Objective To explore the effect of medlar polysaccharide(MP) on blood fat metabolism of rat with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods 40 SD rats were randomly divided into a blank control group(n=7), and a NAFLD model group (n=33). The control group was treated with normal forage, and the control group was treated with high-fat forage. After 8 weeks, 30 NAFLD models were successfully established and divided into three groups randomly: a LBP intervention group (treatment group, n=10) was perfused with 60 mg/(kg?d)MP, a simvastatin intervention group(control group, n=10) was perfused with 5mg/(kg?d) simvastatin, and a model group(model group,n=10) was perfused with the same volume of water along with high fat diet at the same time. After 8 weeks, triglycerides, total cholesterol, ALT, AST, leptin, and adiponectin in the plasma in rat were test. Malondialdehyde, Superoxide Dismutase and Gamma glutamyl cysteinyl glycine were also detected in the liver tissue. Results After 8 weeks, the contents of TG (0.94 ± 0.09 mmol/Lvs.1.19 ± 0.13 mmol/L), TC (2.15 ± 0.20 mmol/L vs. 3.52 ± 0.29 mmol/L), ALT (41.75 ± 4.14 U/L vs. 55.34 ± 5.38 U/L), AST (129.61 ± 12.07 U/L vs. 164.96 ± 15.49 U/L), LP (235.69 ± 23.52 pg/ml vs. 284.01 ±29.43 pg/ml) were decreased, the contents of ADP (35.47 ± 3.09 μg/L vs. 26.31 ± 2.58 μg/L) was increased in serum of the treatment group compared with the model group (P<0.05 orP<0.01);the contents of SOD (92.40 ± 8.89 U/mg vs. 61.60 ± 5.89 U/mg), GSH (22.25 ± 2.21 mg/g vs. 15.50 ± 1.36 mg/g)were increased, and the contents of MDA (0.84 ± 0.08 nmol/mg vs. 1.07 ± 0.09 nmol/mg) was decreased in liver tissue of the treatment group compared with the model group (P<0.05 orP<0.01). HE stain showed that the treatment group improved the injury.Conclusions Medlar polysaccharide(MP) can inhibit lipid peroxidation by adjusting lipid metabolism.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value and limitation of MRI for chromophobe renal cell carcinoma.Methods MRI features of 5 cases with pathology proved chromophobe renal cell carcinoma were analyzed retrospectively.Results All tumors showed homogenous isoin-tensity or slightly hypointensity on T1 weighted images and isointensity or slightly hyperintensity on T2 weighted images.Slightly hyperintensity were showed on DWI images,the mean ADC value of tumors was 1.42×10-3 mm2/s.On the contrast enhanced images,all the mass showed slight to moderate enhancement ,1 case had spoke-wheel-like enhancement,1 case showed flowed out blood vessels in the tumor.Conclusion The preoperative diagnosis is difficult for chromophobe renal cell carcinoma,MRI is a valuable method which could provide useful information for qualitative diagnosis.

Objective To study the effect of Hydrogen on ischemia/reperfusion(I/R)-induced cardiocyte apoptosis and apoptosis related proteins expression in diabetic rats .Methods Diabetes mellitus was induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ) ,then feed 4 weeks before build ischemia/reperfusion model .60 SD male rats ,weight during 300-350 g ,were randomly divid-ed to six groups :non-diabetic sham-operated group (NS) ,non-diabetic I/R group(NI/R) ,non-diabetic hydrogen treated group (NH) ,diabetic sham-operated group(DS) ,diabetic I/R group(DI/R)and diabetic hydrogen treated group(DH) ,each group has 10 rats .The cardiac muscle I/R model was made by 30 min occlusion of the left anterior descending coronary artery and 2 h reperfu-sion .The rats in Hydrogen group were treated with 5 mL/kg hydrogen by intraperitoneal administration at the beginning of reper-fusion .The apoptosis index (AI) was calculated by TUNEL .The positive expressions of Bcl-2 ,Bax ,Caspase-3 in cardiomyocytes were respectively detected by immunohistochemistry .Results The apoptotic rates of cardiomyocytes and the positive expressions of Bcl-2 ,Bax ,Caspase-3 were significantly increased(P<0 .01) ,Compared with I/R group ,the apoptotic rates of cardiomyocytes in hydrogen treatment group were obviously decreased(P<0 .01) ,and the positive expressions of Bcl-2 were increased(P<0 .01) ,at the same time ,the positive expressions of Bax ,Caspase-3 were decreased(P<0 .01) .Conclusion Hydrogen inject by intraperitoneal method on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury of diabetic rats has a protective effect ;Its mechanism may be related to its inhibi-ting myocardial apoptosis by advanced the Bcl-2 protein expression and reduced the Bax 、Caspase-3 protein expression .

