China Pharmacy 2017;28(14):1979-1981
OBJECTIVE:To investigate clinical efficacy and safety of Xuebijing injection in the treatment of chronic ob-structive pulmonary disease (COPD) complicated with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). METHODS:A total of 88 COPD patients with CAP selected from our hospital during Feb. 2013-Jan. 2015 were divided into control group and observa-tion group according to random number table, with 44 cases in each group. Control group received routine treatment as an-ti-infection,reducing phlegm, fluid replacement, nutritional support, etc. Based on control group, observation group was ad-ditionally given Xuebijing injection 50 mL added into 0.9% Sodium chloride injection 100 mL,ivgtt, for 30-40 min, bid, for consecutive 10 d. Clinical efficacy, application time of antibiotics, pulmonary function indexes [FEV1,FVC,FEV1/FVC,VC] were observed in 2 groups. The occurrence of ADR was recorded. RESULTS:Total response rate of observation group was 88.64%,which was significantly higher than 70.45% of control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). The application time of antibiotics in observation group was significantly shorter than control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in FEV1,FVC,FEV1/FVC,VC between 2 groups before treatment (P>0.05). After treatment,FEV1 and VC of 2 groups were improved significantly, and the observation group was better than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in FVC,FEV1/EVC before and af-ter treatment and betwean the two groups (P>0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Xuebijing injection has significant therapeutic efficacy for COPD complicated with CAP and can significantly shorten the use time of an-tibiotics,improve pulmonary function with good safety.

BACKGROUND:Regulation of neural stem cells differentiation hampers its application, and the regulation mechanism remains poorly understood.Anterior subventricular zone(SVZa)is one of the rich zones of neural stem cells. The neural stem cells at SVZa can immigrate for a long distance with undifferentiated states and finally differentiate into intemeurons at the olfactory bulbs.Bone morphogenetic protein-2(BMP2)and DLX5 play a significant role in immigration and differentiation of neural stem cells at SVZa towards olfactory bulb.OBJECTIVE:To study the feature of construction and immigration of neural stem cells at SVZa,and to review the role of BMP2 and DLX5 in neural stem cells differentiation,in addition,to explore the regulation mechanisms of neural stern cells differentiation.METHODS:Literatures from PubMed database(http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed),CNKI database(www.cnki.net/index.htm)and WANFANG database(http://www.wanfangdata.com.cn)published between January 1997 and January 2009 were searched with the key words of"neural stem cells,SVZa,BMP2,and DLX5".The repetitive and obsolete studies were excluded.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:A total of 121 literatures were selected and primarily collected, including 86 Chinese literatures and 35 English literatures. Finally, according to standardization,28 literatures were further analyzed.Neural stem cells of SVZa have unique construction and can immigrate for a long distance.BMP2 and DLX5 play a significant role in neuronal immigration and differentiation of the NSCs of SVZa,but the detailed mechanism of BMP2 and DLX5 in SVZa is not clear.

Objective: To study the influence of ligating different sites of carotid arteries on face and nose blood flow in rabbits. Methods:Different levels of carotid arteries were ligated using laser Doppler flowmetry to observe the change of blood flow in face and nose regions before and after operation. Results: Blood flow of rabbit nose was more than that of the face region. Among the four operations of ligating different blood vessels to reduce blood flow of face and nose region, the most effective method was to ligate ipsilateral carotid artery and its branches on the same side. Conclusion: Ligation of some relating blood vessels, resulting in the establishment of collateral circulation, and the blood flow is quicker in the early stage. [

Objective To analyze the pathogenesis, clinical features, treatment and prognosis of pulmonary hypertension (PHT) in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. Methods Thirty-eight patients admitted during Jan 2001 to Aug 2008 were diagnosed as SLE associated with PHT and were analyzed retrospectively. Results All cases were female with the mean age of 35.7 yds. The mean period from PHT to the diagnosis of SLE was 2.3 years. Three cases were severe PHT with remarkable heart failure. Twenty-seven eases demonstrated Raynaund's phenomenon. Antinuclear antibody (ANA) was positive in all 38 cases and the titer was 1:320. Anti-DNA antibody, anti-Sin antibody, anti-U1RNP antibody and anti-SSA, anti-SSB were positive in 21 cases, 16 cases, 15 cases, 8 cases respectively. Antiphospholipid antibody and rheumatoid factor (RF) were elevated in 4 cases and 13 cases respectively. Seven cases were involved in lung fibrosis and pulmonary function test showed mild to moderate restrictive abnormality in these 7 cases. After treated with the combination of steroid and immunosuppressive agents, one case died on the 10th day and 2 cases died in 2 to 3 years after the diagnosis was established. The other 35 cases stayed stable. Conclusion PHT is one of the severe complications of SLE and often accompanied by poor outcome. Therefore early diagnosis and early combined therapy is very important.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for simultaneous determination of ibuprofen and indomethacin concentration in human urine. METHODS:The urine samples were precipitated by acetonitrile. HPLC method was adopted. The determination was performed on Discovery C18 column with mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-20 mmol/L ammonium acetate solution(85:15,V/V, pH value adjusted to 3.5 with glacial acetic acid)at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. UV detection wavelength was set at 220 nm. The column temperature was room temperature, and sample size was 80 μL. RESULTS:The linear range of ibuprofen and indometha-cin were both 0.1-50.0μg/mL(r=0.9996,0.9995,n=3). The limits of quantitation were both 0.1μg/mL,and the limits of detec-tion were both 0.03 μg/mL. RSDs of inter-day and intra-day were all lower than 10%(n=5),and accuracy ranged 94.7%-97.2%. The extraction recoveries of ibuprofen and indomethacin were 89.5%-91.8% and 90.2%-92.4%(all RSDs<10%,n=15),respec-tively. CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple and rapid with high selectivity, sensitivity and accuracy. It is suitable for simultane-ous determination of ibuprofen and indomethacin concentration in human urine.

Objective To investigate the effect of ondansetron on the development of neuropathic pain in rats following chronic constriction injury (CCI) on sciatic nerve. Methods This research consisted of 3 parts. ①A single bolus of ondansetron was given intraperitoneally 2 h before nerve injury; ②A single bolus of ondansetron was given intraperitoneally on the 7th day after nerve injury; ③Continuous administration of ondansetron was given daily for 35 d; In each part, male SD rats were randomly divided into ondansetron group (0.5, 2, 8 mg/kg), saline group and sham operated group. The paw withdrawal response to thermal stimulation was tested throughout the 35 d following nerve injury. Results Ondansetron administration before nerve injury had no effect on thermal pain threshold in rats of experimental neuropathic pain. ondansetron administration on the 7th day after nerve injury attenuated the descending of thermal pain threshold but did not alter its descending trend in subsequent time period. Daily administration of ondansetron for 35 d attenuated and further delayed the descending of thermal pain threshold significantly in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion Continuous administration of ondansetron can prevent or at least delay the descending of thermal pain threshold of rats with experimental neuropathic pain after constriction injury.
