Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the application value of intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) in living donor liver transplantation(LDLT). Methods In LDLT, IOUS techniques (gray scale ultrasound and color Doppler flow imaging) were adopted in 26 donors and recipients for parenchymal and vascular examinations. The abnormal sonograms were observed, and the anatomic findings of hepatic veins were recorded. All the reanastomosed blood vessels were examined by gray scale ultrasound and color Doppler flow imaging before the operations were completed. Results A hepatic parenchymatous tumor was revealed by IOUS in one donor. Besides, middle hepatic veins in 13 donors and secondary hepatic veins with diameter﹥0.5 cm in 5 donors were confirmed by IOUS. Furthermore, one operation procedure was changed and one hepatic artery stenosis was established according to IOUS findings. Conclusion IOUS is a very useful means in evaluation of parenchymal and vascular conditions of donors and recipients in LDLT, which helps to select the best cross section and provides evidence for the change of surgical procedures.

Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2016;51(19):1706-1709
OBJECTIVE: To find out the essentials of clinical pharmacists' work on making individualized anticoagulation therapy, tailored to patients with deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary tuberculosis, and on its pharmaceutical care. METHODS: The clinical pharmacist participated in one case of individualized anticoagulation therapy and provided pharmaceutical care to one patient with deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary tuberculosis. The patient used to take warfarin, but the treatment was ineffective, therefore the clinical pharmacist tried to find out the reason from such aspects as interactions among genetic polymorphism, anticoagulants and anti-TB drugs, then adjusted the therapy for the patient. RESULTS: A dosage regimen suitable for the patient was formulated, and medication education was carried out to the patient in terms of medication instructions, such as influencing factors on curative effects of warfarin and monitoring of INR, to improve the patient compliance related to anticoagulation therapy. CONCLUSION: Clinical pharmacists should start pharmaceutical service right from making individualized anticoagulation therapy and carrying out pharmaceutical care.
5. Maslinic acid induces autophagy through PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2020;51(9):2481-2485
Objective: To investigate the effects of maslinic acid (MA) on the proliferation and autophagy in nasopharyngeal carcinoma CNE2 cells and to elucidate the regulatory role of PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway in this process. Methods: The effect of MA on the proliferation of CNE2 cells was assessed by CCK-8. MDC staining of autophagic vacuoles was performed for autophagy analysis. Additionally, the levels of autophagy-and PI3K/Akt/mTOR-associated proteins were examined using western blot analysis. Results: MA significantly inhibited the proliferation of CNE2 cells in a dose-and time-dependent manner. MA displayed autophagy-inducing effect, as shown by the increased MDC-labeled vacuoles, up-regulated LC3-II/LC3-I ratio and Atg5, as well as the down-regulated p62 level after MA treatment. Moreover, we observed that MA inhibited the expression of PI3K-p110α and the phosphorylation of Akt and mTOR. Conclusion: MA inhibits the proliferation and induces the autophagy of CNE2 cells, the mechanism may be related to the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway. These results imply that MA may be a potential anti-cancer agent for use in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
