International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2006;0(02):-
Objective To study the electrochemical features of an improved enzyme bioelectrode for biofuel cell. Methods The enzyme electrode was prepared via biotin-avidin technology and its electrochemical features were explored. The conditions such as layers of enzyme films, strength of glucose, scan speed and temperature, which affected the electrochemical behavior of enzyme electrode, were studied. Results The results showed that the electrode had good electric current response to glucose. The enzyme electrode prepared can fulfill the need of biofuel cell and is a promising electrode to be used in human body.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(07):-
Aim To investigate the effects of propafenone on myocardium inotropism and explore it’s possible mechanism in isolated papillary muscle of guinea pig. Methods Developed tension (DT), maximum rate of contraction (+dT/dt_ max) and maxi-mum rate of relaxation (-dT/dt_ max) were measured during propafenone perfusion before and after administration of L-type calcium channel blocker, nicardipine and selective Na+/Ca 2+ exchanger inhibitor, KB-R7943. Results ①At concentration of 0.1,1,10,30 ?mol?L -1,propafenone attenuated DT from control (0.18?0.05) g to (0.14?0.03), (0.12?0.03), (0.08?0.02), (0.05?0.02) g respectively (P

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2009;16(1):79-80
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of treadmill exercise tests (TET), Hoher electro-cardiogram in coronary artery disease(CAD) patients. Methods 144 patients who clinically diagnosed as CAD,un-derwent TET and Hoher electrocardiogram. Then the patients with the positive results were examined by coronary arte-riography(CAG). According to the results of CAG the diagnostic value of TET and Hoher electrocardiogram was per-formed with comparative analysis. Results The sensitivity, specificity and evaluated accuracy rates of TET were 93.3% ,72. 2% and 73. 8% respectively. But the sensitivity, specificity and positive evaluated accuracy rates of Hol-ter electrocardiogram to examine myocardial iachemia were 76.7%, 88.4%, 57.1%. Conclusions The combined examination of TET and Holter electrocardiogram could preliminarily estimate the stenosis site of coronary artery. For the patients with unconditional GAG, those two examinations could increase the diagnostic reliability of positive rate of myocardial isehemia, and on this basis to enhance the diagnostic level of the stenosis site of coronary artery.

Objective To research the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy with anthracycline and taxane in early or locally advanced breast cancer and its effects on ER, PR and Her-2.Methods 120 cases of early or locally advanced breast cancer patients were selected as the research objects, according to the order of admission, the patients were divided into the observation group and the control group. The control group were given conventional chemotherapy with EC regimen (epirubicin +cyclophosphamide), while the observation group were treated with anthracyclines and taxanes. The clinical efficacy and the expression of ER, PR and Her-2 receptor in the two groups after treatment were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 73.33%, which was higher than that of the control group (53.33%) (P<0.05).After treatment, the positive expression level (0~+++) of ER receptor in the observation group were 20.00%, 15.00%, 35.00%, 30.00%, respectively, the positive expression level(0~+++) of PR receptor were 26.67%, 20.00%, 23.33% and 30.00%, respectively, were significantly better than those of the control group ( ER:31.67%, 21.67%, 28.33%, 18.33%, PR:40.00%, 25.00%, 20.00%, 15.00%) (P<0.05).But there was no significant difference between the two groups in the expression of Her-2 receptor (25.00%, 11.67%, 30.00%, 33.33% and 31.67%, 21.67%, 16.67%, 30.00%, respectively). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group and the control group were 6.67% and 21.67%, respectively, and there was significant difference between the two groups ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusion In the treatment of early or late stage breast cancer , anthracycline combined with taxane neoadjuvant chemotherapy has a significant effect, which can effectively improve the expression of ER and PR receptors. In addition to improve the effect of clinical treatment, and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions in a certain extent,so it can be used as a new adjuvant chemotherapy in the clinical application of the best option.

ObjectiveTo prepare recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor (rhbFGF) loaded magnesium-poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) (Mg-PLGA) stent and to evaluate its angiogenesis effect in rat model of hindlimb ischemia.MethodsThe stent was prepared with spiral magnesium (Mg) and loaded with therapeutic agent rhbFGF and PLGA matrix. In vitro drug release study was carried out and the effect was evaluated using a standard animal model of rat hindlimb ischemia.A mechanical drill was conducted and the stent was implanted. The concentrations of Mg2+ in the muscle adjacent to the stent, rat plasma, urine and stools of the experimental animals were tested to analyze the degradation and metabolism of metal Mg.Immunohistochemical staining was performed to evaluate the angiogenesis effect of the stent.ResultsThe drug loaded in the stent could release continuously for about 4 weeks. The concentrations of Mg2+ in the rat plasma, urine and stools were within normal range.Immunohistochemical and quantitative analysis showed that the effect of Mg-PLGA-rhbFGF stent on angiogenesis of rat limb ischemia was better than that of the control group.ConclusionRhbFGF loaded MgPLGA stent could promote angiogenesis of rat limb ischemia, and it may provide theoretical basis for the critical patients suffered from lower limb ischemic disease.

Objective To compare and evaluate different DNA extraction methods for batches of bloodstain samples during the establishment of national DNA database. MethodsDNA was extracted from bloodstain samples collected for the establishment of DNA database using manual Chelex-100, Biomek 3000 automation workstation with Chelex-100 and DNA-IQTM magnetic bead method respectively, and the quantity of DNA was determined by the real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR technique. Genotyping was performed using the AmpFLSTR STR Identifiler kit and 3100 genetic analyzer. ResultsThe concentrations of DNA templates obtained by manual Chelex-100, automatic Chelex-100 and DNA-IQTM magnetic bead method were 0.593?0.131ng/?l, 0.579?0.096ng/?l and 0.447?0.056ng/?l respectively, and the success rates of genotyping with these DNA templates were 100%, 98.9% and 99.5% respectively. ConclusionThe automatic Chelex-100 method proposed by this study can be applied in the establishment of large-scale DNA databases.
10.Antimicrobial Resistance of Enterobacter cloacae in our Hospital 2005-2007
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(09):-
OBJECTIVE To investigate antimicrobial resistance of Enterobacter cloacae in our hospital, for guiding the treatment of these infections in clinical practice.METHODS Bacterial susceptibility testing was done by Kirby-Bauer method and bacteria were identified by VITEK-32.Retrospective analysis of the drug resistance was done to the E.cloacae isolated from our hospital in the recent 3 years.RESULTS A total of 364 E.cloacae strains were isolated, which mainly isolated from sputum. They were resistant to 13 types of antibacterial agents but the resistance rate to imipenem was 3.30%.The resistant rate to third and fourth generation cepholosporins(excepting cefoperazone/sulbactam) and quinolones was more than 30% and to ampicillin and cefazolin was more than 94.00%.CONCLUSIONS E.cloacae is severely resistant to cepholosporins and quinolones.More attention should be paid to the surveillance of such strains.Imipenem may be considered for use in critical patients.
