China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(6):1048-1053
Chemical constituents of the essential oil in above-ground and root of Bupleurum malconense and root of B. chinense were investigated by GC-MS compiled with automated mass spectral deconvolution and identification system (AMDIS) and retention index. The results showd that the components of essential oil in B. malconense have some similarities with the one in B. chinense, and both of them have the higher content of caryophyllene oxide which is an active component of anti-inflammatory and analgesic. These results suggested that as a local substitute, B. malconense has a certain scientific basis of the treatment for cold fever.

Chinese Journal of Nursing 2017;52(3):321-326
Objective To explore the bone mineral density (BMD) status and its influencing factors in schizophrenia patients in order to provide basis for risk assessment in psychiatric nursing. Methods A total of 1,139 hospitalized schizophrenia patients were recruited and assigned into the medication group (n=652) and the non-medication group (n=487) according to previous antipsychotic drug history.T-score and Z-score of BMD were determined using Sunlight Omnisense 7000S Bone Densitometry.Blood calcium, blood phosphorus and serum prolactin levels were measured using fasting blood of ulnar vein. Results Differences in age,BMD,milk intake, level of activity, level of smoking, history of fall, history of fracture, serum Ca2+ and PRL were statistically significant between two groups(P<0.05);there were significant differences in BMD rank distributions among schizophrenia patients with different courses of disease and lengths of taking antipsychotics (P<0.001);multiple linear regression showed that influencing factors of BMD with statistical significance were courses of disease, lengths of taking antipsychotics, serum Ca2+,serum PRL,milk intake, level of activity, and level of smoking. Conclusion The BMD was lower in the medication group than that in the non-medication group, and the development of osteoporosis was correlated to various factors.Clinical nurses should master high-risk factors thoroughly and adopt intervention measures in a timely manner.

Executive impairment is one of the common sequelae of stroke, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Repeti-tive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), as a new type of electrophysiological technique, has been used in the clinical treatment of Post-Stroke Executive Impairment (PSEI). This paper summarized the survey of PSEI, the basic principle and mechanism of rTMS, clinical application of rTMS for PSEI and its safety. Clinical studies showed that high frequency stimulation, low frequency stimulation, and combi-nation with other therapeutic methods were effective in PSEI. However, there was no unified theory about the mechanism and the best treat-ment plan of rTMS for PSEI.

Objective To compare the sensitivity and specificity of Leptospira interrogans using loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) and real-time PCR technology, then looking for a rapid, sensitive and specific methods for the detection of Leptospira interrogans. MethodsIn accordance with lipL41 gene from Leptospira interrogans, primers for LAMP and real-time PCR were designed and used to detect Leptospira interrogans in cultured 15 reference strains of 15 serogroups in China, then compared the sensitivity and specificity of the two methods in the detection of Leptospira interrogans. ResultsThe LAMP reaction could be completed within 30 min, and whole process of it less than 60 min. The whole real-time PCR reaction could be finished at about 60 min. Both of them had the same detection sensitivity and specificity, the lower detection limits in the reactions was approximately 100 copies and there was no false positive occurred. ConclusionBoth LAMP and real-time PCR were time-saving and had the same sensitivity and specificity. But LAMP reaction could be done under a constant temperature conditions, and need not a special expensive equipment. Therefore, as a sensitive and specific method for quantifying Leptospira interrogans, the LAMP assay was more rapidly and convenient than conventional methods.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the effect of exogenous orexinA on the pyramid neurons and interneurons in the prefrontal cortex prelimbic(PL)area. Methods The pyramid neurons and interneurons in PL area of Kunming mice were selected from prefrontal cortex slices by infrared visual patch clamp technique. The morphology and electrophysiological features of the pyramid neurons and interneurons were observed. The effect of exogenous orexinA at a concentration of 400 nmol/L on these cells was studied using the whole cell configuration. Results The pyramid neurons were large, pyramidal in cell body with clear apical dendrites extending vertically and several basal dendrites radiating. The interneurons were comparatively smaller and had several processes from cell body.In current clamp mode, all 54 pyramid neurons having been recorded showed frequency adaption, and the 15 recorded interneurons discharged rapidly and had no frequency adaption. While in vol-tage clamp mode,36 pyramid neurons were regarded as Ih(+)pyramid neurons for recorded hyperpolariztion-activated cation current, and the left 18 and 15 interneurons were Ih(-).Exogenous orexinA had a total reaction rate of 51.9% on 54 recorded pyramid neurons under current clamp, and a rate of 66.7% on 36 Ih(+)pyramid neurons and of 22.2% on the Ih(-)pyramid neurons under voltage clamp. All 15 recorded interneurons had no reaction to exogenous orexinA under either mode. Conclusion OrexinA plays excitatory effect on pyramid neurons in the prefrontal cortex PL area, and this effect is much more noticeable in pyramid neurons with Ih currents.

Objective To systemically review the efficacy and safety of low dose spironolatone combined with angiotensin convertig enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) or angiotensin Ⅱ receptor blockers (ARB) on diabetic nephropathy. Methods PubMed,the Cochrane library (Issue 4,2014),CBM,CNKI,VIP and WanFang Data were searched from inception to July 2014 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) concerning ACEI or ARB combined with low-dose spironolatone in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy. Two reviewers screened literature according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, extracted data, and assessed the methodological quality of included studies. Then Meta analysis was performed using RevMan 5.2 software. Results A total of 19 RCTs involving 1313 patients were included in this study. The results of Meta-analysis showed that compared with ACEI or ARB treatment alone,ACEI or ARB combined with low-dose spironolatone had lower urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER) [mean difference (MD) =21.03,95% CI:18.51-23.56,P< 0.01] and proteinuria (MD=171.29,95% CI:81.96-260.62,P<0.01),and had no influence on plasma albumin (Alb) (MD=-0.25,95% CI:-0.66-0.17,P>0.05),meanwhile had lower serum creatinine (Scr) (MD=2.63,95%CI:0.92-4.34,P<0.05),but had higher concentration of blood potassium (MD=-0.26,95% CI:-0.37-0.14,P<0.01).Conclusions ACEI or ARB combined with low-dose spironolactone can significantly reduce the urinary albumin level and delay the deterioration of renal function.Blood potassium concentrations in most patients are within the normal range, although it is increased after the treatment of ACEI or ARB combined with low-dose spironolactone.
