Objective To explore the factors affecting urinary arsenic methylated metabolites in population exposed to elevated arsenic through drinking water.Methods Residents,including 73 males and 72 females,in a endemic village located in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region where the concentration of arsenic in drinking water was 0.167 mg/L,were included in the study; moming urine samples were collected; individual height and weight were measured which could be used to calculate body mass index(BM庆) ; and smoking and drinking habit was investigated by a questionnaire survey.Urinary concentrations of inorganic arsenic (iAs),monomethylarsenic acid(MMA) and dimethylarsenic acid(DMA) were determined using high performance liquid chromatography hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry (HPLC-HG-AFC).Total arsenic (T-As) level was calculated by the sum of iAs,MMA and DMA; iAs％,MMA％ and DMA％ was calculated based on iAs/T-As,MMA/T-As and DMA/T-As.One methylation ratio(PMI) and dimethyl rate(SMI) were calculated by MMA/iAs and DMA/MMA.Results SMI level of female was significantly higher than that of male [median (M) =4.18,3.38,x2 =11.219,P ＜ 0.05] ; MMA％ of female was significantly lower than that of male(M =15.1 9,18.06,x2 =9.272,P ＜ 0.05) ; DMA％ of female was significantly higher than that of male (M =65.61,59.47,x2 =11.728,P ＜ 0.05).Various forms of arsenic indexes were not affected by smoking,alcohol consumption and BMI(P ＞ 0.05).BMI was negatively correlated with MMA％,with correlation coefficient (r)-0.17 (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Under the same condition of arsenic exposure,arsenic methylation capacity of women is higher than that of men.Lower BMI is significantly associated with higher methylation capability of arsenic,but this correlation may be affected by other confounding factors.

Objective To survey the clinical ability of diagnosis and treatment of diabetic foot among district medical clinical staffs.Methods 55 medical staffs were questionnaired about the diabetic foot knowledge before and after a technical training course.Results (1) After training,the clinical ability of diabetes physical examination,the features of diabetic foot identification,diabetic foot prevention and treatment,diabetic foot health education and the muhidisciplinary team of diabetic foot organization improved.The medical staffs got to know how to organize a multidisciplinary team of diabetic foot.The difference was significant(P＜0.05).(2)The professional category of medical personnel(OR=19.464,95％ CI=1.837-206.243),the history collection and physical examination of diabetic foot (OR=34.825,95％ CI=3.486-347.875)were the influent factors of antibiotic selection when diabetic foot were infected.Conclusion Targeted diabetic foot training is effective to improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment level of district medical staffs.

Objective To study the specificity, sensitivity of diagnostic antigen for Trichinella spiralis(T. s). Methods T668 recombinant protein from highly efficient expression of newborn larvae stage-specific gene of T. s in E. coli as diagnostic antigen. By using negative and positive sera from rabbit, pig, human as the first antibody, and goat-anti-rabbit IgG, goat-anti-pig IgG, goat-anti-human IgG labeled with HRP as the secondary antibody, indirect ELISA method was established for detecting anti-T.s antibody, while excretory-secretory (ES) antigen of T.s muscle larvae was used as control. Results Sera from rabbit, pig and human were detected by T668 recombinant protein as antigen, which showed a positive rate of 100% with 0.016 ?g/well. There was no difference on the results between the T668 recombinant antigen and the ES antigen for diagnosing T. s-infection. Conclusion The T668 recombinant antigen is promising in substituting ES antigen in the detection of anti-T. s antibody.

Objective To investigate the real-time regulatory effects of IFN-γ, programed death ligand 2(PDL2) and janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription (JAK/STAT) signaling pathway on the adherence, proliferation and migration of human placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells(hPMSCs) based on a finding that IFN-γ could enhance the expression of PDL2 in hPMSCs through JAK/STAT signaling pathway.Methods hPMSCs were isolated by using enzyme digestion method and then co-cultured with IFN-γ, anti-PDL2 monoclonal antibody (anti-PDL2 McAb) and JAK inhibitor, respectively.Real-time cell analysis (RTCA) was used to detect the dynamic changes in the adherence, proliferation and migration of hPMSCs following various interventions.Results IFN-γ remarkably suppressed hPMSCs proliferation during the period from 40 hours to 80 hours after intervention and also inhibited the non-targeted migration of hPMSCs.However, hPMSCs adherence was not affected by IFN-γ.Co-culturing hPMSCs with anti-PDL2 McAb significantly enhanced hPMSCs adhesion and inhibited their non-targeted migration, but had no significant effect on hPMSCs proliferation.Furthermore, the proliferation of hPMSCs co-cultured with IFN-γ and anti-PDL2 McAb was significantly inhibited as compared with that of anti-PDL2McAb treatment group.The adhesion, migration and proliferation of hPMSCs were significantly inhibited after co-culturing them with JAK inhibitor.Conclusion IFN-γ can remarkably suppress the proliferation and migration of hPMSCs.PDL2 can enhance the migration and inhibit the adhesion of hPMSCs.JAK/STAT signaling pathway is involved in regulating the adhesion, migration and proliferation of hPMSCs.

