Journal of Medical Research 2017;46(4):143-145
Objective To investigate the value of combined detection of GGT,blood lipid and hs-CRP in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods Totally 134 patients with coronary heart disease and 38 patients without coronary heart disease were selected after coronary angiography.Coronary heart disease patients were divided into mild stenosis group (group A,n =40),Moderate stenosis group (group B,n =38) and severe stenosis group (group C,n =56) according to Gensini score. The age, sex,GGT,blood lipid and hs-CRP levels were detected in all groups, and t-he statistical analysis was performed by using SPSS 22.0 software. Results The level of GGT,TC,TG,LDL and hs-CRP in CHD group were all higher than those in non CHD group (P < 0.05).The level of HDL was lower than that in the non CHD group (P < 0.05).The level of GGT,TC,TG,LDL,hs-CRP in group B and C were higher than group A (P <0.05).The level of HDL in group B and C were lower than group A(P <0.05).The level of GGT,TC,TG,LDL,hs-CRP in group C were higher than group B (P < 0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that serum GGT,TG,hs-CRP were independent risk factors for coronary heart disease (P < 0.05),HDL was an independent protective factor for coronary heart disease (P < 0.05).Conclusion The combined detection of GGT,blood lipid and hs-CRP has important value in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease.
3.Roles of mitochondrial dysfunction in diabetes and diabetic cardiomyopathy
Journal of Chinese Physician 2014;16(10):1297-1302
Diabetes mellitus is a common disease of serious harmful to human health, but its pathogenesis is not entirely clear.Mitochondria are the important organelles to generate energy in eukaryocytes, and play a pivotal role in the regulation of reactive oxygen species generation, intracellular calcium homeostasis, and apoptosis signal transduction. The possible causes of mitochondrial dysfunction include oxidative stress,Ca2+ disturbances, reduction of mitochondrial biosynthesis, opening of mitochondrial permeability transition pore, mitochondrial DNA mutations, and etc..Many studies demonstrate that mitochondrial dysfunction is associated with β-cell dysfunction of type 1 diabetes mellitus and insulin resistance of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Moreover, mitochondrial dysfunction plays important roles in the development of diabetic cardiomyopathy. This present article reviewed the current status of studies on the relationship of mitochondrial dysfunction and diabetes mellitus and diabetic cardiomyopathy. It is very important to understand and study mitochondrial dysfunction and its important roles in diabetes mellitus and diabetic cardiomyopathy in order to clarify the pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus and explore new approaches of prevention and treatment for diabetes mellitus.

National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(10):925-930
Spermatogenesis is a complex process. Current knowledge about human spermatogenesis is mainly based on the mouse model while little is known about the initial stage of this fundamental process in humans. The establishment of the model of spermatogenesis in vitro may contribute to an overall understanding of male germ cell development, an insight into the mechanisms of infertility, and clinical management of male infertility. This review summarizes current knowledge about the generation of germ cell-like cells from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) in vitro and discusses the potential application of iPSCs in the treatment of male infertility.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(03):-
Objective To proceed deep data mining in large database obtained by Cancer Genome Anatomy Project and to distinguish the difference expression genes of gastric carcinoma. Methods The 300,783 serial analysis of gene expression records from 4 libraries of gastric cancer and 2 libraries of normal gastric tissue in database of the Cancer Genome Anatomy Project were analyzed by digital gene expression displayer. Results The 201 difference expression tags represented 136 genes(54 up-regulated and 82 down-regulated) and 65 ESTs(24 up-regulated and 41 down-regulated) were distinguished, and these genes were involved in biological process and signal transduction pathways, such as cell cycle regulation, cell proliferation and apoptosis. The gene expression profile in whole body normal and cancer tissues of PTMA were constructed by digital Northern based on serial analysis of gene expression database and by virtual Northern based on cDNA database, respectively. Conclusion The difference expression genes of gastric cancer can be distinguished effectively with bioinformatics, and the results will guide our further molecular biology research. If validated by molecular biology experiment, the difference expression genes will be used as molecular targets of gastric carcinoma.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection on serum tumor necrosis factor-α, procalcitonin, lipopolysaccharide and 28-day mortality in patients with sepsis. Methods:Ninety patients with sepsis who received treatment in Ningbo Yinzhou People's Hospital from February 2018 to February 2019 were included in this study. They were randomly assigned to receive routine treatment (control group, n = 45) or Ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection treatment combined with routine treatment (treatment group, n = 45). Clinical efficacy, preoperative and postoperative Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II score, Sequential Organ Failure Assessment score, serum tumor necrosis factor-α, procalcitonin, bacterial lipopolysaccharide levels as well as 28-day mortality were compared between the control and treatment groups. Results:There was significant difference in total effective rate between the treatment and control groups [91.11% (41/45) vs. 75.56% (34/45), χ 2 = 6.690, P = 0.039]. After treatment, Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II score and Sequential Organ Failure Assessment score in the treatment group were (15.93 ± 1.01) points and (6.25 ± 1.83) points, respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the control group [(18.62 ± 1.75) points, (8.54 ± 2.19) points, t = 8.931, 5.383, all P < 0.001]. After treatment, serum tumor necrosis factor-α, procalcitonin and lipopolysaccharide levels in the treatment group were (43.62 ± 3.39) ng/L, (1.46 ± 0.79) μg/L, (23.62 ± 7.19) ng/L, respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the control group [(56.28 ± 4.54) ng/L, (2.12 ± 1.03) ng/L, (33.75 ± 8.67) ng/L, t = 14.989, 3.411, 6.033, P < 0.001, P = 0.001, P < 0.001]. The 28-day mortality in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group [6.67%(3/45) vs. 22.22%(10/45), χ 2 = 8.160, P = 0.017]. Conclusion:Based on routine treatment, Ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with sepsis, reduce inflammatory reaction and decrease mortality.

ObjectiveTo assess the quality of applications for the state funds for natural sciences and the research capabilities of researchers in medicine and other relevant fields in China so as to provide the State Fund Committee for Natural Sciences with scientific basis for systematically planning research funds for the medical field and improving the system of supervising funds for life sciences. MethodsAnalysis was conducted on project applications that were submitted to the Life Sciences Department from 1984 through 2001 and underwent quantitative peer review to explore trends of changes in project applications, the scores and the rate of fund-winning projects. ResultsBoth the quantity and quality of project applications in medicine and other relevant fields showed the trend of going up year by year whereas the rate of fund-winning projects presented an opposite trend. ConclusionThe State Fund Committee for Natural Sciences ought to broaden the scope of subsidization for medicine and other relevant fields and readjust existing funds for life sciences so as to shunt and alleviate the application pressure in medicine and other relevant fields.
