Objective To investigate and analyze the effect and insulin dosage of insulin pump in type 2 diabetes. Methods 63 hospital patients with type 2 diabetes(FPG≥12mmol/L), who had poorly controlled blood glucose, were treated by insulin pump for 14 days, without hypoglycemic agents. The treatment days when blood glucose was well controlled and the insulin dosage at that time were observed. FPG, CBG, HbA1c, FINS/FPG, ISI, Homa-B and Homa-IR were measured before and after insulin pump. Results When blood glucose were well controlled, the mean time was (5.4+1.6) days, the insulin was (0.6+0.2)U/kg, the basal insulin was 38%. The dosage of insulin was decreased after blood glucose were controlled. Reaction of hypoglycemia was (0.6+0.2). After 2 weeks insulin pump intensive treatment, the result of FPG, CBG, HOMA-IR and HbA1c were significantly decreased (all P<0.01); FINS/FPG, HOMA-B and ISI were incleased (all P<0.01). Conclusion The excellent glycemic control and improvement of beta-cell function can be induced by short-term insulin pump intensive therapy in diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients with severe hypoglycemia.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the imaging features of osteopoikilosis and its diagnosis knowledge.
METHODSThe imaging data of 9 patients with osteopoikilosis were analyzed retrospectively, including 6 familial cases and 3 sporadic cases. In 6 familial cases, there were 4 males and 2 females with an average age of 28 years old ranging from 10 to 63 years. Clinical manifestations of 1 familial case were left knee pain and limitation of activity for 3 years, and other 5 cases without clinical manifestation. In 3 sporadic cases, there were 2 males and 1 female with an average age of 33.7 years old ranging from 25 to 44 years. Three sporadic cases had obvious injury history with following up from 6 to 12 months. All imaging results of 9 cases were observed.
RESULTSThe imaging data of 6 familial osteopoikilosis showed the multiple round or oval nodes within bone with clear margins, uniform density, different size. The occurrence of the hyperostotic spots preferentially localized in the epiphyses and metaphyses of the long bones, and carpus and tarus. X-ray features of 3 sporadic osteopoikilosis were similar to that of 6 familial cases and for 6 to 12 months follow-up X-ray features were unchanged.
CONCLUSIONThe imaging features of osteopoikilosis are relatively specific such as the multiple mottling dense focal within bone with clear border and bilateral symmetry, and the focus located on cancellous bone and the diaphyses usually is unaffected. The imaging is a valuable examination for the accurate diagnosis of osteopoikilosis.

The main objective of this research is to investigate the effects of astragaloside IV, calycosin separately glucoside, formononetin on oxidative stress in Chang Liver cells induced by H2O2. In the experiments, Chang Liver cells (a kind of normal human hepatocytes) were used as the research object, bifendate which has a clear hepatoprotective effect was used as the positive control drug, then the oxidative damage model of Chang Liver cells were established by H2O2. Cells were divided into six groups: blank control group, oxidative stress group, astragaloside IV group, calycosin separately glucoside group, formononetin group and positive control group. Then endogenous antioxidant system related indexes were detected by micro plate and colorimetric method; intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) were detected by DCFH-DA fluorescent probe; and the expressions of CYP2E1 were evaluated by liver microsomes, mRNA, and protein, respectively with spectrophotometry, Real-time PCR method, and Western blot technique. Results showed that H2O2 decreased antioxidant activity, and increased ROS level and expression of CYP2E1. The above oxidative stress status had been changed with protections of the three components of Astragalus membranaceus (compared with oxidative stress group, P < 0.05, P < 0.01), which taken as a whole had equivalent effects as the drug of positive control group( bifendate). Taken together, three Astragalus membranaceus ingredients all had significant or extremely significant inhibiting effects on oxidative damaged Chang Liver cells which were induced by H2O2, and the oxidative damage of Chang Liver cells had been relieved.

Aim Tostudytheeffectsofferulicacid (FA) on doxorubicin (DOX) induced cellular injury inH9c2ratmyocardialcells.Methods H9c2cells were treated with 1μmol·L-1 DOX treated for 24 h to establish a myocardial injury model. 10, 20, 40μmol ·L-1 FA was added 2 h before DOX treatment. Cell viability was measured by cell counter kit ( CCK-8 ) . Morphological changes were observed by phase contrast microscope. LDH, CK, MDA, SOD levels were detec-ted by biochemical kits. Intracellular level of reactive oxygen species ( ROS) was examined by DCF-DA stai-ning with flow cytometry. Cellular apoptosis was detec-ted by AO-EB staining and DNA agarose gel electro-phoresis. The expression of caspase-3, Bax, Bcl-2 was evaluatedbyWesternblot. Results Exposureof H9c2 cells to DOX led to decrease in cell viability, in-crease in stress and apoptosis. FA pre-treatment im-proved cell viability in a dose-dependent manner, at-tenuated leakage of LDH and CK, and reversed mor-phological changes induced by DOX. FA suppressed DOX-induced oxidative stress as evidenced by reducing ROS and MDA generation and increasing SOD enzyme activity. FA depressed myocardial apoptosis by down-regulating pro-apoptotic protein caspase-3 and Bax, whereas up-regulating apoptosis inhibitory protein Bcl-2.Conclusions FAhasaprotectiveeffectonDOX-induced injury in H9c2 cells. This protection may re-sult from inhibition of myocardial oxidative stress and apoptosis.
