1.Treatment advances in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2015;24(9):570-573
Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma originates from outside of the lymph nodes, which is a kind of low-grade malignant lymphoma and the most type of marginal zone lymphoma (MZL).It accounts for about 30 %-50 % of the indolent NHL.The onsets and therapies of MALT lymphoma are diverse. This article focuses on the recent therapeutic advances of MALT lymphoma.
2.Progress of pathogenesis of neuropathic pain
International Journal of Pediatrics 2015;42(2):138-141
Neuropathic pain arises as a direct consequence of a lesion or disease affects the somatosensory. Its symptoms include spontaneous, hyperalgesia and allodynia pain.Pain management is not satisfied through merely analgesics. To manage pain effectively is difficult in clinic. The paper is to review the progress of the mechanism of neuropathic pain.
3.On the Growth of the Experts in Traditional Chinese Medicine
Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2014;(1):30-32
[Objective]To summarize the growth of 51 famous experts in traditional Chinese medicine, in order to provide the young and middle-aged scholars of this area with studying materials and references. [Methods] Finding the similarities and making a summary by interviewing, organizing and ana-lyzing the growing experiences of these 51 experts. [Results]Being enthusiastic about traditional culture of Chinese medicine and having careful y read re-lated classics when studying medicine, most of the experts have either experiences of learning from famous doctors, or strong interest motivated by learning the practical effect of traditional Chinese medicine. They have been insisting on a lifetime, perseverant, diligent and strenuous learning, and they are good at summarizing. In addition, they have attached great importance to medical ethics and self-cultivation, which is considered to be the general characteristic of their bril iance. [Conclusions] To cultivate talents of modern Chinese medicine under the roof of col eges and institutes, it is important to develop their interest first, then to put great emphasis on reading classics, learning from famous doctors, summarizing through the way of “reading-clinical verification-reading again”, and final y, paying great attention to the education of medical ethics.
4.EFFECT OF MEGADOSES OF VITAMIN B_6 AND C ON SERUM LIPIDS AND ATHEROSCLEROSIS IN RABBITS FED HIGHCHOLESTEROL DIET
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(03):-
In order to compare the effect of megadoses of vitamin B6 and C on serum lipids and atheroscleosis, 25 New Zealand strain rabbits (male) fed high cholesterol diet every day were divided into four groups.Group A as control, received only cholesterol diet. 125mg.kg-1.d-1 of vitamin B6 was given to group B, 500mg.kg-1.d-1 of vitamin C to group C, and 125mg.kg-1.d-1 vitamin B6+500 mg.kg-1.d-1 vitamin C to group D, all by oral administration. Fasting serum was sampled at 2-week intervals during a 10-week experimental period. After 10 weeks, killed all the rab- bits, check their urethrae and determined the vitamin C content of the adrenal glands. The aorta was examined by measuring the size of plaques OR aorta wall and investigated pathologically. The results were (1) The body weight increased in every group gave no remarkable difference. (2) Serum total-cholesterol (TC) of group B was apparently lower than group A at 8th week (P
5.Advances of eIF4E in breast cancer research
Journal of International Oncology 2009;36(11):850-852
Eukaiyotic translation initiation factor 4E(eIF4E) is a key factor initiate eukaryotic transla-tion. eIF4E has significant correlation with the carcinogenesis, cancer development and invasion, etc. Recent studies in breast cancer show that eIF4E is an important prognostic factor and associated with sensitivity of breast cancer cells to radiotherapy. eIF4E expression has a potential contribution to therapeutic strategy mak-ing, meanwhile, it is a promising effective target of breast cancer treatment.
6.Fluorescence in situ hybridization in multiple myeloma
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(9):703-706
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a malignancy of the plasma cells, characterized by complex karyotype and chromosome instability. These cytogenetic changes are important prognostic indicators in MM patients. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) can analyze a large number of interphase cells without metaphase. It is simple, reproducible, highly sensitive and specific. It has more prominent advantages in the research of MM without informative metaphase. FISH can detect microdeletions in genetic loci that are closely related to disease prognosis, therefore significantly improves the abnormal clone detection rate. FISH provides a theoretical foundation for the diagnosis, clinical classification and prognosis prediction, and can guide the personalized therapy of MM.
7.Progress of miRNA in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia
International Journal of Pediatrics 2012;(6):595-597
The non-coding miRNA is classified into different families according to their gene structure and function. It is involved in many cellular processes, such as proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis.Recently it has been proved that miRNA has played an important role in the pathogenesis of many cancers, acting as oncogenic miRNAs or tumor suppressor, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).Because miRNA is highly connected with the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prognosis and drug-resistant of childhood ALL,it might be a new breakout for the diagnosis and treatment of ALL.This paper reviews current literatures on miRNA and childhood ALL.
8.Progress of relationship between HOXB gene and leukemia
International Journal of Pediatrics 2012;(6):609-611,614
HOXB gene is a homeobox gene family member and plays an important role in hematopoietic regulation. The abnormal expression is involved in leukemia.High expression of different subtypes influence leukemia progress and phenotype, and are closely related with leukemia treatment and prognosis. The higher the expression level is,the worse prognosis is.Many methods such as transgenic, inhibit of P21,combined with cytokine or MS-5 cell lines( all-trans retinoic acid) at the genetic level can reveal the pathogenesis of leukemi a and provide theoretical basis for treatment and prognosis.
9.Statistical Analysis of Papers Published in a Special Hospital from 2004 to 2013
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2015;28(1):94-98
Bibliometrical method was used in this article to analyze the publications in a hospital from 2004 to 2013.Results show that the number of publications increased during 8 years, and the quality has been improved consistently. However, the rate of clinician participation in research and the present of core authors were still on the lower side.Besides, the age structure of core authors is steady and lack of growth.Based on this analysis,we summarized the past experience and explored the strategies of research management.
10.Detection of Helicobacter Pylori Functional OipA Gene and Its Significance
Journal of Modern Laboratory Medicine 2015;(1):42-45
Objective To evaluate the relationship between functional oipA gene of Helicobacterpylori and digestive disease. Methods Biopsy gastric mucosa were obtained from 360 patients who would get gastroscopy.Hp were isolated from urease positive samples and partly urease negative samples, and improved by microscope, urease experiment and 16SrRNA PCR. OipA and cagA of the isolates were obtained by PCR and the statas of oipA signal region were analysised after sequencing. Analyze the relevance between functional oipA gene of Helicobacter pylori and digestive disease. Results 106 isolated Hp were obtained,in which 72 strains with cagA gene positive,87 with oipA signal region gene positive (80 the statas of signal region was on and 1 was off;6 could not be decided). The frequency of functional oipA were both significantly higher than cagA in ulcer and atrophic gastritis. Conclusion The relationship between functional oipA gene and digestive disease was more closer than that of cagA.
