1.Clinical application of interventional diagnosis and therapy in gastrointestinal hemorrhage

Objective To evaluate the effect of interventional diagnosis and therapy in gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Methods 32 patients with gastrointestinal hemmorrhage, including 12 cases of tumor and 20 cases of vascular malformation were analized retrospectively. DSA was performed in 32 cases, barium meal radiography were undertaken in 27 cases. DSA, CTA and barium meal radiography were all performed in 13 cases. Superselective embolization was performed in 10 cases with vascular malformation. Results DSA showed clearly the radiologic features all gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Coupled DSA with CTA was reliable for diagnosis of intestinal submucosa tumor. All five cases of vascular malformation underwent successful superselective embolization showing no complication and relapse during 6 month to 2 years. Conclusions Superselective DSA and CTA are valuable methods for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Interventional embolization is an effective modarity in the treatment of gastrointestinal hemorrhage.
2.Clinical observation of the silicone tube implantation under the guidance of memory wire in the treatment of lacrimal canaliculus

AIM:To disscus the clinical effect of the silicone tube implantation under the guidance of memory wire in the treatment of lacrimal canaliculus.
METHODS:One hundred and fifteen cases (115 eyes ) of traumatic canalicular laceration were treated by canaliculoplasty from September 2012 to June 2014. Finding the end of lacrimal canaliculus under microscope, guided by memory wire which was probed in lacrimal passage to the nasal cavity, intubating double-passage silicone tube as a support and end-to-end anastomosis. The condition of epiphora and irrigation of lacrimal passage were observed after extubation.
RESULTS: All 115 cases were experienced successful operation. All patients were followed up for 6mo ~ 1a (mean 9. 3mo) after extubation. Lacrimal passage was unobstructed in 96 cases 96 eyes(83. 5%), stricture in 13 cases 13 eyes (11. 3%), and blocked in 6 cases 6 eyes (5. 2%).
CONCLUSION:Double-passage silicone tube guided by memory wire may be an optional technique in the treatment of traumatic lacrimal duct laceration, which is a feasible, minimally - invasive, safe and effective method.
3.Nosocomial Infection in Children with Malignancies During Neutropenia Stage: A Clinical Investigation

OBJECTIVE To investigate the characteristic and prognosis of nosocomial infection in children patients with malignances during deficiency stage of neutropenia. METHODS The clinical characteristic of infections and efficiency of antibiotics were analyzed retrospectively in 174 malignances children with nosocomial infection from Jan 2000 to Jun 2005. RESULTS The incidence rate of nosocomial infection in children patients with malignances during deficiency stage of neutropenia was 67.4%.Nosocomial infection was occurred mainly in the respiratory tract,oral cavity,blood,skin,and intestinal tract of patients.The main pathogens were bacteria(86.8%),and fungal infection was 13.2%.The Gram-negative bacilli were relatively sensitive to imipenem,amikacin,ceftazidine,piperacillin/tazobactam,and ticarcillin/clavulanic acid.The Gram positive cocci were sensitive to vancomycin,imipenem,meropenem,ampicillin/sulbactam,ciprofloxcin and clindamycin.The death rate due to nosocomial infection was 44.4%. CONCLUSIONS There is higher incidence of nosocomial infection in children patients with malignances during the neutropenia stage.Good nursing,intestines disinfection,the usage of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor,a reasonable usage of antibiotics and preventing the fungal infection are good to control nosocomial infection in children malignances.
4.A RNA Isolation Method Suitable for a Wide Range of Materials

High levels of RNase,polysaccharides and polyphenol compounds make isolation of high quality RNA difficult. Thus it is presented an effective RNA extraction method based on the nuclease adsorbent macaloid,poly vinyl pyrrolidone,and high concentration of KAc and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether,which has successfully extracted high-quality RNA from many materials difficult to RNA isolation,such as RNase-rich rabbit liver,plant and microbial tissues rich in polysaccharides,lipids and polyphenol compounds. This method was found to be better than the ones in common use-Trizol and Guanidinium isothiocyanate,the yield of which was at least three time higher. Furtherly,small RNA was enriched from total RNA sample from rice seedling through by repeat deposit which deals with high concentration of LiCl,PEG8000 and NaCl. The small RNA gained was confirmed to be used for following molecular biological research by RT-PCR with the primers designed on osa-mir-156 sequence from rice miRNA.