Objective To investigate the relationship between high-glucose-induced fibronectin(FN) expression and up-regulation of integrin-linked kinase(ILK) in human kidney tubular epithelial cells (HKC) and kidney of CD-1 mice. Methods Cultured human kidney tubular epithelial cells and streptozotocin (STZ)-indueed diabetic model of CD-1 mice were enrolled in this study.Western blot was used to detect the expression of FN and ILK.The kinase dead ILK plasmid (pCMV-kdlLK) were transferred to HKC. Results Four weeks after injection of STZ,CD-1 mice had higher blood glucose level as compared to the control [(20.3±2.7) mmol/L vs (6.1±1.4) mmol/L,P＜0.01].Meanwhile,expression of FN and ILK was significantly increased in diabetic mice as compared to the control (P＜0.01).There was positive correlation between the expression of FN and ILK (r=0.899,P＜0.01).High-glucose could up-regulate FN and ILK expression in cultured HKC in a time- and dose-dependent manner.Blockage of ILK activation by pCMV-kdILK abrogated high-glucose-incuced FN expression in HKC. Conclusions Highglucose can induce FN expression through up-regulating ILK expression.Blockage of ILK activation abrogates this effect.

Objective To investigate the effect of high glucose on renal tubular epithelial-mesenchymal transition,and to analyze the relationship between high glucose and transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1)and the mechanism of renal interstitial fibrosis. Methods HKC and Smad7-overexpression HKC cells were grown in DMEM/F12 medium containing 5%～10%newborn calf serum.They were cultured for 16 h in free serum medium after 80%cells were adhered onto the surface of the flask.Afterwards,they were stimulated by high glucose(glucose concentration:25 mmol/L and 50 mmol/L).The expression of α-SMA,E-cadherin and fibronectin was detected by Western blot while the supernatant level of TGF-β1 was detected by ELISA.Cell motility and migration was evaluated using Boyden chamber motogenicity assay. Results In HKC induced by high glucose,the expression of α-SMA and fibronectin protein was highly upregulated while the expression of E-cadhefin protein was down-regulated.The expression of TGF-β1was up-regulated in a dose-dependent manner.These above-mentioned effects could be obviously inhibited by anti-TGF-β1 antibody.The protein expression of α-SMA,fibronectin and E-cadherin had no obvious change in Smad7-overexpression HKC induced by high glucose.HKC exhibited enhanced motility and invasive capacity in high glucose groups,compared to that in control group.Migrated cell counting was(12.4±3.7)and(18.6±4.4)cell/HP in 25 and 50 mmol/L glucose groups respectively. Conclusion High glucose may induce renal tubular epithelialmesenchymal transition through TGF-β1 pathway,which can be inhibited by blocking the Smad signal pathway.

Listeriamonocytogenes is a facultative intracellular bacterium that enters professional antigen presenting cells , presents passenger antigens to the major histocompatibility complex class I and II pathways ,then elicits CD+4 and CD+8 T-cell-mediated immune responses .It was demonstrated that attenuated Listeriamonocytogenes as a novel live vaccine vector in deliv-ering tumor antigens of cervical cancer and melanoma etc .,could induce strong protective immune response ,and shows effec-tive antitumor immunotherapeutics .This review discussed the characteristics of immune responses elicited by Listeria monocy-togenes ,and the progress of its antitumor immunotherapeutics as delivery vaccine vector .

