The partial segment of Marek′s disease virus (MDV) glycoprotein B (gB) gene was amplified by PCR. The segment was cloned into pET-28a vector to obtain the recombinant pET-gB plasmid. The recombinant plasmid was transformed into E.coli BL21,and expressed in very high level as inclusion body after induced with 1.0mmol/L IPTG. The inclusion body was solubilized in urea (8mol/L) . The purified protein was obtained by use of His?Bind affinity chromatography. Mice were immunized i.p. by the purified protein to make the polyclonal antibody. The titer of the antibody by indirect ELISA was 1?10~ -5 . Moreover, the analysis by western blot proved that antibody was specific to the recombinant protein. These works lay a favorable foundation for the study of the immune response by MDV gB.

Objective To investigate the change on monoamine neurotransmitter in cerebral cortex motor area of traumatic asphyxia canines and provide scientific basis for its therapy. Methods The model of canine traumatic asphyxia was established, the change on monoamine neurotransmitter in cerebral cortex (motor area) and the products of metabolism during different time were tested with HPLC DC method. Results At 2 h after damage in cerebral cortex 5 hydroxyindolecetic acid (5 HIAA) elevated remarkably; At 8 h after da mage 5 hydroxytryptamine (5 HT), homovanillic acid (HVA) elevated; but there was no obvious change on norepinephrine(NE) and 3,4 dihydroxyphenyl acetic acid (DOPAC).Conclusion The monoamine neurotransmitters might play an important role in the pathological course of secondary brain injury after traumatic asphyxia. The utilization of 5 HT antagonists or compound inhibitor at early stage was a reliable method for treating brain injury after traumatic asphyxia.

Full text of literatures on randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of intracoronary infusion of autologous bone marrow-derived stem cells (BMSCs) transplantation in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) published at home and abroad were systematically retrieved and reviewed from PubMed database and the China Full Text Journal database to assess its efficacy and safety. Fifteen RCTs were included in a recta-analysis with RevMan version 5. 0 software after strict and standard screening. Results showed that global left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in the patients with BMSCs transplantation improved significantly ( P < 0. 01 ), but no obvious change in their left ventricular end-diastolic volume (LVESV) was observed. Occurrence of end-stage cardiovascular events also decreases significantly ( OR =0. 51, 95% CI =0. 36-0. 72) in patients with AMI.

Procalcionin ( PCT) is a soluble protein liberated into the circulation of patients in response to severe systemic in-fection, in particular by bacterial infection. It is used as the most accurate biomarker for the diagnosis of sepsis. This review briefly de-scribes the induction of PCT, the comparison of PCT and other markers of sepsis, the application of PCT measurement in confirmation or exclusion of diagnosis of sepsis, the assessment of severity and treatment effectiveness of systemic infection, the application of PCT in guiding individual and specific treatment of antibiotics, and the anormaly situation of elevated levels of PCT in patients who do not have sepsis.

Interferon (IFN) is one of the commonly used anti-HBV drug in clinic,in which IFN-λ is a new type of IFN,including IFN-λ1,IFN-λ2 and IFN-λ3 (also called IL-29,IL-28A and IL-28B,respectively).Researches in recent years show that IFN-λ3 (IL-28B) polymorphism seems to be involved in the onset of hepatitis B,the response to antiviral therapy and the outcome of HBV infection. This paper reviews the correlations between IL-28B polymorphism and the spontaneous clearance of HBV,the progression of HBV infection, the occurrence of liver cancer and the therapeutic effect of IFN treatment.

Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2014;30(6):543-545
Objective To analyze the diagnostic values of ultrasonography and computed tomography (CT)for gallbladder adenomyomatosis. Methods The ultrasound and CT findings of 28 cases of pathologically confirmed gallbladder adenomyomatosis in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The diagnostic values of the two imaging tools for gallbladder adenomyomatosis were analyzed with the pathological diagnosis as the gold standard.Comparison of rates was made by chi-square test;multiple comparisons of rates were made by partition of chi-square.Results Before operation, among the 28 patients,15 were diagnosed with gallbladder adenomyomatosis by ultrasonography, and 9 were diagnosed by CT;the diag-nostic rate of CT was 32.14%,and the diagnostic rate of ultrasonography was 53.57%.The chi-square test showed no difference between the di-agnostic rates of ultrasonography and CT for gallbladder adenomyomatosis (χ2 =2.63,P=0.10>0.05).In addition, the statistical results showed no differences between the diagnostic rates of ultrasonography and CT for various types of gallbladder adenomyomatosis (segmental type:χ2 =0,P=0.11>0.0125;diffuse type:χ2 =2.57,P=1.00>0.0125;focal type:χ2 =1.42,P=0.23>0.0125).Conclusion CT and ultrasonography are two important imaging methods for the diagnosis of gallbladder adenomyomatosis. The detection rate of gallbladder adenomyomatosis can be in-creased through the combination of convex array probe and linear array probe in ultrasonography.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(23):-
[Objective]A prospective comparative evaluation of fulcrum bending radiographs(fulcrum)to determine curve flexibility and predict surgical correction in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS).[Method]A total of 64 consecutive patients with AlS according to inclusion and exclusion criterias who underwent surgical treatment were studied. All curve types were single-curve and the PUMC classification were Ia/Ib/Ic.All patients were divided into 4 groups according to the magnitude of Cobbs angle in preoperative standing anteroposterior radiograph:moderate thoracic curve(20 cases,40?60?),moderate lumbar curve(21cases,35?60?).The Cobbs angles were measured and the flexibility ratio was determined on fulcrum radiograph. The amount of correction obtained by fulcrum radiograph was compared with the amount of surgical correction by evaluating the differences from surgery as absolute values. The correlation of Cobbs angles between postoperative standing anteroposterior radiograph and fulcrum radiograph were analyzed.[Result]For the moderate thoracic curves, curve flexibility provided by fulcrum radiograph has no significant difference(P=0.141)from surgical curve correction, there was no significant difference(P=0.094)between the mean Cobbs angle on fulcrum bending and that on postoperative standing anteroposterior radiograph. The postoperative Cobbs angle was positively correlated with the preoperative Cobbs angle on fulcrum radiograph and the correlation degree in the moderate lumbar curve was relatively weak.[Conclusion]Fulcrum radiograph can only be used to assess the flexibility and correction of moderate thoracic curves in AIS.Pedicle screw instrumentation provides even more correction.