AIM: To investigate the sequence expression o f CD158 molecule after tacrolimus (FK506), mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) combined with methylprednisone (MP) treatment for refractory chronic graft-versus-host di seases (cGVHD). METHODS: The efficacy and the side effect were observed in 6 chi ld patients with extensive cGVHD after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transp lantation treated with the combination of FK506, MMF and MP, meanwhile the chang es of the CD158 expressions on T lymphocytes and NK cells in peripheral blood be fore and after treatment were observed. RESULTS: The expression of CD4+CD158a+ and CD4+CD158b+ were very low before and after transplantation and treatment, there was no stati stical significance. 6.Inhibitory effects of triptolide on cell proliferation and metastasis in Raji cells in vitro

AIM:To investigate the inhibitory effects of triptolide on cell proliferation and metastasis in Burkitt's lymphoma cell line Raji cells.METHODS: The effects of triptolide on the growth of Raji cells were studied by 3-(4,5-Dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium(MTT) assay.The effects of triptolide on the cell apoptosis of Raji cells were detected by using Annexin Ⅴ/PI double-labled cytometry.The effects of triptolide on CXCR4 expression on Raji cells were studied by flow cytometric analysis.Chemotaxis assays were performed to observe the effects of triptolide on migration of Raji cells towards recombinant human SDF-1?(rhSDF-1?)in vitro.RESULTS: Triptolide inhibited the proliferation of Raji cells in a dose-and time-dependent way with a 24 h IC50 value of 43.06 nmol/L and a 36 h IC50 value of 25.08 nmol/L.Following the treatment of triptolide,the cell apoptosis rate was increased as the treatment concentration increased and the culture time extended.The effects were dose-and time-dependent.Triptolide could downregulate the expression of CXCR4 on Raji cells in a dose-dependent manner.Moreover,chemotaxis assay suggested that triptolide could block the migration of Raji cells to rhSDF-1? in vitro,and the inhibition was dose-dependent.CONCLUSION: Triptolide could inhibit the cell proliferation and induce the cell apoptosis of Raji cells.Furthermore,it could block the cell metastasis of Raji cells in vitro and the underlying mechanism might be related to the inhibition of the SDF-1/CXCR4 axis.
7.Effect of health education on farmers' intention of joining in the new rural cooperative medical system

Objective:To evaluate the impact of health education intervention on promoting rural residents to join new rural cooperative medical system(NCMS)and their intention of joining NCMS based on Health Belief Model in project areas in Henan and Jilin Provinces.Methods:Quasi-experiment study was used to evaluate intervention impact.Following the evidence-based approach,according to needs assessment,a half-year health education intervention was implemented among farmers in the experimental counties in Henan and Jilin Provinces respectively.A questionnaire survey was conducted among farmers in intervention and control counties before and after intervention,and intervention impact was evaluated by comparing the indicators' changes in intervention and control counties.Results:After health education intervention,the knowledge level of farmers in two intervention counties increased by 29.0% and 37.8% respectively,their scores of perceived threatens of health risk and perceived barriers of joining NCMS among the respondents were decreased.Meanwhile,their score of perceived benefit of joining NCMS were increased,and the rate of willingness to join NCMS increased remarkably in both intervention counties.Conclusion:Health education was effective and helpful in increasing farmer's knowledge,understanding and cognitive level of NCMS,and it should play an important role for the sustainable development of NCMS.

Objective To examine the relationship between plasma homocysteine level and status of congestive heart failure. Methods Plasma homocysteine level was determined in 106 patients with congestive heart failure(CHF).Among them,40 patients were diagnosed as having recent onset of CHF(group 1) and the remaining 66 were receiving conventional treatment(group 2).Thirty healthy subjects were served as a control group. The production technology for the first generation of biofuels has been made great achievements and some countries, such as USA, EU countries, and Brazil, have formed successful biofuel industrial chains. Cellulose ethanol, a representative of the second generation of biofuels and a kind of more promising alternative fuels, has not yet got enough key technological breakthroughs and its large scale commercial production still needs rather some time to realize. Now it is in the early stage of transition to the second generation of biofuels. Taking the development of second generation of biofuels as their national policies, many countries have developed long-term development plans and objectives, and provided a good policy environment and strong support for it. Thus institutes and enterprises are engaging and successing in addressing key issues relating to the development of biofuels. At the mean time, some important issues relating to the sustainable development of biofuels have attracted people's attention.
