Objective To investigate the value of Pituitrin in neonatal cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Methods Seventy-three cases with neonatal cardiopulmonary arrest admitted in emergency department and NICU in our hospital were collected during 2007 to 2011.Newborns who did not respond to conventional neonatal resuscitation therapy were divided into two groups:epinephrine group 47 cases (control group) and Pituitrin combined with epinephrine group 26 cases (treatment group). Results There were no statistical difference (x2 =0.956,P > 0.05) between treatment group and control group in the rates of initial resuscitation success (23.1%,6/26 vs 34.0%,16/47).Conclusion Pituitrin combined with epinephrine has similar efficacy with the use of epinephrine in neonatal cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The column chromatography on silica gel, sephadex LH-20 preparative HPLC were used to separate and purify the compounds from the stems of Dendrobium candidum. Twenty compounds were isolated and identified as 3,4'-dihydroxy-5-methoxybibenzyl(1), dihydroresveratrol(2), dendromoniliside E(3), denbinobin(4),2,4,7-trihydroxy-9, 10-dihydrophenanthrene(5), aduncin(6), (-)-loliolide(7), adenosine(8), uridine(9), guanosine(10), sucrose(11), 5-hydroxymethyl-furaldehyde(12), n-octacostyl ferulate(13), defuscin(14), n-triacontyl cis-p-coumarate(15), daucosterol(16), beta-sitosterol(17), hexadecanoic acid(18), hentriacontane(19), and heptadecanoic acid(20). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data and physicochemical properties. All of the compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.

Objective:To evaluate the relationship between lifestyle factors and depressive symptoms based on the TCLSIH cohort of 2013-2016 and provide evidence for the intervention on lifestyle in the prevention and treatment of depression in the future. Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted in 24 256 persons by using a self-rating depression scale (SDS) to assess the depressive symptoms, and lifestyle questionnaire survey and physical examination were carried out. By using software SAS 9.3. The study subjects were divided into two groups: non-depression group (SDS score <45) and depression group (SDS score≥45), and the relationship between lifestyle factors and depressive symptoms was analyzed. Results:The study subjects in depression group accounted for 16.59 %; the baseline survey showed that compared with non-depression group, the subjects in depression group had higher neutrophil count and lymphocyte count ratio (NLR), lower BMI, lower total energy intake, and lower physical activity level, and tended to take less plant food diet, more animal food diet and sweet food diet ( P<0.000 1). In the depressive group, there were more smokers and less occasional drinkers ( P<0.01), and there were more women, home-aloners, people with lower education levels, people with lower total household income, and less staff members, married and those who liked to contact relatives and friends, but the proportion of people who spent more than 5 hours daily for outdoor activities was higher. Multiple linear regression analysis results showed that being male, aged, NLR, smoking ( OR=1.14, 95 %CI: 1.03-1.26), quitting alcohol, being home-aloners, animal food diet ( OR=1.41, 95 %CI:1.35-1.46), sweet food diet ( OR=1.17, 95 %CI: 1.13-1.22), sleep time >7.5 h/d, outdoor activity time 3-5 h/d, outdoor activity time >5 h/d were positively correlated with depression ( P<0.05). BMI( OR=0.98, 95 %CI: 0.97-0.99), education level ( OR=0.76, 95 %CI: 0.70-0.82), being staff member, total household income ( OR=0.63, 95 %CI: 0.58-0.68), total energy intake, physical activity ( OR=0.86, 95 %CI: 0.84-0.89), married status, move contacts with relatives or friends were negatively related with depression ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Lifestyle is closely related to the occurrence of depressive symptoms, and lifestyle intervention seems be a new way to prevent and treat depression.

Objectives:To explore changes in the quality of life(QoL)in patients with non-severe aplastic anemia(NSAA)after 2 years of cyclosporine A(CsA)therapy, and possible factors may affect the QoL.Methods:Patients with de novo NSAA from January 2014 to 2016 who had been treated with only CsA for at least 2 years in the outpatient department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital were instructed to fill-in the SF-36 form before and after 2 years of CsA treatment. Data from NSAA were compared with those of normal controls; patients’ information such as age, sex, education, annual income, type of payment, and compliance were collected, disease severity and response to treatment were also evaluated. Results:A total of 52 patients were included in our study with 27(51.9%)men and 25(48.1%)women, with the medium age of 48(21-85)years. After 2 years of treatment, 15(28.8%)patients achieved complete response(CR), 25(48.1%)achieved partial response(PR), and 12(23.1%)patients had no response(NR). The overall response rate(ORR)was 76.9%. Before the therapy, SF-36 scores in patients with NSAA were significantly lower than that of normal controls either in physical or mental component summaries( P<0.05). However, after 2 years of therapy, patients with NSAA had significant improvement of mental component summaries and recovered to normal with even higher scores in mental health(MH)(65.9±17.6 vs 59.7±22.9, P=0.014)and energy/vitality(VT)(58.8±20.1 vs 52.3±20.9, P=0.023)compared with normal controls, although they still had comparatively lower scores in physical component summaries. No associations were found between QoL and age, sex, educational level, family income, type of payment, patient adherence, or transfusion dependency. Patients with higher ECOG (the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group score)at the beginning experienced greater progress in QoL compared to those with lower ECOG. Both patients with CR and PR had shown significant improvement in QoL. Conclusion:Patients with NSAA had impaired QoL compared with normal patients. CsA treatment can improve the QoL, especially in mental component summaries. Patients can benefit from the treatment regardless of their social status, and patients with lower ECOG at the beginning seem to benefit more from the therapy.
