoptosis of KG1 a cells,and the proliferation inhibition rate and apoptosis rate in the combined drug group were higher than those in the drug group alone(P＜0.05).The combination of drugs induced upregulation of Caspase 8 protein and P62 protein expression and was higher than that in the drug group alone(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Metformin can synergize with arsenic trioxide to kill KG1a cells,and its mechanism of action may be related to inducing apoptosis and enhancing autophagy.

Objective To compare the outcomes of off-pump versus on-pump CABG.Methods From 2002 to 2008,CABG was performed in 105 patients aged 80 years and over,including 45 without cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) or off-pump (OP) CABG (OPCAB) and 60 with CPB (onpump CABG).The outcomes were compared between two groups.Results The mean ICU stay was (37.1±30.3) h in OPCAB group and (60.6±58.2) h in on-pump CABG group (P＜0.01).Average ventilator-assisted time was (10.8±9.7) h for OPCAB group versus (22.3±35.7) h for onpump CABG group (P＜0.01).Postoperative atrial fibrillation occurred in 31.1％ of OPCABG patients and 41.7 ％ of on-pump CABG patients (P＜0.01).The mortality rate was 5.0％ in OPCABG group versus 8.3％ in on-pump CABG group (P＜0.05).Conclusions OPCABG is a safe and efficient method of myocardial revascularization in the elderly patients with lower morbidity and complications.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has its own system of diagnosis and treatment theory, and its methods for evaluating clinical efficacy are different from those of Western medicine. Applying evaluation techniques and methods that are used in Western medicine mechanically to TCM will not work. So building evaluation techniques, which adhere to regulations and characteristics of TCM, is necessary and imperative. As the quality of life and patient-reported outcome instruments were brought into practice and developed, clinical evaluation ideas and methods for TCM are provided with an opportunity for development. This article puts forward the concept of subjective complex outcomes (SCOs), which constitutes subjective feelings gained from the patient, doctor and caregiver, different from laboratory parameters. SCOs provide a multidimensional and complex health-related quality of life (HRQL) assessment and focus on the source of assessment information of diseases. This article also introduces a case study building SCO methods of TCM treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, in order to promote discussion and provide a platform for future research.

Objective To study the role of P53 target gene TIGAR on proliferation ,migration and invasion of lung cancer cells . Methods siRNA was introduced to knock down TIGAR in A 549 cells .Proliferation was detected by CCK-8 .The ability of migra-tion and invasion was measured by and ,respectively .was used to evaluate the expression levels of related proteins .Results Knock-down of TIGAR reduced the proliferation rate (P< 0 .05) ,inhibited the ability of migration and invasion ,decreased expression levels of MMP-2 and MM P-9 .Conclusion TIGAR promotes proliferation ,migration and invasiveness of lung cancer cells .

Objective To construct several human proinsulin mutants plasmid related to diabetes and to express in INS-1 (Insulin secreting beta cell derived line) cell. Methods Human mild proinsulin gene was used as template , and site-directed mutagenesis PCR was employed to generate four human proinsulin plasmid mutants. Each mutant plasmid was sequenced then transfected with empty plasmid and mild plasmid into INS-1 cell by liposome 2000. Insulin value in each cell solution was determined by radioimmunoassay. Results Proinsulin mutants plasmid were confirmed by sequencing. In-sulin values in culture solution of H-C(B19)G、H-L(B11)P、H-R(S6)C mutants are less than those in wild type and H-F (B25)L(P＜0.05). Comparison of insulin values between H-C(B19)G、H-L(B11)P、H-R(S6)C groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05), and all these three groups showed no significant differences with empty plasmid group statistically (P>0.05).Insulin value of H-F(B25)L was of no significant differences statistically with empty plasmid(P>0.05). Conclu-sion Four human proinsulin mutants plasmid were constructed and expressed successfully in INS-1 cell, and different mu-tants plasmid result in diabetes through different mechanism.
