Journal of Third Military Medical University 1988;0(05):-
The m. extensor hallucis brevis and m. extensor digitorum brevis and their blood vessels and nerves of 30 feet of Chinese cadavers are observed and measured under the operative microscope. A. tarsea lateralis and the lateral branch of nervus peroneus profundus are the best choice as the pedicle of the musculo-cutaneous flaps at dorsalis pedis. According to necessities the size of muscle may be detected randomly from medial to lateral.
3.Effects of bepridil, nimodipine and nicardipine on the activity of CaM dependent protein kinase Ⅱ from mouse cerebrum in vitro
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
The effects of bepridil, ni-modipine and nicardipine on the activity of CaM - dependent protein kinase Ⅱ from mouse cerebrum were studied in vitro. Tt was found that bepridil significantly inhibitied the activity of CaM - PK Ⅱ with an IC50 value of 0. 3 mmol ? L-1. but nimodipine and nicardipine did not basi-cally influence the activity of the enzyme. The experimental results showed that the inhibitory effect of bepridil on the activity of CaM - PK Ⅱ was an antagonistic action of bepridil to CaM.
4.Nosocomial Infection in Our Hospital over a 3-Year Period:Investigation and Analysis
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(02):-
OBJECTIVE To analyze the incidence and related factors of the nosocomial infection in our hospital during a 3-year period.METHODS By using the retrospective method, all inpatient cases in our hospital from 2004 through 2006 were surveyed and analyzed.RESULTS Totally 44 759 inpatient cases were involved in the period, and 1653 cases with nosocomial infection occurred. The infection rate was 3.69%.The major sites of the infection were lower respiratory tract(45.12%),upper respiratory tract(19.12%)and urinary tract(13.77%).The most common pathogens were Klebsiella pneumonial(13.01%),Escherichia coli(11.53%),Pseudomonas aeruginosa(10.39%),and Acinetobacter baumannii(9.13%) in Gram-negative bacteria, and Staphylococcus aureus(5.02%) and S.epidermidis(3.42%) in Gram-positives.Candida albicans(21.8%) was the major isolate in Fungi. The infection rate in ICU was 20% higher than in other departments per year during 3 years.CONCLUSIONS Strengthening the medical knowledge of about nosocomial infection among employees, improving the environment quality of hospital, identifying pathogens correctly and surveying the resistance of antibiotic agents should be noted to control nosocomial infection.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 1984;0(01):-
The blood vessels and nerves of the sole skin of 50 feet of Chinese adult cadavers were observed with an operative microscope. The blood supply of the central part of the sole comes mainly from the medial and lateral plantar ar teries (MPA and LPA). Their average diameter is larger than 2.0mm and their trunk is usually longer than 80mm. When a skin flap is designed, the cutaneous branches from LPA are much better than those from MPA so far as the number of the branches, their external diameter and the extent of the distribution are considered. When the sole skin is stripped away, the cut ends of the cutaneous arteries present a multiple dot-like appearance on the surface of the superficial fascia. The external diameter of the arterial branches, the number of the branches in an unit area, and the total area of the cross section of the branches are different among the regions of the heel and the metatarsal heads, and the central part of the sole. They vary with the weight born on each region. All the cutaneous arteries of the sole are accompanied with veins respectively. Most of the MPA and LPA are accompanied with two veins with a diameter larger than 1.9mm on average. The two veins terminate by joining into two posterior tibial veins.

BACKGROUND: The target gene cannot be deleted at specific time by using conditional gene knockout system. Most gene knockout animals cannot survive during embryonic development and after birth, which limits the study of gene function.
OBJECTIVE: To review the recent advances about time-specific gene knockout technology.
METHODS: An online search in PubMed was performed from the initial stage of database establishment to August 2014. The key words were gene knockout, inducer and Cre/loxP system. The repeated experiment and unrelated articles were excluded during primary search. A summary was made by analyzing time-specific gene knockout technology.
RESULTS AND CONCLUTION: Most important gene knockout animals could not survive after birth, or die at early embryonic stage due to serious physical defects induced by an important gene deletion. Therefore, the progress in the functionality of a gene at a particular time, the genetic characteristics of an individual organism in a particular developmental period, and the treatment of certain acquired disease at a given time have been limited because of the limitations of research methods. However, the occurrence of conditional gene knockout animals, especial y time-specific knockout animals, provides a research model for the study of these areas. This study reviewed the recent advances, development and application about time-specific gene knockout animals, and discussed the significance and broad prospects of time-specific gene knockout technology of specific genes in the field of scientific research.

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical value of continuous electronic fetal heart rate (FHR) monitoring for preterm small for gestational age (PSGA) during labor. MethodsThree hundred and three pregnant women who had inevitable preterm labor at 32-36 weeks′ gestation because of premature rupture of membrane or unknown cause underwent continuous electronic FHR monitoring during labor from Jan 2002 to May 2004. In total, 78 newborns were preterm small for gestational age (PSGA ,PSGA group) and 225 newborns were preterm appropriate for gestational age (PAGA, PAGA group). The cardiotocography (CTG), outcome of labor, and cases with combined umbilical cord abnormality of both groups were analysed retrospectively. ResultsThe number of cases with pure U type variable deceleration of PSGA group and PAGA group was respectively 24 (30.8%) and 10 (4.4%) (P

Objective To study the mRNA expressions of Toll-like receptor (TLR) 2 and 4 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients with leprosy. Methods SYBR Green fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR was conducted to detect the mRNA expressions of TLR2 and 4 in PBMCs from 30 patients with cured leprosy, 30 patients with active leprosy and 30 normal human controls. Results The expression of TLR2 mRNA in patients with active leprosy was significantly higher than that in those with cured leprosy and in controls (both P < 0.01 ), but there was no significant difference between the latter two groups (P > 0.05). The expression of TLR4 mRNA was of no significant difference between patients with active leprosy and those with cured leprosy orthe controls (both P> 0.05). Conclusion The expression of TLR2 mRNA is decreased in PBMCs from leprosy patients, suggesting that TLR2 may be a specific recognition receptor in patients with leprosy.
