The endophytic microorganisms found widely in many kinds of plants mediate various effects to theirs hosts. In this study, seven different dominant endophytes (SDE01 to 07) isolated from a Hy-peraccumulator-Solanum nigrum L. were resistant to Cd2+, and the strain SDE06 survived even in the medium containing 80 mg/L of Cd2+. Bacteria strain SDE06 was identified as Bacillus sp.. The removal of Cd2+ of SDE06 in different conditions were studied. Under the optimal conditions, the incubating time was 36 h, the solution pH 6.0, the temperature was 37?C and the Cd2+ concentration of medium was 20 mg/L, the highest removal rate was up to 80.2% at this condition.

OBJECTIVETo detect the expression profile of NK ligands in acute leukemia cell lines and investigate the differential expression pattern between acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
METHODSUsing quantitative real-time PCR, 23 NK ligands (MICA, MICB, ULBP-1, ULBP-2, ULBP-3, ULBP-4, HLA-E, HLA-G, CD48, NBTA, HLA-F, LLT-1, PVR, Nectin2, CD72, CD80, ICAM-1, LFA-3, CRACC, Fas, DR4, DR5, TNFR1) were detected in 6 acute leukemia cell lines, including 3 ALL cell lines (CEM, Jurkat T, Reh) and 3 AML cell lines (HL-60, KG-1a, NB4), respectively. Independent-samples t test analysis was performed to determine statistical significance.
RESULTSUsing β-actin as reference gene, the relative expression results showed that the expression of 4 NK ligands between ALL and AML is significantly different. Specifically, the level of ULBP-2 is higher in ALL (CEM: 1, Jurkat T: 0.617, Reh: 0.246) than that in AML (HL-60: 0.000, KG-1a: 0.003, NB4: 0.000)(P = 0.047). However, the expressions of CD48, PVR(PVR-1, PVR-2) and DR4 is higher in AML (HL-60: 13.987, 4.403, 10.334, 8.711; KG-1a: 5.387, 2.900, 7.315, 4.512; NB4: 7.763, 3.248, 7.049, 6.127) than that in ALL (CEM: 1, 1, 1, 1; Jurkat T: 2.035, 1.553, 3.888, 0.449; Reh: 1.559, 0.000, 0.000, 1.304) (P = 0.044, 0.014, 0.014, 0.011). And there're no significant differences between the rest 19 NK ligands.
CONCLUSIONSULBP-2, CD48, PVR and DR4 might play an important role in the distinct mechanisms in leukemogenesis between ALL and AML and could be potential targets for diagnosis and treatment.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the diagnostic value of ultrasonic examination in patients with early liver cirrhosis and the relation with different stages of liver fibrosis.
METHODSIn the series, 263 patients with chronic hepatitis B were under taken liver biopsy and ultrasonic examination of type B for determination of liver cirrhosis images, width of the main portal vein and the splenic vein, tumefaction of the spleen. Data were analysed statistically.
RESULTSSixties of 263 patients were diagnosed as early liver cirrhosis. The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, misdiagnostic rate, missed diagnostic rate, and Jonden's index of ultrasonic examination for early liver cirrhosis were 52.5%, 88.3%, 11.7%, 47.5%, and 0.508, respectively. The width of the main portal vein with liver fibrosis of S1, S2, S3, and S4 were 10.93 mm +/- 1.25 mm, 11.35 mm +/- 1.06 mm,11.29 mm +/- 1.52 mm, and 11.4 8mm +/- 1.25 mm, respectively with statistic difference between S4 and S1 (P=0.03). The width of the spleen vein of S1, S2, S3, and S4 were 6.518 mm +/- 2.033 mm, 7.190 mm +/- 1.569 mm, 7.444 mm +/- 1.805 mm and 8.406 mm +/- 2.227 mm, respectively with statistic difference between S4 and S2 (P=0.035). The incidence of tumefaction of the spleen was increased with the degree of liver fibrosis.
CONCLUSIONSThe diagnostic sensitivity of ultrasonic examination for early liver cirrhosis is low. The width of the main portal vein, the spleen vein and the incidence of tumefaction of the spleen are related with the degree of liver fibrosis. The regeneration node of liver cirrhosis may contribute to the development of portal hypertension.

Aim To explore the mechanism of catechin in inhibiting Th2-driven inflammation responses of allergic asthma mice. Methods Female BALB/c mice were chosen to establish an allergic asthma model by sensitized and excited with OVA.Then, the administered group was intervened with catechin by series of dose (75,150,300 mg · kg-1).The proportion of peripheral leukocyte cells was analysed, and pathological changes in lung tissues were observed by HE dyeing. The levels of TSLP,IL-5,IL-13 in lung tissues and OVA specific IgE in mouse serum were measured using ELISA kit.NF-κB p65,IκB protein expression levels in lung tissues were investigated using Western blot, and NF-κB p65 nuclear translocation was detected with immunofluorescent technique. Results Catechin could not only effectively reduce the proportion of peripheral leukocyte cells, but relieve the levels of TSLP,Th2 inflammatory factor IL-5 and IL-13,and the activation of NF-κB signal pathway in lung tissues of allergic asthma mice. Conclusions Catechin can effectively relieve Th2 inflammation in allergic asthma mice induced by allergen OVA.The possible mechanism may be that it could reduce expression of TSLP by inhibiting the NF-κB signal.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2009;15(13):1234-1236
Objective To observe the value of peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) in tumour chemotherapy. Methods A total of 141 patients were randomly divided into three groups, 56 patients received chemotherapy by PICC, 49 patients were treated by intravenous detaining needle, and 36 patients were treated by peripherally scalp needle. The complications including drugs effusion, phlebitis, and degree of comfort and self-care ability of patients were observed and compared. Results The ratio of complications and self-care deficiency in PICC group were much lower than those in the intravenous detaining needle and peripherally scalp needle group (P<0.01), the degree of comfort, however, was much higher than that in the intravenous detaining needle and peripherally scalp needle group (P<0.01). On the other hand, there was no statistical difference in the ratio of local infection of the three venous punctures(P>0.05). Conclusions It is very convenient and safe to use PICC which is a good intravenous method and is worth of spreading in practice.
