Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2014;(10):1485-1488
This restrospective case included 40 patients(79eyes)who underwent implantable collamer lens or toric implantable collamer lens implacement. Uncorrected and corrected distance visual acuities, refractions, posterior chamber intraocular lens vault, intraocular pressure, endothelial cell loss, cylinder axis of the toric intraocular lens were evaluated for moderate to high myopia and astigmatism. 2 years or above after operation mean uncorrected and corrected distance visual acuities were 0.830±0.269 and 0.980±0.241 respectively. The mean spherical equiva-lent was ( -0.66±1.08) D postoperatively. 29 eyes had implanted toric intraocular lens, which 24 eyes were un-der 15 degrees of the intended axis, 1 eye was under 30 degrees of the intended axis and 4 eyes were above 30 de-grees of the intended axis. The mean intraocular pressure was(1.76±0.41)kPa. The endothelial cell density loss was 11.18%. The mean vaults at 6 months and 2 years or above were (0.510±0.141)mm and (0.442±0.117) mm respectively. A statistically significant difference was found ( P <0.05 ) . Two sets of data were in the normal range. Phakic posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation appears safe and effective, which provides long-term predictable, stable refractive results.

OBJECTIVETo report a case of simple congenital bilateral ejaculatory duct absence (EDA) complicated with seminal vesicle cyst and review the relevant literature in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
METHODSWe retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of a case of bilateral congenital EDA complicated with seminal vesicle cyst, reviewed the relevant literature at home and abroad, and comprehensively analyzed the embryonic development, diagnosis, and treatment of congenital EDA.
RESULTSThe patient was a 23-year-old man, present at the clinic for infertility after married for a year. Vasography and other imaging examinations confirmed simple congenital bilateral EDA complicated with seminal vesicle cyst. Pathologic biopsy showed normal spermatogenic function of the testes.
CONCLUSIONCongenital EDA originates from embryonic developmental defect of the mesonephric duct, and it can be confirmed by vasography. Transurethral incision of the ejaculatory duct and intracytoplasmic sperm injection can be employed for the treatment of bilateral EDA.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(05):-
Survivin expresssion in embryo spleen, embryo kidney, embryo liver and in many cancer tissues was determined by RT-PCR, while not in the health liver tissue. Construct the engineered Escherischia coli expressing human survivin and identify the expressed human survivin by Westen-blot. The combination activity of Survivin and RhSmac was determined in vitro. L929 cells transferred with Survivin can survive longer than which transferred with BSA.

Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture plus early-stage rehabilitation training on the neurological function and levels of serum ischemia-modified albumin (IMA) and neuron-specific enolase (NSE) in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Method Sixty-eight patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 34 cases each. The control group was intervened by conventional medications, while the treatment group was intervened by acupuncture plus early-stage rehabilitation training in addition to the medications given to the control group. The two groups were both treated once a day, 10 d as a treatment course. Three treatment courses later, the changes of serum IMA and NSE levels were observed; the Modified Edinburgh-Scandinavian Stroke Scale (MESSS), Barthel Index (BI) and Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) scores were compared before and after the treatment.Result The MESSS, BI and FMA scores were significantly changed in both groups after the intervention (P<0.01). After the intervention, the MESSS, BI and FMA scores in the treatment group were significantly different from those in the control group (P<0.05). The serum IMA and NSE levels were significantly changed in both groups after the intervention (P<0.01). After the treatment, the serum IMA and NSE levels in the treatment group were markedly lower than those in the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture medication combined plus early-stage rehabilitation training can promote the recovery of neurological function of acute cerebral infarction patients, which is related to the down-regulation of serum NSE and IMA levels.

Aim To investigate the effect of isoflurane on the phosphorylation of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)in the hippocampus of neonatal rats, and the effect of p38 MAPK pathway on isoflurane-in-duced neuronal apoptosis. Methods Forty-eight neo-natal rats on postnatal day 7 were assigned randomly into four groups:DMSO group (group Air +DMSO), p38 MAPK inhibitor SB203580 group (group Air +SB20 ),isoflurane +DMSO group (group Iso +DM-SO),and isoflurane +SB203580 group (group Iso +SB20 ).Rats were exposed to air or isoflurane (volume fraction of 0.01 1 )for 4h.The p38 inhibitor SB203580 (20 nmol)or DMSO (volume fraction of 0.1 )5μl was intraventricularly administered 30 min before the expo-sure.The brains of some rats in each group were per-fused and embedded by paraffin 6h after the exposure. Neuronal apoptosis in the hippocampal CA1 area was detected by terminal deoxyribonucleotide transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL)(n =6). The hippocampal tissues of the other rats in each group were dissected 6h after the exposure, and the protein expressions of phospho-p38 (p-p38 ),p38,cleaved caspase-3,phospho-NF-κB (p-NF-κB ),Bcl-2 and Bax were detected by Westem blot (n =6).Results The number of TUNEL positive cells in the hippocam-pal CA1 region in group Iso +DMSO increased by 4.8 fold compared with that in group Air +DMSO (P <0.01 ),while the number of TUNEL positive cells in group Iso +SB20 decreased by 3 /5 compared with that in group Iso +DMSO (P <0.01 ).The protein expres-sion of cleaved caspase-3 in group Iso +DMSO signifi-cantly increasd (P =0.003)compared to that in group Air +DMSO,which was significantly decreasd in group Iso +SB20 (P =0.007 ).In addition, isoflurane also increased the protein expression of p-p38,p-NF-κB and Bax,decreased the level of Bcl-2,and reduced the ratio of Bcl-2 /Bax compared with control animals (P <0.01 ,P =0.004,P <0.01 ,P <0.01 ,P <0.01 ,respectively).Howerver,SB203580 partly at-tenuated the isoflurane-induced protein change above. Conclusion Isoflurane induces neuroapoptosis in neo-natal rat hippocampus by the activation of p38 MAPK pathway.

An electrochemical aptasensor for Pb2+ was constructed based on the layer-by-layer assembly of graphene (GR) and anthraquinone -2-sulfonic acid sodium salt (AQMS) on the surface of Pb2+ aptamer. The mercapto-modified Pb2+ aptamer was first anchored on a gold electrode. Then the highly conductive material of GR was adsorbed on apt through the unique π-π stacking interaction, which was further used for the assembly and signal amplification of the electroactive AQMS. Upon interaction with Pb2+ ions, the apt on the aptasensor undergone conformational switch from a single-stranded form to the G-quadruplex structure, causing the GR assembled with AQMS releasing from the electrode surface into solution. As a result, the electrochemical signal of AQMS on the aptasensor was substantially reduced. Base on this concept, a useful platform for detection of Pb2+ ions was constructed. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the attenuation of peak currents (△Ipa ) showed linear relationship with the logarithm of Pb2+ concentrations (lgCPb2+) over the range from 5. 0×10-10 to 5. 0×10-8 mol/ L. The detection limit was estimated to be 6. 0×10-11 mol/ L.