Activation of the transcription factor NF-E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2)-signaling pathway is an adaptive response to environmental and endogenous stresses and serves to render animals resistant to chemical carcinogenesis and other forms of toxicity. However, overexpression of Nrf2 has been recognized to promote oncogenesis and resistance to chemotherapy. The application of Nrf2 in tumor chemoprevention and treatment has also become a hot topic. This review focuses on the dual roles of Nrf2 in tumorigenesis and the application of Nrf2 in tumor chemoprevention and treatment.

Objective: To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of hepatitis A and hepatitis E in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province from 2005 to 2021, so as to provide insights into prevention and control of hepatitis A and hepatitis E. Methods: Data of hepatitis A and hepatitis E reported in Jiaxing City from 2005 to 2021 were collected from the Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Information System. The temporal, spatial and population distribution of hepatitis A and hepatitis E were analyzed using a descriptive epidemiological method, and the trends in incidence of hepatitis A and hepatitis E were evaluated using annual percent change (APC). Results: Totally 1 830 hepatitis A cases were reported in Jiaxing City from 2005 to 2021, with an annual average incidence of 2.44/105, and 2 deaths were reported, with a fatality rate of 0.11%. The incidence of hepatitis A appeared a tendency towards a decline from 2005 to 2012 (APC=-37.807%, P<0.05) and was relatively stable from 2012 to 2021 (APC=-1.277%, P>0.05), and the incidence peaked from July to September, with a monthly average incidence of 0.30/105. Higher annual average incidence of hepatitis A was seen in urban areas than in rural areas (3.91/105 vs. 1.92/105; P<0.05), among people at ages of 30 to 39 years (4.19/105), and among men than among women (3.00/105 vs. 1.93/105; P<0.05). Farmers were the predominant occupation (759 cases, 41.31%). Totally 2 176 hepatitis E cases were reported in Jiaxing City from 2005 to 2021, with an annual average incidence of 2.91/105, and 7 deaths were reported, with a fatality rate of 0.32%. The incidence of hepatitis E was relatively stable from 2005 to 2011 (APC=3.421%, P>0.05) and appeared a tendency towards a decline from 2011 to 2021 (APC=-4.294%, P<0.05), and the incidence peaked from January to March, with a monthly average incidence of 0.38/105. Higher annual average incidence of hepatitis E was seen in urban areas than in rural areas (3.50/105 vs. 2.70/105; P<0.05), among people at ages of 70 to 79 years (6.20/105), and among men than among women (3.74/105 vs. 2.05/105; P<0.05). Farmers were the predominant occupation (1 079 cases, 49.59%). Conclusions The incidence of hepatitis A and hepatitis E appeared a tendency towards a decline in Jiaxing City from 2005 to 2021. The incidence of hepatitis A was high in summer, and cases were mainly males, young and middle-aged people and farmers. The incidence of hepatitis E was high in winter, and cases were mainly males, elderly people and farmers.

Objective: To investigate the epidemiological and spatio-temporal characteristics of influenza in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide insights into perfecting the prevention and control strategies of influenza. Methods: Data of influenza in Jiaxing City from 2019 to 2023 were collected from the Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Information System. Population data of the same period were collected from the Zhejiang Health Information Network Reporting System. The epidemiological characteristics of influenza were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Vector map information was collected from the Open Street Map, and the spatio-temporal clustering characteristics of influenza were analyzed using spatial autocorrelation and spatio-temporal scanning. Results: A total of 181 501 cases of influenza were reported in Jiaxing City from 2019 to 2023, with an average annual reported incidence of 653.93/105. The majority of cases were aged 5 to <15 years (59 785 cases, 32.94%). The majority of the occupations were students (78 239 cases, 43.11%) and pre-school children (33 715 cases, 18.58%). The county (city, district) with the highest reported incidence was Haining City (1 451.70/105), and the town (street) with the highest reported incidence was Chang'an Town (1 932.78/105). Spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that the incidence of influenza in Jiaxing City from 2019 to 2023 had positive spatial correlations (all Moran's I>0, all P<0.05), with a high-high clustering in the southern region. Spatio-temporal scanning analysis showed that there was a spatio-temporal clustering of influenza in Jiaxing City from 2019 to 2023, with the southern region being the primary-type clustering area and the period between November and January of the following year being the clustering time. Conclusion There was a significant spatio-temporal clustering of influenza in Jiaxing City from 2019 to 2023, with winter being the peak season and the southern region being the primary area.