Objective To evaluate the role of phosphoinositide 3 kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/Akt) signaling pathway in hydrogen-induced inhibition of cell apoptosis during myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) in rats.Methods Forty healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats,weighing 300-350 g,were randomly allocated into 4 groups (n =10 each) using a random number table:sham operation group (S group),I/R group,hydrogen group (group H),and hydrogen + LY294002 group (group HL).Myocardial I/R was induced by occlusion of the anterior descending branch of left coronary artery for 30 min followed by 120 min reperfusion.In H and HL groups,99.6 ％ hydrogen 5 ml/kg was injected intraperitoneally immediately after beginning of reperfusion,and in addition LY294002 (0.3 mg/kg) was injected through the caudal vein before hydrogen injection in group HL.Arterial blood samples were collected at the end of 120 min reperfusion for determination of serum creatine kinase isoenzyme-MB (CK-MB) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activities.The rats were then sacrificed.Myocardial apoptosis was detected by TUNEL and apoptosis index (AI) was calculated.The expression of Bcl-2,Bax and caspase-3 was detected by immuno-histochemistry.Bcl-2/Bax ratio was calculated.Results The serum CK-MB and LDH activities and AI were significantly increased,the expression of myocardial Bcl-2,Bax and caspase-3 was upregulated,and the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax was decreased in group I/R as compared with group S.Compared with group I/R,the serum CK-MB and LDH activities and AI were significantly decreased,the expression of myocardial Bcl2 was up-regulated,while the expression of myocardial Bax and caspase-3 was down-regulated,and the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax was increased in group H,and no significant changes were found in the parameters mentioned above in group HL.The serum CK-MB and LDH activities and AI were significantly increased,the expression of myocardial Bcl-2 was down-regulated,while the expression of myocardial Bax and caspase-3 was up-regulated,and Bcl-2/Bax ratio was decreased in group HL as compared with group H.Conclusion Hydrogen can activate the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway,and further up-regulates Bcl-2 expression and down-regulates Bax and Caspase-3 expression,thus inhibiting cell apoptosis during myocardial I/R in rats.

Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of cooperation of doctors and nurses in the nutritional support of critically ill patients, and provide the basis for future improve the physician-nurse collaboration in the nutritional support. Methods Doctors and nurses who from ICU in Soochow were investigated by the Nurse-Physician Collaboration Scale (NPCS). Results The doctors′score of physician-nurse collaboration in the nutritional support of critically ill patients was 87.42 ±15.73, which was significantly higher than 80.97 ± 13.80 the nurses′(t=3.279, P= 0.001).In addition, under the item 1, 3, 5 in the dimension one as well as the total items in the dimensions two and three, the doctors′score was similarly higher than the nurses, and the differences are also statistically significant (Z=-3.894--1.964, all P<0.01 or 0.05). Technical titles, educational level and age was significantly related to the cooperative level between doctors and nurses respectively (χ2=11.037, P=0.012;F=3.488, P=0.037; F=3.499, P=0.016). Conclusions Doctors have higher levels of perceived collaboration than nurses in the nutritional support of critically ill patients, while both require further improvement. We should highlight the physician-nurse collaboration in feeding critically ill patients, and should improve the nutrition quality through standardized process management and active team cooperation.

The prevalence of human and animal listeriosis for nearly 11 years in China was investigated in this study . The literature information about listeriosis in China from 2002 to 2012 was collected through retrieval system to make clinical and epidemiological statistical analysis of listeriosis .Cases of listeriosis were reported in 27 (79% ) provinces of China .The re-sult showed that animal listeriosis was reported for 123 times ,among these reports ,most were from pigs (39% ) ,and the sheep was in second place .Central nervous system infection was the main clinical manifestation of listeriosis in animals (72% ) . For human listeriosis ,84 clinical cases of listeriosis were reported ,including 35% cases in non-perinatal stage and 65% cases in perinatal stage .The main clinical manifestation of listeriosis was septicemia (51% ) .According to the result of investigation about listeriosis based on literatures information ,Listeriamonocytogenes caused humans and animals listeriosis annually ,which were reported in most provinces of China .The epidemic characteristics for listeriosis suggested that it was essential to strength-en the prevention and control of listeriosis .
