OBJECTIVE:To discuss the role and responsibility of clinical pharmacists in drug counseling for outpatients of our hospital.METHODS:The outpatient drug counseling records in our hospital from 2006 to 2007 were collected and analyzed by citing typical cases as example.RESULTS:The questions presented by patients were related to different aspects of pharmacy and most of which had been solved efficiently.CONCLUSION:In guiding patients' rational drug use,pharmacists should have extensive pharmaceutical knowledge meanwhile bear great responsibility.

AIM:To evaluate the efficacy of Wuling Capsule(xylaria) in treating senile systolic hypertension. METHODS: Sixty-four patients with senile systolic hypertension were randomly divided into two groups.Both the treated group and the control group were treated with anti-hypertensive for 4 weeks,but the treated group received Wuling Capsule.Therapentic effects were evaluated with HAMA.Noninvasive resting blood pressure was taken every day after treatment,and dynamic blood pressure before and after treatment. RESULTS: HAMA in both groups decreased somewhat but blood pressure in the treated group was lower than that in the control group,remission rate of the treated group was greater than that in the control group.Treatment period of the treated group was shorter than that of the control group. CONCLUSION: Wuling Capsule can relief anxiety in senile hypertension patients,and it can rise the control rate of blood pressure,and also shorten the treatment period.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate clinical efficacy and safety of breviscapine combined with vinpocetine in the treatment of acute cerebral infraction. METHODS:A total of 80 patients with acute cerebral infraction were selected from our hospital during Jan. 2014-Dec. 2015,and then divided into observation group and control group according to random number table,with 40 cases in each group. Control group was given Vinpocetine injection 20 mL+0.9％ Sodium chloride injection 250 mL,ivgtt,qd. Observa-tion group was additionally given Breviscapine injection 20 mL+5％ Glucose injection 250 mL,ivgtt,qd,at intervals of 2-3 h on the basis of control group. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks. Clinical efficacies as well as serum copeptin,NT-proBNP,albu-min cobalt binding(ACB)value,European stroke scale(ESS)and functional independence measurement(FIM)score before and after treatment were observed in 2 groups,and the occurrence of ADR was recorded. RESULTS:Total response rate of observation group(90.0％)was significantly higher than that of control group(67.5％),with statistical significance(P<0.05). Before treat-ment,there was no statistical significance in serum peptide,NT-proBNP,ACB value,ESS or FIM score between 2 groups (P>0.05). After treatment,serum copeptin and NT-proBNP levels of 2 groups were decreased significantly,while ACB value,ESS and FIM score were increased significantly;the improvement of observation group was significantly better than that of control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Breviscapine combined with vinpocetine can improve neurological function of acute cerebral infraction patients and show good therapeutic efficacy with good safety.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of high-dose ambroxol in treating acute exacerbations in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD).Methods The trial design was random,open,and parallel control.126 patients with AECOPD were involved.High-dose group received ambroxol 150 mg 3 times per day for 7 days (n=46),while conventional-dose group given ambroxol 30 mg 3 times per day for 7 days (n=40) and control group was given a routine treatment (antibiotic therapy,oxygen inhalation and bronchodilators) (n=40).Results The effective rates of high-dose group and conventional-dose group (95.6 ％,77.5 ％) were significantly higher compared with control group (55.0％) (x2 =19.81,4.53,both P＜0.05).The average duration of hospitalization was significantly lower in high-dose group (10.78 ±0.95)d and conventional-dose group (11.75±0.84)d comparing with control group (13.15±0.89)d (q=11.88,7.24,both P＜0.05).The clinical efficacy in high dose group was much better.Conclusions High-dose ambroxol is a safe and efficient therapy in the treatment of acute exacerbations in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Objective To evaluate the effect of individualized diet nursing on nasogastric gavage-indueced complications after operations on laryngeal cancer? Methods Sixty patients having undergone surgical operation on laryngeal cancer were randomly divided into experiment group and control group in equal number? The control group received nutritional support by conventional enteral nutrition and the experiment group was managed by individualized diet nursing with nasogastric feeding? On days 3 and 10 after operation,the two groups were compared in terms of body constitution,results of experimental tests and complications?Result Compared to the control group,the experiment group showed no significant difference in terms of body constitution and results of experimental tests(P > 0?05)but significantly lower rate of complications on days 3 and 10(P < 0?05)? Conclusion The individualized diet nursing for laryngeal cancer patients may ensure their needs for nutrition,meanwhile reduce the incidences of complications from enteral nutrition,and thus promote their recovery?

Objective To study the clinical characteristics of obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome in the aged. Methods Forty-two over 60 patients with obstruction sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) diagnosed by polysomnography (PSG) and 42 matched but less than 60 years OSAHS patients were selected, who were admitted to our hospital from February 2003 to December 2005. The clinical presentations and the results of PSG monitoring were analyzed between the two groups. Results The apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) and microarousal index (MAI) in the aged group were significantly lower than that in the younger group (P0.05). OBJECTIVE:To prepare compound zinc sulfate oral solution and establish its quality control method. METHODS: The oral solution was prepared with zinc sulfate and lysine hydrochloride as chief components. The content of lysine hydrochloride was determined by coordination titration and uv spectrophotometry, respectively, and the stability of the preparation was investigated. RESULTS: The oral solution was colorless or yellowish, with its identification and test results all in conformity with the related stipulation stated in Chinese Pharmacopeia(2005 edition). The average content of zinc sulfate labeled in the sample stood at 101%. The linear range of lysine hydrochloride was 3.2～9.6 ?g?mL-1(r=0.999 9) and its average recovery rate was 99.75%(RSD=0.27%, n=6). The preparation was stable within 6 months storing under room temperature. CONCLUSION: This preparative technology of compound zinc sulfate oral solution is simple and feasible, and the quality of which is stable and controllable.
