Objective To investigate the relationship among 18 F-fluorodexyglucose (FDG) PET, pattern of lipiodol retention CT and serum ?-fetoprotein(AFP) in evaluating the effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods TACE was performed in thirty-five patients with HCC. 18 F-FDG PET and lipiodol-CT examination were performed after TACE, and thus the patterns of lipiodol retention, and the tumor necrosis rates semi-quantitatively by 18 F-FDG PET were obtained with simultaneous calculation of the decrease percentage of serum AFP before and after TACE. Results The patterns of lipiodol retention were divided into four types; A. dense type (n=12), B. rarity type (n=13), C. scattering type (n=7) and D. empty type (n=3). The positive correlation between the tumor necrosis rate (7%~95%) and the decrease percentage of AFP(0~100%) were found (r=0.761 P

The concentrations of prostaglandin in high mobility group box-1 ( HMGB1 ) and highsensitive C-reactive protein (Hs-CRP) in serum and peritoneal fluid were detected in 76 patients with endometriosis (study group) and 30 patients without endometriosis (ovary cysts or uterine myoma, as control group). The peritoneal fluids were collected during laparoscopic operation, and the serum samples were collected before surgery. The HMGB1 and Hs-CRP concentrations in serum and peritoneal fluid of study group were significantly higher than those of control group, ( 8. 2 ± 0. 8) mg/L vs. (2. 1 ±. 0. 2) mg/L、 ( 14. 4 ±3.0) mg/L vs. (4.5 ±2.3) mg/L (both P<0. 01);HMGB1 and Hs-CRP levels in serum and peritoneal fluid of stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ endometriosis were significantly higher than those of stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ, ( 9. 2 ± 0. 8) mg/L vs.(6.7 ±0.7) mg/L,(18.7 ±2.9) mg/L vs. (11.2 ±2. 8) mg/L,(6.5 ±0.6) mg/L vs. (3.4 ±0.5) mg/L,(8.4 ±2.7) mg/L vs. (5.4 ±2.4) mg/L (all P <0.05). The concentrations of HMGB1 were positively correlated with Hs-CRP in endometriosis group (r =0. 72, P <0. 01 ). The results indicate that concentrations of HMGB1 and Hs-CRP may be of value in assessing the severity of endometrosis.

Objective:To analyze ultrasonographic manifestations and genetic etiology of nine fetuses with 7q11.23 duplication syndrome. Methods:Ultrasonographic finding, pregnancy outcome and follow-up of nine fetuses detected at the Prenatal Diagnosis Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2017 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Results:The fetuses were found to harbor a duplication in the 7q11.23 region by chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA). Among these, five had shown ventriculomegaly, including four syndromic and one non-syndromic. For the remainders, one had ventricular septal defect and mild tricuspid regurgitation, one had echogenic intracardiac focus, whilst another two were normal. Five couples had accepted parental verification, and the results confirmed that the 7q11.23 duplication carried by their fetuses were de novo in origin. Following genetic counseling, seven couples had opted to terminate their pregnancies. Two fetuses were delivered at full term, and follow-up had found no abnormalities. Conclusion:Prenatal ultrasonographic manifestations of fetuses with 7q11.23 duplication syndrome are variable. CMA can provide assistance for their diagnosis and genetic counseling.
