Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2010;45(2):274-8
Both AM1 semi-empirical quantum chemistry method and HF/3-21g* ab initio method were employed to get related parameters or descriptors, particularly, the parameters of the solvation energy delta G with polarizable continuum model, for 42 anti-HIV 5-phenyl-1-phenylamino-1H-imidazole derivatives with known cytotoxicity. With parameters of quantum chemical calculation and traditional ones, 2 multiple linear regression models were obtained. The better regression equation has a high correlation coefficient (r = 0.938) and a low standard deviation (s = 0.125) and the squared correlation coefficient Q2 of the cross-validation is 0.799 (literaure: 0.740) by leave-one-out method. The results have certain significance for the design of new anti-HIV-1 drugs with lower cytotoxicity.

Objective To investigate the incidence of occult pancreatobiliary reflux and to evaluate its relation to gallbladder epithelial dysplasia and cancer. Methods From July 2006 to Feb 2008,956 cases underwent selective biliary procedure or preoperative endoscopic retrograde cholangiopanereatography (ERCP), bile was collected and amylase was measured. All removed gallbladders were pathologically examined for dysplasia and cancer. Results Occult pancreatobihary reflux was found in 75 of 754 patients in this study, with an incidence of 9. 9%. The biliary amylase values in the patients with occult pancreatobiliary reflux and in controls were 7701±20 378 IU/L and 16±51 IU/L, respectively ( P <0. 01 ).Gallbladder dysplasia and cancer were found in 31.0% and 3.4% of the patients with occult pancreatobiliaryreflux, respectively, and both were higher than those in the patients without pancreatobiliary reflux ( P <0. 05). In the patients with occult pancreatobiliary reflux, the biliary amylase level with gallbladder dysplasia or cancer was 2388 ± 2745 IU/L and was higher than those without gallbladder dysplasia or cancer (P < 0. 01 ). Conclusions With an incidence of 9.9% in patients of normal pancreatobiliary junction, the occult pancreatobihary reflux may contribute to the pathogenesis of gallbladder epithelial dysplasia and cancer.

To investigate the effect of ethanolic extract from Artemisia Argyi Folium on blood glucose and blood lipids in diabetic mice, ICR mice were induced by intraperitoneal injection of 35 mg/kg streptozotocin (STZ) and a high-carbohydrate/high-fat diet to construct type 2 diabetes mellitus model. Diabetic mice were randomly divided into three groups: the model group (5 mL/kg 0.5% CMC-Na), the Artemisia Argyi Folium ethanolic extract low-dose group (100 mg/kg ) and high-dose group (400 mg/kg ). During the treatment for 6 weeks, the amount of drinking water and food intake of mice were recorded every day. Blood glucose and body weight were recorded every week. After treatment for 6 weeks, serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),and oral glucose tolerance (OGTT) were measured. The results showed that the amount of drinking water and food intake of mice significantly decreased (P < 0.01) in the Artemisia Argyi Folium ethanolic extract high-dose group; oral glucose tolerance was significantly improved (P < 0.01) and the contents of TC, TG and LDL-C were significantly decreased in the Artemisia Argyi Folium ethanolic extract low-dose group (P < 0.01). The ethanolic extract from Artemisia Argyi Folium could significantly improve the glucose and lipid metabolic disorder in T2DM mice in a dose-dependent manner.

Objective Admission hyperglycemia is thought to be related to poor neurological function and high mortality in patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (sICH).However, it is not known whether preictal glycemic status affects functional outcome of sICH.The study is aimed to disclose the association between preictal glycemic status and neurological outcomes in patients with acute sICH.Methods Three hundred and thirty-two patients with sICH, admitted to our hospital from January 2011 to September 2013 (within 24 h of onset), were chosen in our study.Pre-stroke glycemic status, represented by hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), was determined the next day after admission.Patients were categorized into four groups according to HbA1c values (<6%, 6.1%-7%, 7.1%-8% and ≥8%).The correlations of HbA1c in the four groups with different variables (NIHSS scores, hematoma volume, modified Rankin scale [mRS] scores) were analyzed using Spearman correlation test.Patients were also categorized into two groups according to hematoma volume (≤25 mL or >25 mL) or mRS scores (≤2 or >2).Logistic regression analyses were used to determine the relative independent risk factors for both hematoma volume and mRS scores. Results The hematoma volume, NIHSS scores, mRS scores, and number of patients with diabetes mellitus were significantly different among the four groups (P<0.05).Blood glucose at admission and HbA1c level were significantly correlated with hematoma volume (r=0.085, P=0.027;r=0.164, P=0.014).Age and HbA1c level were significantly correlated with mRS scores (r=0.027, P=0.019;r=0.199, P=0.003).Conclusion HbA1C alone could serve as a better predictor of poor outcome after sICH than glucose at admission;HbA 1 C is the independent risk factor of poor prognosis for sICH.

Objective:To evaluate the correlation of community management index of essential hypertension and type 2 diabetes with the probability of premature mortality of major chronic diseases. Methods:From 2016 to 2018, the management of essential hypertension and type 2 diabetes were obtained from annual report of comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases in communities of Zhejiang province. The death data of chronic diseases were obtained from Information Management System of Chronic Diseases of Zhejiang province and annual population data were obtained from Public Security Bureau of Zhejiang Province. The management of essential hypertension and type 2 diabetes in communities of Zhejiang Province from 2016 to 2018 was described. The death status of major chronic diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, malignant tumors, diabetes and chronic respiratory diseases, in the same period was also described. Spearman correlation analysis and linear regression model were used to explore the correlation of community management of essential hypertension and type 2 diabetes with the probability of premature mortality of major chronic diseases. Results:The number of essential hypertension patients under standardized management, blood pressure control and regular medication increased from 3.127 3, 2.811 5 and 3.569 7 million in 2016 to 3.355 9, 3.151 8 and 4.010 6 million in 2018, respectively. The number of type 2 diabetes patients with standardized management, blood glucose control and regular medication increased from 0.805 5, 0.687 5 and 0.913 4 million in 2016 to 0.912 6, 0.798 7 and 1.064 8 million in 2018, respectively. The standardized mortality rate of chronic diseases decreased from 403.07/100 000 in 2016 to 380.07/100 000 in 2018. The proportion of premature deaths of chronic diseases decreased from 28.39% in 2016 to 26.90% in 2018. The proportion of deaths from major chronic diseases in all chronic diseases decreased from 90.96% in 2016 to 90.69% in 2018.The probability of premature mortality decreased from 10.68% in 2016 to 9.67% in 2018. The spearman correlation analysis showed that the blood pressure control and regular drug use were negatively correlated with the probability of premature death of major chronic diseases ( r values were -0.367 and -0.392; P values were 0.035 and 0.024). According to the linear regression model analysis, with increase of 100 000 of essential hypertension control cases or regular medication use cases of type 2 diabetes, the probability of premature death of major chronic diseases decreased by 0.47% (95% CI: 0.39%, 0.54%) or 1.31% (95% CI: 1.12%, 1.50%), respectively. Conclusion:From 2016 to 2018, the community management of essential hypertension and type 2 diabetes was negatively correlated with probability of premature death of major chronic diseases in Zhejiang province.
