Objective To explore the acquired immunity against Schistosoma japonicum infections in the offspring of mother-mice infected with Trichinella spiralis. Methods The offspring of mother-mice infected with Trichinella spiralis and the mice after passively transferring the offspring's sera were sacrificed at day 42 post infection with S. japonicum cercariae. The percentage of reduction in worm burdens was calculated to determine the protective effects. Results Comparing with the control group, the reduction rates of the worm were 24.31% in the offspring, 18.65% and 20.77% in mice with passively transferring the offspring's sera by intravenous injection and muscular injection respectively. Conclusion The offspring of mother-mice infected with Trichinella spiralis and the mice with passively transferring the offspring's sera could acquire protective immunity against Schistosoma japonicum infections.

Objective To evaluate dose variations induced by gravity of multi-leaf collimator to provide references for clinical intensity-modulated radiotherapy. Methods Two-dimensional dose distributions in the central plane of IMRT fields were measured by use of a 2D ion chamber array. All measurements were repeated at two collimator angles (C=0 and 90°),for each of the following gantry angles:G=0 and 270°.Comparisons were made to dose distributions generated at G=0°and their differences were analyzed using gamma index analysis (3%/3 mm and 1%/1 mm). Results Under the radiation field of 10 cm×10 cm,the gamma passing rate was higher than 99% for 3% 3 mm anch close to 95% for 1%/1mm Under a 3%/3mm error standard, the average matching rate for step & shoot fields was (96.46±0.33)% and for DMLC fields was (94.67±0.54)% at C=0°;The average matching rate for step & shoot fields was (94.59±0.47)% and for DMLC fields was (92.60±0.52)% at C=90°.Under a 1%/1mm error standard, the average matching rate for step & shoot fields was (89.83 ±1.06)% and for DMLC fields was (85.84±0.57)% at C=0°;The average matching rate for step & shoot fields was (86.91 ±1.71)% and for DMLC fields was (83.89±0.69)% at C=90°.Concusion MLC weight effect affects IMRT delivery dose, and DMLC fields are more sensitive to gravity than step & shoot fields.

Objective To analyze the alterations of serum protein in ESCC,compare alterations of serum protein with and without LM. Methods Serum samples were collected from 64 ESCC patients before operation and 60 cases with gender and age-matched healthy controls, special serum protein or peptide spectra was determined by SELDI-TOF-MS measurement after treating the sample onto weak cation exchange (WCX2) protein chip for each case. The serum protein profiles were compared by Biomarker Wizard Software between the ESCC patients and healthy controls, and among ESCC patients stratified according to gender, age, location of tumor, size of tumor, infiltration and with or without LM. Results (1)120 protein peaks were detected at the molecular range of 0 to 50000 in comparing of ESCC patients and healthy controls. 31 significantly different peaks were found between ESCC patients and healthy controls (P <0.05), 10 peaks were selected(P<0.01). (2) One significantly different protein peak (m/z 4174) was detected between T1 and T3, T4 (P<0.05). (3) There were three significantly different protein peaks (m/z 3970,4174 and 4277) between with LM and without LM (P<0.05).The peak (m/z 4174) was shared by two groups above. (4) No significant different protein was found when patients stratified according to gender, age, location of tumor and size of tumor. Conclusion Significant difference exists in serum proteins between ESCC patients and healthy controls. There are statistical difference exists in serum proteins between T1 and T3, T4, with LM and without LM. This difference is less than between ESCC patients and healthy controls. Some commonness is existed in serum protein fingerprint for patients with serious infiltration and with LM.

Objective To explore the mechanism of Eomecon chionantha alkaloids (ECA) against Oncomelania hupensis by means of observing the effect of ECA on the genital system of O.hupensis. Methods O.hupensis was dissected after immersed in ECA for 48 hours; the testes and ovary were took out and made for electron microscopy samples by the conventional method. The change of structure was observed by Hitach H-600 Transmission Electron Microscope. Results After immersed in ECA, oocyte of O.hupensis was obviously atrophied and spermatogonium pyknosis occured. Conclusion ECA could damage the genital system of O.hupensis seriously.

Objective To understand the molluscicidal effects of Eomecon Chionantha Alkaloids (ECA) on Oncomelania hupensis. Methods By using immersion methods for different durations of time the molluscicidal effects of ECA and the rate of snails climbing-upward were observed. Results While the solution concentrations and temperatures of ECA were at 1.25 mg/L,30℃;2.5 mg/L,25℃;5 mg/L and 10 mg/L,25℃ respectively, and the snails were immersed for 72 hours, the mortality of Oncomelania snails were 100%. The hatching rates of Oncomelania eggs after immersed for 72 h in the solution of 5 mg/L were 0~10%. ECA showed an inhibiting effect on the snails' climbing-upward in the concentrations of 5 mg/L. Conclusion ECA has molluscicidal effect on Oncomelania and is one of the potential plant molluscicides.
7.Non-linear registration of MR brain images integrated with machine learning.
Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2006;30(4):268-270
This paper presents a machine learning method to select best geometric features for deformable brain registration for each brain location. By incorporating those learned best attribute vector into the framework of HAMMER registration algorithm, The accuracy has increased by about 10% in estimating the simulated deformation fields. At the same time, on real MR brain images, we have found a great deal of improvement of registration in cortical regions.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2009;15(2):137-138
Objective To discuss the methods and effects of interferon atomization combined with mouth nursing in the treatment of hand-fcot-and-mouth disease. Methods 46 patients were randomly divided into 2 groups, which were both given the regular defervesce and heteropathy. Moreover, the treatment group was treated with 50u α-2b of interferon atomization combined with mouth nursing. Results Compared with the control group, the treatment group took less time on defervesce and recovery of mouth ulcer. And the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). Conclusions Interferon atomization combined with mouth nursing can treat hand-foot-and-mouth disease effectively.
9.Multi-target extraction algorithm based on edge restriction and attraction field regularization.
Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2006;30(2):97-116
The topologically-adaptable model is an effective method for the contour detection of multiple objects on an image. However, it meets many problems when we apply it to MR brain images, such as poor convergence to boundary concavities, resulting from the broken boundary, and miserable anti-noise ability. In this paper, we proposes a new algorithm, named multi-target extraction algorithm based on edge restriction and attraction field regularization, to overcome these shortcomings. This new algorithm uses prior knowledge about target to perform edge restriction to get the only edge of the object of interest and to regularize attraction field to enlarge attraction field. Results show that the new algorithm can extract the target contour quickly and accurately when we apply it in MR brain images.

10.An approach to adaptive stereo brain image's segmentation.
Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2006;30(2):88-87
This paper presents a new method for automatically segmenting brain parenchyma and cerebrospinal fluid in routine single-echo MR images. This method is based on the coupled Markov models. They can model intensity measurement at each voxel site to implement piecewise smoothness constraint, and at the same time, model discontinuities to control the interaction between each pair of the neighboring voxel. The method is to derive the maximum a posteriori estimate of the regions and the boundaries by using Bayesian inference and neighborhood constraints based on Markov random fields (MRFs) models. This method has the following desirable properties: (1) the brain image can be well classified into white matter, grey matter and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and (2) it has a better robustness to noise and intensity inhomogeneity.
