Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;29(7):813-816
Objective: To observe the in vitro and in vivo antifungal activity of a triadimenol compound SL-130. Methods: The M27-A project recommended by the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standard (NCCLS) in 1997 was used in the present study. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC80) of SL-130 were determined for candidal and non-candidal strains with different susceptibilities to fluconazole. Agar disk diffusion test, time-kill curves test and mouse survival rate were employed to examine the antifungal activity of SL-130. Results: The results indicated that SL-130 had stronger in vitro antifungal activity than fluconazole, and similar in vivo activity to fluconazole. Conclusion: The structure of SL-130 is quite unique and it has in vitro and in vivo antifungal activity: further study is warranted on the compound.

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of early-stage serum interieukin-10 (IL-10) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in patients with acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning (AOPP). Method 186 cases of AOPP were divided into mild group, moderate group and severe group according to the severity. 30 healthy volunteers served as control group. APACHE Ⅱ scores were evaluated for these patiences and their serum concentrations of IL-10 and TNF-α were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results APACHE Ⅱ scores increased significantly with the exacerbations of AOPP (P <0. 05). The serum IL-10 concentrations of AOPP was slightly higher than the control group. There was no significant difference compared with the control group (P >0. 05). APACHE Ⅱ scores positively correlated with the serum TNF-α concentrations, but not with the serum IL-10. However, the ratio of TNF-α and IL-10 positively correlated with APACHE Ⅱ scores ( P < 0. 01 ). Conclusions There were pro-inflammatory response and anti-inflammatory response in patients with AOPP. Overrelease of inflammation promoting factor and imbalance between inflammation promoting and inhibiting factors correlated with the severity of AOPP, which may be an important mechanism of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome of AOPP.

Liquid-assisted surface desorption atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry (LA-DAPCI-MS)was used directly for the analysis of healthy rat liver (normal control group);acute alcoholic injury rat liver(alcohol model group)and Zhizi Dahuang decoction-treated rat liver (ZZDHD group)sections with the mass spectrometry images obtained simultaneously.Principal component analysis (PCA)was employed for the differentiation of livers of the groups;and 3 phospholipids;PC (34 ∶2);PC(36 ∶4)and PC(38 ∶4);were found to be the main factors.LA-DAPCI mass spectrometry images showed that the 3 phospholipids were evenly distrib-uted in liver under the spatial resolution of 0.01 mm2.Contents of 3 PCs in the model group were decreased in alcohol model group compared to the normal control group and the ZZDHD group;which revealed the relationship between acute alcoholic liver injury and intrahepatic phospholipid variation. The results showed that ZZDHD had protective effect on acute alcoholic liver injury-induced intrahepatic phospholipid variations at the molecular level.

Objective To investigate the clinical therapeutic effect of filiform fire needling on tennis elbow.Method Eighty patients with tennis elbow were randomly allocated to a filiform fire needling group of 30 cases, a block group of 20 cases and an electroacupuncture group of 30 cases. The treatment group received. Pain severity was scored using the VAS after one and two weeks and one month of treatment. The therapeutic effects were evaluated and compared after one month of treatment.Result The total efficacy rate was 93.3% in the filiform fire needling group, 60.0% in the block group and 50.0% in the electroacupuncture group; there was a statistically significant difference among the three groups (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant difference between the filiform fire needling and block groups (P<0.05) and between the filiform fire needling and electroacupuncture groups (P<0.05) but no significant difference between the block and electroacupuncture groups (P>0.05). The VAS score decreased significantly in the block group (P<0.05) but did not in the filiform fire needling and electroacupuncture groups (P>0.05) after one week of treatment compared with before. The VAS score decreased significantly in the filiform fire needling and block groups (P<0.05) but did not in the electroacupuncture group (P>0.05) after two weeks of treatment compared with before. There was no statistically significant posttreatment difference in the VAS score between the filiform fire needling and block groups (P>0.05) but there was such a difference between the filiform fire needling or block group and the electroacupuncture group (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in the VAS score in the filiform fire needling and block groups (P<0.01) and also in the electroacupuncture group (P<0.05) between before and after one month of treatment. There was a statistically significant difference in the VAS score after one month of treatment between the filiform fire needling group and the block or electroacupuncture group (P<0.05) and between the block and electroacupuncture groups (P<0.05). The results of the study showed that filiform fire needling, local drug blockage and electroacupuncture all had clinically a better therapeutic effect on tennis elbow and a better improving effect on the symptoms in the patients. Filiform fire needling produced a marked therapeutic effect. Its effect was superior to those of block therapy and electroacupuncture. Conclusion Filiform fire needling is a definitely effective way to treat tennis elbow.

AIM: To study the isolation, purification and characterization of Ramulus Mori polysaccharide. METHODS: Ramulus Mori was extracted by boiling water. The raw extract was precipitated fractionally by alcohol deproteinized, passing through DEAE ion exchange cellulose ( DEAE-52) and SephadexG-100,obtained RMPS1 and RMPS2. The composition and characterization of Ramulus Mori polysaccharide were researched by TLC、IR、 GC、HPLC and smith degradation. RESULTS: The molecular weight of RMPS1 and RMPS2 were 5. 8 ? 105 and 6. 5 ? 105; RMPS1was made up of rhammose、arabinose、glucose and galactose with the molarity rate of 1. 08 ∶ 1 ∶ 1. 40 ∶ 1. 57; RMPS2 of rhammose、glucose and galactose with the molarity rate of 11. 38 ∶ 1 ∶ 1. 35. Smith degradation showed that the main linkage form in RMPS1 and RMPS2 was 1→2 and 1→4 glycosidic linkages,But some 1→3 glycosidic linkages also existed in the molecules; infrared spectrum showed that both had the polysaccharide characteristic absorption peaks. CONCLUSION: The structures of RMPS1 and RMPS2 are first determined from Ramulus Mori.
