Objective To understand the depression status and its influencing factors of Chenzhou rural widowed elderly with different genders. Methods A random sample of 342 widowed elderly from 30 villages was investigated using the Geriatric Depression Scale and a self-designed questionnaire. Results Widowed elderly depression detection rate was 29.8%,depressive symptoms among elderly women detection rate was 34.7%,higher than men's depressive symptoms detection rate, which was 22.9%.Binary Logistic regression analysis showed:Alone, decreased self-care ability was the common risk factors of depressive symptoms of widowed elderly. The impact on men was bigger than on female.Age,chronic diseases were the main factors affecting depression status of elderly men,and economic security was the main factors affecting the depression status of elderly women. Conclusions The incidence of depressive symptoms in rural widowed elderly is high, but there are differences between widowed elderly with different genders in depression status and influencing factors. Therefore the community workers need to take targeted interventions to promote mental health for the elderly.

The aim of this study was to determine the raising anticancer effects of resveratrol (Res) on paclitaxel (PA) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell line A549. The 10 µg/ml of Res had no effect on human fetal lung fibroblast MRC-5 cells or on A549 cancer cells and the 5 or 10 µg/ml of PA also had no effect on MRC-5 normal cells. PA-L (5 µg/ml) and PA-H (10 µg/ml) had the growth inhibitory effects in NSCLC cell line A549, and Res increased these growth inhibitory effects. By flow cytometry experiment, after Res (5 µg/ml)+PA-H (10 µg/ml) treatment, the A549 cells showed the most apoptosic cells compared to other group treatments, and after additional treatment with Res, the apoptosic cells of both two PA concentrations were raised. Res+PA could reduce the mRNA and protein expressions of COX-2, and Res+PA could reduce the COX-2 related genes of VEGF, MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-9, NF-κB, Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, procollagen I, collagen I, collagen III and CTGF, TNF-α, IL-1β, iNOS and raise the TIMP-1, TIMP-2, TIMP-3, IκB-α, p53, p21, caspase-3, caspase-8, caspase-9, Bax genes compared to the control cells and the PA treated cells. From these results, it can be suggested that Res could raise the anticancer effects of PA in A549 cells, thus Res might be used as a good sensitizing agent for PA.

Objective To investigate the current situation of career decision-making self-efficacy of higher vocational nursing students during practice, and analyze the relationship between professional commitment, emotional intelligence and career decision-making self-efficacy to provide reference for the career development, career guidance and career education. Methods Nursing students from 6 classes (less than 3 months until the end of clinical practice) in Changsha Health Vocational College were randomly selected from April to May 2016. The questionnaires were distributed and taken back on the spot. The questionnaires consisted of general information questionnaire, career decision-making self-efficacy scale, professional commitment scale and emotional intelligence scale. The Chinese version of SPSS 22.0 was used for data statistics and analysis. Results The average score of career decision-making self-efficacy was (3.16±0.43). In self-assessment, information-acquisition,planning and problem-solving aspects, the differences of students between 3-year system (starting point from high school) and 5-year system (starting point from junior school) were statistically significant (t=2.72,2.70,2.88,2.54;P<0.05). Statistically significant difference was observed between the scores of the only-child students and the non-only-child students (t=2.53,3.09,3.71,2.43;P<0.05). Professional commitment, most dimensions of emotional intelligence were positively correlated with career decision-making self-efficacy (r=0.568,0.361,0.509,0.435,0.390,0.360,0.373,0.176,0.348;P<0.05). Emotive commitment, ideal commitment, normative commitment and emotional development were positive predictors of career decision-making self-efficacy scores which explained 38.1% of the total variance (t=3.492, 2.633,2.116,1.862;P<0.10).Conclusions The level of career decision-making self-efficacy of higher vocational nursing during practice was not high. Professional commitment and emotional intelligence affect the career decision-making self-efficacy. Higher vocational college should improve levels of professional commitment and emotional intelligence of the students, strengthen the cultivation of professional role and promote successful employment of nursing students.

Objective To design and test the reliability and validity of patient admission nursing assessment sheet of integrated Chinese and westem medicine ward. Methods On the basis of literature research, with traditional Chinese medicine"look, hear, ask and pulse-taking"as the basic framework, physical discrimination as the evaluation outcome, combined with the general nursing evaluation points of patients admitted to hospital,we designed the patient admission nursing assessment sheet of integrated Chinese and westem medicine ward, and then we adopted the Delphi method to conduct an inquiry on the draft of the admission sheet. In April 2022,3 clinical nurses were selected to evaluate 160 admitted patients from Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Department of a tertiary A comprehensive hospital in Hubei Province, and Fleiss'Kappa coefficient and content validity coefficient were used to test the reliability and validity. Results The recovery rates of the 2 rounds of expert correspondence questionnaires were 95.45%and 100%.The authority coefficients were 0.931 and 0.957;the Kendall harmony coefficients were 0.101 and 0.106(P<0.01);the importance scores of articles were 4.13~4.82;the coefficient of variation was 0.07~0.19 in 2nd round of expert correspondence. The final nursing assessment list for inpatients in the integrated Chinese and Western medicine ward included 3 parts:general demographic data assessment,four-Chinese medicine diagnosis assessment/physical discrimination, and nursing risk assessment, and there are 32 evaluation contents in the assessment sheet. The Fleiss'Kappa coefficient of this assessment sheet was 0.602(P<0.001);the item content validity index was 0.857~1.000,and the overall content validity index was 0.920.Conclusion The admission nursing assessment sheet for inpatients in integrated Chinese and Westem medicine wards has good reliability and validity, and it is suitable for the integrated Chinese and Westem medicine wards.
